Gensler has been screwing the metals market up for a lot of years. His daughter is/was the #2 involved with SBF, and nothing happened to her for her roll in the crypto theft.
I believe he worked with her dad previously. Not his daughter.
SBF attended MIT, where Gensler was a professor teaching crypto courses, and Garys boss at MIT was the dad of Caroline Elison, SBFs girlfriend and partner in crime at FTX and Alameda Research. Gary met with SBF many times leading up to the collapse of FTX, taking no action against FTX, meanwhile suing Ripple for selling crypto asset securities, and in that case the judge ruled that XRP in and of itself is not a security. Good work Gary.

These are actually minor examples of their activities. They do most of their enforcement actions through FINRA, which at one time was running its own OTC market bulletin board that attempted to compete with OTC Markets and eventually lost the competition. But, they charged fees through that. FINRA only has power from the SEC, so this is all a big mess.
Genlser is one of the main reasons hedge-fund managers can act how they want without penalties or severe fines. He has personally amassed serious wealth in the financial sector and are on a powertrip to help out all his friends and tries to jackhammers the "retail investor" to the ground in the process. If Wallstreet were regulated and controlled as it should be. All these halts instigated by PPT - Plunge Protection Team, would be in a balance, and not just in the favour for the institutions as of now. The corruption is as clear as day.
