Happy year of the Rabbit 🐇 to everybody. 🥂 I’ve had my 83gti for about 10!years & this winter we finally put a 1.8t 20v in it. Can’t wait to drive it this spring.
Move the car with the axle nuts loose and it will ruin the wheel bearings. Does the clutch noise disappear when you push the clutch? Reverse is weak and might have been destroyed by a VR6. Strut bearings are toast. It's already a cabby dash so a cabby cluster would fit nice.
The noise doesn’t go away no matter if the clutch is in or out. It definitely is rotational because the noise does get faster as the rpms increase. The clutch seems to never fully disengage as it is difficult to get the car in gear. Adjusting the clutch cable does fix this temporarily but the issues comes back quickly. I have a full poly bushing kit to be installed for arms struts ect. I also plan on redoing all of the wheel bearings when I upgrade the brakes
@@Leakyvws When I watched that video I thought it was alternator noise. It does sound kind of rattly. Might be a 6 puck sprung clutch in there or something.
There is a video on my channel of driving the car over 800 miles straight when I first got it. I have not made a new driving video since it has been rebuilt. I’d like to get a nice mic setup and a 360 camera to make a video that does the car the justice it deserves
Oh my god........ I prefer this over the Mk5 to watch. Keep it coming dude.

Can’t wait to see the progress.
Wrap it so you can hit staties with it and then just tear it off 👍

@@vwfatmobile3275 I have a new alternator still in the box so I could replace it and see if it goes away
Don't sell it until you want to retire😊
Did you make a drive video?
