Interesting listening to you and Chris's outlook for the up coming season. There's so much intrigue with the new coaching staff. I agree that how the O line performs will really determine how successful the offense will be. Can Scott Huff get that unit playing at a decent level consistently? If he can then it will be really interesting to see how this offense can step up with the talent available in the skill positions. The defence can only improve after last season's performance. Think it make take a while for the new scheme to bed in but once it does should be great to finally have a defence to get excited watching again! I love seeing a defence batter the opposition💪

Always ready and willing to listen to fellow Hawkz fans! Best thing about a complete coaching/philosophy change is that, until we see actual game action, we (ok, me...) can dream as big as we want! Super Bowl contenders? Of course! Dynasty builders? Of course! Having said that, I'm loving the info/signals coming through so far; everything seems to be trending positive.

I find it Highly Suspicious that NFL fans will discuss play-calling _only when_ it's expected to be good for their team, never at any other time. But does anyone remember how Matt Canada was chanted out of town? Maybe You Fans _should_ talk about it when the play-calling sucks? Because maybe things could have gotten better quicker?
Not really. But it's something to keep in mind in the future. The great passing game followed Canales to Tampa. Waldron somehow got less production with the additions of JSN, Jake Bobo & a great receiving RB Charbonnet added to this roster.
The D was still a worse disaster. With that said & out of the way, wanna laugh at the Bears? Now Waldron has a weaker RB & WR corps. Added to this, Matt Eberflus not only boasted about meddling in the offense, he proved this when the Bears went on two streaks of increased offense. The 2nd was in '23 after they acquired a new DC & Eberflus was busy acclimating him.
The first was more interesting. Lie I said, he boasted about his own meddling. As a result, when Fields stopped himself throwing to wide-open receivers for the first times in such an unnatural way & the Bears _didn't_ think he was concussed, this showed they knew he was executing plays As Called: meaning they Called For Fields to not throw to Open Receivers!
After weeks of Eberflus acting like a total idiot trying to shut up reporters' questions about this with an angry-dad chop-wave of his arm, Fields called out "his coaches" (diplomatically naming no one specific) after week 7. Eberflus panicked.
So weeks 8-10 he allowed Getsy to operate with less or possibly _no_ interference from Eberflus & what do you know, Fields led the pre-D.J. Moore _Bears_ to being the #1 offense in the NFL 3 weeks straight. Eberflus cancelled those effective plays after each streak.
So their two play-callers are a guy known to do less with more, & a guy who did less than half as well _with_ D.J. Moore than a competent play-caller did without him. Hee-hee, I can't wait.

Wouldn't surprise me if he's stuck at nine sacks. And still has a great year. If jones is really playing DE and Nwossu is back and ready to go I could see a killer defensive front but everyone having low looking Stat numbers.

Ryan, you can say "Obviously" less. I realize you are probably nervous. Just take the 1 sec rule think about what you're going to say before you say it. You are smart enough and we believe in you're football IQ.
