What do you use for the lightchromframe polish? Thank you and greetings from germany
Shout out to the owner, who knew how to preserve a car the proper way!🤩💪
Great video guys!👍👍👍
That’s a beautiful color. Goes from black, to blue to almost a hint of green. But I have to admit that my favorite part of these is the interior clean up. Love seeing the cockpit come to life.
Movies this Camaro has been in : Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982), Pulp Fiction (short scene, a crash). Transformers also had that old 1977 Camaro.
Good call!
And stranger things. Billy’s camaro
@@nickdavis8905 Oh, right! I forgot about that one.
I’m a gen 1 lover. Better off dead was the movie
Brent, Mike & R.J.: Give this Camero a thorough clean, it never saw coming. Keep up the good work.
This gen Camaro has a soft spot in my heart. I used to walk to Ford Jr High, in Brook Park in 1979 with my best friend. A Camaro like this, in maroon paint would pass by and she would wave at us. Never knew who she was. But the car is very memorable. Thanks for bringing Cleveland back to respect.❤
Your polishing of the Camaro was super. Love that blue color.
I have owned 20 new vehicles in my lifetime. Two Corvettes, a factory Starsky & Hutch Torino, but my favorite was a 1980 Z-28 Camaro. Lots of power and in the Midnight blue it was a head turner. Single with a good job. Ah yes, Being young with a new Camaro, life was good!
My first car was a 1981 Camaro Berlinetta. I rocked that 90+ HP through high school until I ran it into a ditch. It was a great car that I absolutely loved.
I had a 78 Z-28, black with gold decals & T-tops. One of my favs! Keep up the good work guys!
Out of years of being a truck and as of later years a car mechanic I would strongly suggest you try nut Buster also sold in some areas as lefty loosey. It will blow your mind how fast and how well it works. I know WD-40 seems to be the go too but trust me, once you try nut Buster you’ll never look back.
Note: it’s made/sold by Wynn’s here in Canada but also available in the States
Second Generation Camaro The 70’s has always been my favorite 😍 ❤️❤️
Good ol honkey tonk music on this one lol. Cheers WD….another solid video to the archives
The way you tell stories is on another level. Keep slaying it!
Bot.
If you ever give the option for channel membership, I would pay for videos with no "critter" scenes. 😁
I vote for no critters as well.
Once again, WD Detailing is doing an incredible job bringing these classic barn finds back to life. The work you guys put in is always outstanding! I can only imagine how much your channel will grow in the coming years. Big shoutout to RJ, Brent, and Mike for consistently delivering top-notch content-keep it up!
Totally my favorite genration of camaros!
THIS is my favorite generation Camaro!! Beautiful, even before the detail.
omg it must have been a shock to see it on your neighbour garage lol, i prefer the 3rd gen but i really, really love the front bumper on this one. it looks so aggressive, it's just perfect to look at it. amazing job as always and i don't know if i'm going to be correct but if you have a badge (or cheap jewerly) with just copper, with mold mixed with oxigen will create a green "stuff" on top (i know this since i put a cheap pendant in the shower and after leaving it outside it still have that same stuff on top). it was cute of you to gift the camaro, and good job to the owner for at least know how to storage a car.
That guy hit the nail on the head, 70 split bumper Camaro is my favorite year 👍🏾
I've had several gen 3 Firebirds...(Later 80s & 90s) Like the room, handling, great for road trips.
Love the TPI
Thank you for the consistent Saturday uploads, lads. I always look forward to watching them every Saturday!
That is the correct and only way to open the hood, we have a 79, 80 and 81 and they all open the same way and the 78-81 were all near identical cars with minimal differences
Didn't they have a release coming through the grille one year?
@@mexicanspec no maybe the 74-76 but not 78-81
2nd gen is my favorite and this car is beautiful !!! GREAT JOB !!!! And I loved the IROC !!
Your channel is a real example of how to make quality videos. Thank you for your hard work and effort!🐴🐛🌠
Bot.
The 2nd gen model, 70 1/2 year was my favorite Camaro. That split front bumper looks so good.
Fast Times at Ridgemont High 78 Z/28!! Hell Yeah Merica!!🇺🇸💪🇺🇸
The 1977 Camaro was the last of the early second-generation models and marked the first time it outsold the Mustang. It offered engines from a fuel-efficient inline-six to a powerful 350-cubic-inch V8. The Z28 performance model returned with 185 horsepower, and while the car became a pop culture icon, it lacked a convertible option, which had been discontinued after 1969.
Look you guys did an amazing job as always; great to watch; some garage finds though, are OK to remain lost
I mean you know it's going back on the lifts in the garage
Great job guys. Always loved the late 70s camaros
Wow! You guys know how to make cars clean. Great colour on this camaro.
Lovin those classic keystones man.
Had those on a 71 monte Carlo lol
Keystone Classic’s! 👍 First Generation, 1969!
I agree, the 69 was the best Camero. 😎👌👍
@@davidkucher5.0Coy I’ve had 2 of them both Yenko’s, one new in 1969, the other a few years ago, that I bought and restored, loved them both. I had a 1971 Z-28 quite awhile ago, it was a nice car as well. 👍
Hard to believe that there are so many these great barn finds out there 😮
I am old as dirt so this was my Camaro growing up. Friend bought a multicolored orange Z28. It was so cool.
P
Watching the time lapse cleaning is always fun to watch. It would be interesting to learn how many hours you actually spend on the entire job.
Try PB blaster for the rusty things, it more less dissolves the rust and lubricates.
