This is great thank you so much! Sent me in the perfect direction to figure out my issue! I found if you have a workflow going and you just need this as a PNG sequence that you can use in Premiere Pro where you need it to just be a blank background you can use Silhouette Alpha so you can reuse it if you need to without having to make a whole other comp. Hopefully this makes sense lol

Doesn't work on 3d layers- also you can't use it for a transition from white to show this. Thanks for the tutorial though....

Actually in Stranger Things titles start with a solid fill, then their opacity decrease and show the video through the texts. Can you help me with the solid fill disappearing? Thanks in advance

I know this comment was for years ago but yes. Use Silhouette Alpha instead and it'll give you a clean background so you render it out as a PNG Sequence then you can reuse it for whatever. Hopefully this makes sense lol

yep, it would basically be the same thing (making the logo layer's blend mode stencil luma)
