Time to venture home after 5 wonderful days in LA. Heading back to the UK, I got to fly on the first BA A350 at LAX. This was an additional flight put in for the Summer schedule, in addition to the other 777 flights. Unfortunately for BA this flight was hardly full, plenty of empty seats about unfortunately, and some passengers moved around for the aircraft trim.
The flight was somewhat decent, the legroom on the A350-1000 is debatable, but definitely not the worst I've seen. BA's long haul catering is left to be desired as well, not the most exciting of meals served, thankfully the crew were lovely. The aircraft was pretty smooth though, I managed to get 3 hours sleep, it was comfortable enough to do so, and helped that I had the entire row to myself!
The weather was pretty much perfect till we arrived at London, where on final approach we was surrounded by low cloud and fog, unfortunately. However this made for some stunning wing condensation moments from touchdown.
Overall a fairly smooth flight. I hope you enjoy the video, and if you do feel free to drop a like and comment down below, and subscribe if you're new

Liked the flight deck announcement just before departure, so professional and British. The 350 looks amazing and the BA service seemed pretty good.
Singer George Michael 🎤 took this route
Why would we want to know that ?
I rode a a350 from Orlando to Heathrow the other day it was such a great flight!
Very nice footage Casey ! That takeoff was very smooth !
full flight? 50 mins? CLICK BAIT
Awesome Love the A350
Taking this in May to see United v West Ham thank you for this video much appreciated
One beautiful aircraft😍 Nice filming😊
Always loved flying BA. Best airline I’ve flown on in my life (which isn’t saying much considering my other options have been Air Canada, WestJet, Air Transat, EasyJet and RyanAir).
But still, love, love, LOVE, British Airways
How was the landing on Ryanair because People on the internet is always joking about their landings and I have to fly it in a month.
I thought this was gonna be a msfs 2020 at first from the thumbnail 😂
Love those sharklets. I'll be going Los Angeles in September on A350 1000 but on Virgin
Due to take my first flight out of LHR to JFK in October 2022 on the Airbus A350 1000, really excited and looking forward to getting up in the air with those Trent XWB 97 turbofans
Great. Which airline is that with?
@@peteconrad2077
Virgin Atlantic
@@jontownsend8090 cool
Love the cabin sound, it sounded like fun!
Excellent video! Thanks!
In my opinion the best looking aircraft since 757
Lovely flight……thank you!
Nice video. The food looked a lot better than the food they gave me a couple of weeks back.
Great flight video Casey.
Jus5 awesome viewing great flight and information
787-900 787-1000(10) and 350-900 350-1000 it’s like a choice between BMW and Mercedes( it’s better to have both of them in your garage) same goes to the 787 and 350 must catch a flight on both of them!
Yeah maybe but in Boeing's type hystory it is a 787-9 & -10. They changed it when the new 747-8i showed up. Even the new 777X is a -8 & a -9. At Airbus it's the A 330-800neo ( former A 330-200 ) and A 330-900neo ( former A 330-300 ) and like you mentioned the A 350-900 & A 350-1000.
Great video content. I don’t understand the term “full flight” as you use it though.
Welcome to the very first 2 engine widebody from Hamburg/Toulouse for British Airways. It took a while but it's never to late.....
Just wonderful x
Brilliant
I’m due to fly this in a few weeks. Thanks for sharing.
Good stuff.....quite a lot of wasted time before/on pushback and a little context would have been nice, i.e now over Greenland etc.
Nice👍
As well as seeing BA 777 in back did that AA 777 bound for Heathrow depart after or before BA282
Qatar Airways planes at LAX 🤔 ? This means there are flights from Doha to Los Angeles 😳. Must be very long !
ttttttt🎞
Yh from LAX to Doha Airport it’s an 15 hours and 40 minute flight. ✈️✈️✈️
that's not even there longest flight
Yeaaa that’s the plane I’m taking to London next month
But from San Diego
Quiet take off. Hardly any engine noise. Is that normal for a 350?
Very cool Casey. Have been plane spotting mostly on UA-cam recently thanks to you (and Kevin at LAX). Camera work very nice, no glare, etc. And the big 350-1000 is very sharp.
Imagine leaving sunny southern California to fly to a dreary place like London. That's gotta be depressing 😭
Hardly. London is the most vibrant city on earth. California only has weather.
London is an amazing city - more culture in one block than California has in its entire state.
I went to London from Chicago my first time last year and yes it is an incredible city!
they both are good places
Imagine living in a country with an out of control gun crime ..
Flying to London from Los Angeles on the Airbus A380. I’m seated on the left
side window seat…will I be able to see Greenland?
If its a night flight, probably not
@@CPlanespotting you were right. LA to London was a red eye and I didn’t get to see anything. However, London back to LA was a morning flight and we flew over the glacial tip of Greenland. It was a STUNNING VIEW.
Better climb rate than the A380
smaller lighter plane
What seat were you sitting in please? Trying to decide where to sit x
How do you get "full flight" in 50:48?? Need a dictionary?
5:59 lmao that airport car is fs speedbirdhd 😭😭
Do they only serve one meal?
no its 3 meals snack dinner and lunch
1:03 Sitting side to side with Qatar's A350-1000
Pretty empty I hope I have luck, too.
Usual aircraft is the 777. Why the change?
The 350 is better suited to the route and the 777 has serious issues where there 5G near the airport.
Return back to London UK.
Dreadful food for a flight of that length.
I was watching the video and that was my concern that’s a baby portion food they serving it’s pathetic
Economy is all the same on any airline minimum amount to save money, you get what you pay for. only Emirates has the best economy catering. BA AA UA DL all comes from LGS or Gate Gourmet the same small skimpy portions unlike it was 20 year's ago when airlines prided themselves on the food served
I see that B/A has the usual rubbish food. Thank Buddha you didn't travel in a higher class as the food wouldn't have be much better there either. Seems people like B/A as you can see by the many empty seats. RIP B/A.
Says a man who’s never travelled in a higher class.
@@peteconrad2077 If your referring to my above post. Please let me inform you for long flights I always travel Business. Did that once (And Only Once with BA) LHR BKK. They ran out of food and I was given a dried up pasta dish that was inedible. And I mean INEDIBLE. Service it was take it or leave it. I sent an email to BA didn't even get a reply not even a sorry. I will never fly with BA again unless they give me a free flight. Even then I might go with another airline and pay.
@@fredob43 I very much doubt that. It’s unheard of ti simply run out. They may not have your first choice. But if you want to make a big deal of it Karen, go ahead.
@@peteconrad2077 There are many vlogs of planes running out of food and you only getting what they have left. I was one of the unlucky ones on my trip. Suggest you look them up then maybe you won't accuse me of not telling it like it was. EG there was one the other week. Where they had offered two main meals on the menu. One of them wasn't even loaded. So the lady had to have a veg: meal.
@@fredob43 not sure if you’re new to English, but getting food means they haven’t run out. If they have some left to give you, by definition they haven’t run out. They just don’t have what you wanted.
their service is horrible even in business class they are not something special!
Says someone who’s never flown on it.
I’m flying from Phoenix,Az to London soon. Is this the same Plane?
who the fuck would want tgo watchg it let alone copy it.
