    Best pilot view of slow flight in a 701 I have seen. Great job.

    I Like how simple the engine monitor is. And redundancy don't hurt nobody. Very nice.

      Thank you
      I agree, no need for a complex engine monitor.

    I like the one on one style of this video. Not overproduced and full of info

    Excellent video as I have never really seen this aspect for slow flight . You are a very talented salesperson for the CH701 not to mention your engine works. Thank you very much and look forward to more of your videos.

      Not sure that's a CH701. Looks like a copy: www.zenithair.com/stolch701/7-photo-copies.html

      @@stolflyer It looks like a Zenair CH701 with some minor mods for me.

    The aircraft is a Zenith derivative known as the SP-30 available now as a kit. Russia production, used for crop dusting. See Dan Johnson interview here for details -- ua-cam.com/video/1Ke7Ch8TPWA/v-deo.html

    Will you have this plane at the Zenith Open House? Would really be interested in seeing it in person, As I am starting my 701 at that rudder workshop.

      Johnathan Muncy we will actually have our super Duty there. However, over the next month or so we will be showcasing the 90 Hp more and more it’s a great fit for the 701 airframe. Feel free to email us if you need more information.

    yon....i have a 701 and am searching for a new engine. no doubt the viking 130 is more than enough engine but not sure about the 90. looks like it took about 8 seconds to rotate. what is your best guess the distance was?

    • @eggenfellner
      @eggenfellner  2 роки тому +1

      Not sure about the distance but several 701 aircraft are flying good with the 90 engine

    • @eggenfellner
      @eggenfellner  2 роки тому +1

      Something not quite right about the 8 seconds? Maybe because the nose is up immediately you are not able to tell but the airplane is airborne right away. Don’t judge the old altimeter for 20 feet :)

    4950 rpm and 78 mph... What??? Propeller too light.

      It is a 701, you aren't going to get speed out of it :)

    Why does these aircraft never have a cowl?

    • @eggenfellner
      @eggenfellner  5 років тому +1

      Farmer only when we are testing and changing and optimizing, we fly with the cowl all the time as well, we do full FWF components here

    Wonder what this engine would make with a turbo.

    • @eggenfellner
      @eggenfellner  5 років тому +3

      It has incredible compression. I think we will stay away from that :)

    • @chadhammond3735
      @chadhammond3735 5 років тому +1

      @@eggenfellner didn't know what the compression was. Might be able to put some I beam rods in it that are a little shorter. Lower the compression and have stronger engine for more boost. Probably more trouble than it's worth though.
