Very nice RR Stockman! I have a pair of the newer ones in smooth bone that are fantastic! RR can be hit and miss but 15 bucks for a knife and most of them are good. It's hard to go wrong.
I’m impressed with some of these older RR’s. I’ve come to like those California clip blades, reminds me of the old 800 series of shrade Walden knives from the 50s and 60s. Has anyone ever showed one of the rough riders from Ireland? I’ve seen them on eBay, they look like the imperials from Ireland, prob made by them too. I think there was only a few patterns before they moved production to china.
I've heard of the Ireland Rough Riders, but I've not given them any attention. Seemed rather pedestrian if I recall. I too like California clip if executed well. Thanks, Joel.
I was cleaning barbecue sauce off of my Rough Ryder Sowbelly stockman And the back spring broke and flew out and hit me in the face. Of course SMKW were cool about it And replaced it no problem. I wonder If this is just a one off. I love that knife of yours but it makes me hesitant to get another one.
It’s odd and pretty rare but it happens. I bought a Schatt &Morgan large coke bottle 20 years ago made by Queen , spring broke sitting in drawer never used it once. Sent it back to Russell who sent it to Queen and fixed it free
Yes that's pretty rare. I had it happen with an older knife where I opened both blades at the same time, probably something to be avoided unless you're displaying it or in my case taking photos. Thanks, SixGun.
The pearl handles look nice without a shield. Thanks for showing it off. 👍
Pure and clean simplicity. Nice to see a knife like that. Thanks, RG
There's definitely something special about the older RR's, love the MOP handles, great review John
Thanks, Slippy. It's a classy piece ready for a high class function with King Charles.
Great piece John gotta love them older Rough Ryders……. They are so much better than the newer ones thsnks buddy for showing it stay well 😊
They don't makem like they used to, Pete. This one is 21 years old already. Old enough to drink.
It's hard to beat a knife with nice pearl handles. Great addition John
Thanks Randy. It's a purdy one.
Hard to beat older Rough Riders. I bought my first Rough Rider in 2014.
They are well done and still affordable. Thanks, Eric.
Gorgeous knife. Looks like you are going to be over 6000 subscribers soon. Have a wonderful evening
Getting close, thanks for noticing, Jason.
Very nice looking knife, buddy! Have a great Saturday!
Thanks very much David, A clean classic looking knife. Have a great weekend.
Handsome little knife RR were putting some good quality knives out back then, but over the years I have been buying them I have not had a bad one.
They do a decent job, and as I've said with RR if you do get a bad one they are guaranteed so send it back for an exchange. Thanks, Lewis
That's a really cool piece. I recently bought a RR sleeveboard whittler with the same pearl handles and blade markings and i love it!
Very cool! Glad you like it.
Really nice knife.
Thanks very much Try N.
That’s a good looking Stockman TK 👍
I think so as well. Pure class MOP.
That's a Sunday going to meeting knife if I ever saw one . Nice .
Great review
Yessir, pretty classy stuff. Thanks MB.

That's right. Even when they aren't great, they're better than other 15 dollars knives you might buy.
Elegant knife. 😊
Smooth pearl. So nice. Thanks, RC.
Congratulations on 6k you are the man
Not there quite yet
Thanks though.
Thats almost a classic.
Great review ✌️
Getting up in years. Thanks MKC.
@@ThriftyKaniffy Dave is fine. Are you known as thrifty?
Sweet! No shield is a plus on this one.
Makes for great gentleman's carry.
