My dad, who had awesome common sense, told me Never buy anything, based on the future ( new job =!more money, the ability to refi…etc) More than likely for some reason you won’t get more money or can’t refi, then you are stuck stressing and eating beans/rice for the unforeseen future!!!

They are concerned about reselling mortgages in the secondary market. Not sure if people know there were incredible losses in the mortgage industry when rates started going up in 2021. Massive layoffs, brokerages going under or all out acquisitions.

U.S stocks have historically been the best investment imho. Home prices will need to fall at least 40% before the market normalizes.
I like both, but most of the millionaires I know gained wealth through diversified investments and they all had a sort of expert guidance

This isn't normal. When the Fed rate goes down, mortgage rates usually follow.
Not necessarily. If the pool of new mortgages are from risky people then rates will rise.
A bank bailout is what it is. "Here's some cheap money, go raise your rates and lend it out!"
