Second half of “my space” is the type of feel I was hoping for the entire album that’s where RG shines! That and melatonin
I was waiting a RAP album, but this is just ART
That’s why I like it

This pushed CHH forward so many years.
Facts!
Honestly didn’t know what to think after the first listen. But after a few more listens the album goes crazy
Really like to hear WHATUPRG experiment with different sounds
Album is a Solid 9/10 IMO
Favorite tracks are Human, Melatonin, My Space with Phew's verse had fun moments and Sober with Parris and Bean's inclusion
🙌🏾🙌🏾
the other artist on SOBER is BEAM, he has songs with Andy Mineo, Social Club, and Justin Bieber.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
❤❤❤❤❤
excellent job my friend!
U spazzed on melatonin 🔥
Bro, the album is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
The whole album gives me Travis Scott music + Swae Lee voice vibe. New fav album for sure 🎉
Amen!
Noticed most of the negative takes on this album are (imo) based on peoples opinion on what a ‘rap’ album should sound like. Though quite a few of the songs are “airy” or “transitionary”, the project as a whole is incredibly bold, ambitious and does not disappoint. I’ll admit it took me about three listens to actually appreciate the route RG took with this. The first listen I approached it wanting the best CHH album of 2022, every listen afterwards (listened to the album at least 9-10 times now) has only grown my appreciation for it as a genuine love letter to God and Christians. Solid 9/10 for me.
I agree
Heard Human and Melatonin at Siervosfest and both songs go HARD live 🔥🔥🔥
I'm jealous!
Every track I liked I REALLY liked. RG is in his bag when he's rapping rapping. A bit too hyped and experimental for me though as I only enjoyed about half the songs. I can definitely see the growth from his past album for sure
I have the same feeling. As a whole concept it’s a great album. But only half the songs really resonated. Also sad that my favorite song is Kids. I’m always let down when the single I’ve listened to for 6 months is the best song. It makes me wish they didn’t send it. Would have made the opening more powerful
Estuvo perfecto
This is the first RG project I've ever listened to, and I'm glad I've had the opportunity! Not all the songs impressed me in the same way, but sonically it's a very bold statement, for sure.
I think another Kanye album that comes to mind in this case is My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (especially songs like Runaway and Power). I kind of hear Juice WRLD influences, too, with songs like "Melatonin" and "My Space".
Appreciate your take!
This is such a good video!!! KEEP IT UP!!!
Thank you 😇
@@MitchDarrell Thank you for creating the video. It was great! I love your vibe as well. Your one of, if not the best upcoming UA-camrs. I am am just glad to be apart of this growing channel! NOTHING BUT GOOD VIBES:)
Being a fan of RG for 2 years now and waiting for this to drop IM not disappointed I love the vibe while I was expecting a rap album, It is a VIBE that I like I like airy production songs with smooth hard hitting lyrics(Im a fan of The Weeknd so thats why) and thats why this is solid 8 or 9 out of 10 for me. Also its A CHRISTIAN album not a hip-hop.
🔥🔥🔥
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
FINALLY!!!
🙌🏾🙌🏾
19:53 i hear more of an 808's & Heartbreak or Donda type experimental.
I feel it
Human is crazy good
HUMAN IS MY FAVORITE
Bro this project was special! Andno way you said you in Raleigh bro I am in Charlotte! We gotta link one of these days!
Ayeee! I grew up in Charlotte!
@@MitchDarrell Look at that bro thats dope! Just moved to Charlotte from SouthFlorida 4 months ago and we are loving it man! Definitely gotta link one of these days or maybe do a collab!
Up until recently I was pronouncing the Pariss Chariz as Paris Chair Is
Great album

@@MitchDarrell bet
Yo bro, hit me up. I want the link to your wavy playlist. Although this wasn’t a big hit for me, I wanna see what you got on it that I’d rock with.
Hey Mitch man I love your vids but I really really need this shirt you got on in this vid and can’t find it someone help me find that shirt
The company who made them isn’t in business anymore :(
it was a good a album but I do got some problems with it ilke the pacing at the beginning of album that's where all the best tracks are pretty much but then after melatonin it just takes a while to get the pace back and you get the pace back around Hollywood and that's one of the last tracks on the album because they're all more slower songs after that because before that there's way more hyped and actual hip Hop and then after that are just more pop for the rest of the album which isn't bad it's just kind of weird pacing which I get it supposed be just a Christian album not just a manly hip Hop so it makes sense to have different sounds in there Rock reggaeton pop hip hop but I do like the new style and sounding which I haven't really heard anything like this but if you do like more hip Hop stuff you will like social club new album for example better cuz it's a more hip-hop album and this is just more experimental but I do think some tracks could have been cut be replaced with beautiful God made a Way and no pare and watch The sound way better in their actually snippet which was not even finished but it sound like God made a way was finished and even more confused about that one because reach records actually post a about that one what was it even that long ago so what happened to that one and the actual running song cuz I did not like the running songs we got on the album but I do think this is a very good stepping stone for rg for his first actual album
I appreciate your take! Thanks for commenting!
The floaty vibe throughout this album wasn't was I expected, and not my favorite. But definitely shows that RG is an artist that will be making dope stuff for a long time.
My initial score is a 7 out of 10
Not mad at it
@@MitchDarrell might change it when my official review drops
This is album is dope but I wouldn't put it in my top chh albums because he's singing half the time. It belongs in it's own category.
Singing is still a part of Hip-Hop
@@MitchDarrell to a certain extent.
@@Acin101 right. So I feel like this still fits in CHH. Same as Hulvey’s music
@@MitchDarrell I can see that. But for me if I had to choose between this album and another good CHH album like CC4 or The End I'm choosing the ladder because I prefer pure hip hop. I applaud WhatupRG for pushing the genre forward but it just isn't my preference when I listen to CHH music.
Man, mad disappointing. He tried way too hard to be Kanye or something. It’s like, you just have to put a fire beat and RAP! There’s no surprise Kidz and Praise are the best songs on the album, dope beat + rapping= Hit💯💯
I disagree
Album was artistic. But a lot of the songs were too airy? If you get what I mean.
Some of the songs were wide artistic pads and arps with Whatuprg ad-libbing complimenting these sounds. But I feel he should of had more straight forward rap songs.
But the mix and sound choices are beautiful one of the best sounding Christian albums I’ve heard so far.
@@quilodinerro i love that though
Disagree. It’s a classic to me.
Good production but disappointing when it sounds worldly like when he’s glorifying drugs and drinking just not honoring God
He wasn’t glorifying those things he was speaking on his past struggles with those things
@@MitchDarrell if you want to promote this music as “godly” then you will be held responsible to God for leading people astray man seriously, compare him to Christian artists like hulvey, zauntee, Bryann Trejo, miles minnic, they actually make kingdom music without being like the world, and when the song about alcohol and drugs, it’s always overcoming power in their testimony, that doesn’t grieve the spirit of God
@@logannestman hush
@@MitchDarrell well it’s all love man I just want to hear more Godly Music in chh that’s all
@@logannestman I’ve explained already that he is speaking about how those things effected him in his past. I don’t understand why you aren’t seeing this.
New album is trash
Nah
Just to let you know that’s Caleb Cruise singing the hook on 285
Not Raul
