if MMC called, when the part unable to machine exactly at MMC. The difference of MMC and actual produced size is the bonus value. This bonus value we can add with geometrical tolerance, so we will get more geometrical tolerance to machine the external feature or internal features.
FYI, if you watch the MMC or LMC video you can understand the bonus tolerance how it is practically used.
