Actually they are now WAWV, and is now ABC's Terre Haute, Indiana Affiliate once again, and is a sister station to WTWO which is NBC's Terre Haute, Indiana Affiliate. They signed on in 1973 as WIIL-TV and then changed its call letters to WBAK-TV in 1979 and switched to Fox in 1995 and later changed its call letters to WFXW in 2005. The station remained with Fox until 2011, when its Fox Affiliation was stripped and ABC returned to Terre Haute, as its call letters were changed to the present WAWV. And this original WBAK-TV 38 Terre Haute Sign-off, originally follows its weather report.

WBAK-TV now WFXW now WAWV back at ABC.
Wow, they actually had human beings doing the NOAA Weather Radio forecasts back then?
Diamond Joe They sure did before they cut costs by providing automated voices
And all the towns were pronounced correctly!
They still have the equipment to do both live and prerecorded segments the only difference is they use .mp3 files instead of magnetic tape cartridges.
Here's the forecast on television, they listen to the weather report on the radio following the sign-off in 1989
How did they do a radio voice on television? This has got to be the Plan 9 of Station Sign Offs!
I always find weather radio relays to be boring.
Such a shoe-string budget.
