Cheaper tip; use a military surplus type bag with full molle webbing for $20 and battery straps. I guarantee that you'll be able to carry 3x as many quads just using battery straps with all your essentials with a 64L mil spec molle.
Personally I absolutely love my pack it’s got more space than I need but it is awesome because like for rampage, I can put literally everything except clothes in there. I have all 25+ Lipos, charger, power supply, couple micros, all of my tools , transmitter (laid flat the most space consuming method), Google’s, accessory batteries for my radio and goggles, antennas, Mavic Mini 2 (full kit, controller, extra batteries, extra props, etc) 2 GoPros, GoPro Batteries, parallel board, you name it I’ve got it in my pack. However with that said, I am a decently big dude, around 6’2” and I will say that while it fits me perfect and I’ve worn it for extended periods of time, a person of smaller stature may find it hard to use because of where it would rest on your back. The build construction is phenomenal as well as the durability. After about a week, zero issues, no rips, tears, etc. then the outside provides enough room to easily strap 6 quads to it two in the back and two on either side. If I forgot something or you have a question just let me know!
The Pyrodrone backpack looks nice but I already have the Torvol & it's all I need. Fits all my gear for a day of flying & it's very comfortable even on long hikes.
@@JoshuaBardwell funny thing they will say something to you then there will be a girl with a huge purse and a big carry on walking thru right on front of you lol
Finally a bag for my micros!! Just being silly. Honestly though, the Torvol looks like something I’d prefer to use, even though I guess the Pyrodrone is tailored more to someone who is going away for a longer time, where the super size definitely comes in handy. When I wear out my Hive, that Pyrodrone backpack is the style I'll be looking for. I like being able to carry _everything_ and still have space for a few extra bits and bobs I didn't know I couldn't live without.
I could see a use for this if im going camping for the purpose of doing nature filming for two days or something. A mavic, filters, a camera, two 5", quads, DJI goggles, controllers, clothes, solar cells and/or a big power bank, a metric ton of batteries... Then all the cables, spare parts, tools MRE:s, first aid etc. Then just strap a ultra light tent and sleeping back to the MOLLE webbing. Sure, it won't be light or comfy, but it will work and protect the gear better than an actual trecking backpack.

That is indeed a huge bag. Not a bad option, and of course could be customized a bit for even more convenience, though reviewing them as they come is the right thing.
I'm sure you have a lot of random weird techies coming at you all the time. I would like to speak with you personally to learn if possible. If not no worries I understand. I'm a powersports mechanic from east ky and I'm learning as much as I can for a build from youtube over the last few weeks. Uavfuters and you have have been the most informative so far.. Watching your bench charger vid answered many questions I've wondered over the years about ac and DC that I've pondered over the years. Thank you sir for your content.
That backpack is as big as your torso! I like my Torvol, comfortable to wear and the rigidity of the compartment space is good, but wish there were a couple of things different - namely the quad strap situation (everyone who's used one knows what I'm talking about) and then there are the side pockets, they should have used more material for the flap part so you can cram more things in them without feeling like you're stressing the zips.
Seen the picture of this exact backpack fitting into Southwest carryon tester... I’m taking it on a Spirit flight in two days; will update you on how it goes!
I currently have the BetaFlight Hive. I think its probably the best, if you have a very specific goal in mind. Its not super huge, but its highly customizable with a good enough amount of variety of pouch sizes and purpose built places (like the hard top pouch for transmitters, and the internal lipo safe bag.) However, if you want to bring everything as well as the kitchen sink, I find myself having to haul around 3-4 containers worth of stuff. (Hive bag, my transmitter pelican case, and a massive deep tool box I use to carry quads and bulk props.) I wonder if something like the Pyro bag might be better suited for that. Basically the type of bag where space isn't a problem (read airline requirements), and where I am not hiking all day (just lugging from car to pit bench).
The long pouch on the side with the carry-handle is perfect for smaller tripods (like my 65” Vanguard). The problem I’m trying to solve is that the inside compartments are so deep that I need to make foam inserts that fit my camera body and assortment of small vintage prime lenses or 3D print specialized trays for the camera gear. I love the space, but properly utilizing it is going to take a bit of work.
@@tuckerfarce Yeah my hope would be that they would offer more dividers separately or I could find something similar to the peak design dividers that could be sized to the bag. But I'm actually not too worried about the depth. It would be nice to be able to story fully rigged camera inside.
Too big for DAILY use I'd say, perfect for something like rampage! As far as flying airlines, no one wants to separate from their gear like that ontop of how its handled 😞. I think carry on size depends on the plane size as well.
So in a nut shell, this backpack is not for human sized people 😂. I still love my Lowpro even though it does have a few design flaws but nothing has come close to dethroning it. Backpack designers: 1) give us zipper openings on the side that work in more than one orientation. 2) have dual zippers so things can be accessed easier. 3) waist strap that is removable! 4) a 5" kwad should be able to fit inside with gear 5) well thought out pouches throughout the bad 6) I should be able to strap 4 kwads on the outside if needed
The compartments inside seems very modular... I'd go with Lipos at the bottom, goggles/remote over that, and quads flat at the top (with a bigger compartment). Maybe I can fit food clothes for a few days and a sleeping bag.
You might be able to remove the sternum strap via a split in the center rail, this is common on hiking bags. Would definitely be an oversight to not have this. The side straps are definitely compression straps, I use mine on my hiking bags to hold tripods by just hanging one leg over the top and using the bottom to capture all three legs.
LOL, seems perfect for the guy who reportedly used to show up at the spot with a whole stack of bins :) Just put the big quad in flat with the bottom facing up.
Side straps are great for your smaller quads. I always put my toothpick on a single side strap when I run out of space on the outside of my think tank backpack PS backlit scenes aren't the greatest for a pure black backpack
Totally agree. My LoPro gave me no trouble when I went to the 2019 MGP Sportman Class event and I was able to bring it on the plane with no issues. If Pyro made a smaller bag, then I'd be interested in one.
I have the Thinktank Helipak Airport and I can fit 3x 5" quads with props in it. This seems to be perfect but the padding arrangement seems to be hard to rearrange that I can fit 5" quads with props

You missed all of the holders on the dividers in the pyro bag that you loved so much in the others. The straps on the side are great for chairs like the Pyro chair and small folding tables.
