Since nobody has done a voice comparison video of Woody Woodpecker, I decided to do one out of him, and yes they will be some flaws that you guys might notice that I didn't notice the first time making this, but I hope you all enjoy!
Read this from Mel Blanc's autobiography: while he was in high school, he stood at the end of the hallway and made that crazy laugh which echoed throughout. Eventually it became Woody Woodpecker's famous laugh.

@Joshua SHOW'S It's Eric Bauza Joshua
I actually like the Mel Blanc and Billy West versions..
Wow, that was an extremely thorough compilation! Nice work! I was expecting Mel Blanc's version to sound more alien, since he only voiced the first three shorts. What I didn't realize is that even though he became contractually obligated to provide voices exclusively for Warner Bros characters after those, they continued to use his amazing Woody laugh like a sound effect up through 1951, shortly after Gracie Lantz (Grace Stafford) took over the role.
I would probably like Blanc's version the best, but it is a little jarring to have Woody sound like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, or Porky Pig in places. Indeed, the voice, and even the laugh, is very much like a pitched-up version of the voice Blanc did for Bugs Bunny's predecessor Happy Rabbit. Given how long Gracie did the part, it makes sense that that version sounds the most authentically Woody-like, at least apart from the laugh.
Mel Blanc sounds amazing

0:38 Woody Woodpecker Lee Sweetland Laugh
Fun Fact: Grace Stafford voiced Woody Woodpecker from the years of 1950-1992 and next year it will mark 30 years since she last voiced Woody Woodpecker for fun and she was the 2nd wife of the creator Walter Lantz and I think she the first female voice actress to do the voice of Woody Woodpecker in cartoon history and I'm not 100% sure about this one though
Thanks for uploading! 😃😃
Cherry davis sounds like nancy cartwright voicing bart simpson

Let's be honest: no matter which version of the Woodpecker you love the most, you have to give credit where it's due to Mel Blanc for bringing the character to life, and for definitely being in the Top Three for voice quality.
RIP Mel Blanc. You are the one who created the childhoods of many.

It's really difficult to parse differences between the various actors' performances, since most (if not all) of them were subjected to the same post-production processing. Beginning with Mel Blanc's characterization, actors usually delivered Woody's lines in a more "normal" voice at a slightly slower cadence, and the recording was sped up during production mixing to give it that characteristic high-pitched, rapid-fire delivery. In US animation, the soundtrack was typically put together first, and the animation was timed or synchronized to it afterwards. It was a complex and intensive labor of love. I do think Seth Green's performance, the traditional Woody laugh in minor tones, was very well done, and it would be interesting to know whether he produced that voice on his own (which is really rough on the pipes, believe you me) or what sort of post-recording processing was done to make his performance fit the character. Lee Sweetland was a trained musical theater performer, and it definitely shows in his performance. Grace Stafford is probably the most familiar version of Woody's voice to me, because of the era I grew up in. And of course, Mel Blanc gets great deal of credit for originating the role, and not having any predecessor to base his characterization off of.
Plz don’t watch Robot Chicken it’s bad with the deaths away like the stop-motion Sonic game with the spikes

According to Keith Scott Kent Rogers voiced Woody in “The Hollywood Matador” not Danny Webb also according to Scott Dick Nelson voiced Woody in “Ration Bored”
Yeah I recently found out about it, plus Mel did a few lines in Pantry Panic, keep in mind this was made awhile back so there's definitely gonna be some things pretty outdated lmao
@@azuraring yes I know that this was made back in 2019 and Mel had recorded dialogue for Woody in “Pantry Panic”
Me
Could never get into the later shit, they not like this at all, Mel Blanc and Ben Hardaway done Woody's voice best, and this psychopath demented personality stuck with him best, that made him edgy and his design looks thick and tubby through the 40s, he remind me of Ren from Ren & Stimpy, later on his appearance looks bland, smaller and skinnier and just acts more feminine and like a normal person, seems more safer.