Beverly Hills Cop II had a 78 Camaro if I remember correctly. Awesome job as always guys!
The 70 1/2 split bumper is my favorite body style
I lowkey LOVE this music!
Great job on the Camaro. And yes the nicest body style. I want to try the Chomps. Thanks guys!
Im so happy when i get the notification that u guys uploaded!!!
My first car was a used '78 Camaro RS. It had the 350, 4 bbl carb. It had horrible horse power. I thought it was only 175. That model of Camaro was in Fast Times At Ridgemont High.
70's split bumper is my favorite Camaro
My 1967 RS/SS 396 V8 and heavy duty 3 speed on the floor in Madeira Maroon with a Black vinyl top and deluxe interior is my favorite Camaro. Wish I still had it.Sadly traded it for a 1970 RS/SS in Camaro Gold
The grill coming out by mistake "I guess" was was funny bad😂
Great job, the Camaro looks like new again ! 👍
Awesome work, guys.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the third gen Camaros, especially the 1985 to `1990 IROC Camaros. IMHO, those were the peak years for both the Camaro styling and performance. I like the hardtop coupes, but the T-top cars and the later convertibles are pretty special too. I wasn't into the base Camaros when I was in high school, but now I see them as great project cars for engine swaps, especially if they get the LS engines and manual transmissions that these cars deserved back when they were new.
BEAUTIFUL!!
I am dying for you guys to do some jaguars... especially an XJS
Chomps original for me. Mike is always right.
My favorite is 71 . Dark Green with black vinyl roof.
Love your videos guy. I have watched since the beginning and you kick my weekend off every Saturday morning . I would like to see more of the cleaning and less of the other stuff, like you use to do. It was great giving Power and Performance the love but that has gotten old now. Only half your video is of actual cleaning.
All of the cars you've guys have done...and this was sitting right under your noses the WHOLE time!😂
Those Gen 2 Camaros look so naked without any spoiler on the back. Just a bad look. It really NEEDS a spoiler. The early 70's looks ok without the spoiler, but the later 70's to 81 looks terrible without it.
I KNEW something was off I just couldn’t put my finger on it 😮
Disagree...a spoiler indeed: SPOILS
I must be in the minority as I like the clean look. The spoiler holds the car back at higher speeds. yes I know it is designed to push the rear end down but these cars never drive fast enough to need that.
I like the color. Like a deep ocean blue.
Gen 1 FTW!
I love the 3rd gens the most but the 2nd is close!
Looks great....but i gotta say the 1st gen Camaros R my faves.......💪✌️
Great job on that 2nd gen detail!! My x milf had one,,,loved that ride .. Hers was a berlinetta
Excellent job again guys, quick question, any way for you guys to get rid of the rust on the rims?
Ver' nice, per usual. Thanks.
Great work as usual guys big fan of your work ..I think mice like it being and under seats cause it provides a concealed Warmth where they migrate to eat and basically stay WARM and hidden ...a abandoned car is paradise for a mouse it provides the necessary shelter to breed
Mid 60's Camaro is by FAR the best IMO.
Can you call 1967 mid '60's?
Love your videos guy's.... Moses from Kenya 🙏
at first i thought it was black, after you guys power wash it..its a dark blue camaro🎉
I have an admitted soft spot for the Gen 2. Just really like the lines, for some reason
My favorite is the 1979 z28 had when I got out of high school
My FAVORITE Camaro has to be the 1968 Rally Sport with 29 options ( but, NO engine option ) that's in my garage right now.
This is my favorite video
Really cool neighbor... definitely my favorite camaro... not because I have the 78 model .lol .... Texas
not a chevy guy but this one needs to be restored
Buen trabajo, bonito video, ❤🖐️👏👌👍🇪🇦
Hi
Even though you’re working on a Camaro, the Firebird was pretty much the same car and on the Rockford files you can see James Garner reach under the bumper to pull the lever to open the hood.
The badges turning green is due to the copper coating used during the plating process oxidising
Do you guys ever thing that taking the entire carpet out of the vehicle is just an easier way to really clean it?
Well said, have always wondered why they don’t
You have to remove a lot of trim pieces to get that done and then there is insulation under the carpet that will become a huge mess and what if they find rust holes in the floor?
Beautiful
Well done❤ best job
Hahaha 😂 you are very funny when eat 😅, great car 😮, i love watching your videos guys 👍. Greetings 😊
Ill push it back in the garage and you can clean it again in 20 years. Came out great but i really hope he gets it running.
Nice Beauty Car,Guys
1st Gen Camaro ! when I was in high school everyone wanted a camaro or a chevelle.
I had a Gen 2, Gen3, And I Have now a Gen6 ZL1
Guy. You do amazing work. I love your channel and you guys. But you need to re-evaluate the music choices lol. The music in this one was so bad I had to mute it and turn on captions lol.
So the reason why the Camaro badge would turn green is because some of them were made out of plastic and some were made out of cheap metal and they would chrome on top of it when the weather would get hot and cold the chrome would not shrink or expand as fast as the material that they were using underneath the chrome which would cause the chrome to corrode instead of rust which is what's a green color is the oxidation basically
Smoky and the bandit
I love you're videos keep up the good work:)
I grew up in the UK where American cars were rare as hen's teeth, I had a part-time job at a gas station when I was in high school and there was a Series 2 Camaro in dark metallic brown that I'd fill with gas for the owner. Totally different to all the other vehicles on UK roads (although being just down the road from the Rolls-Royce factory meant there were quite a few V8's around but this was the only one you could hear before you saw it.
13:21 that’s just how it opens it’s the same through 78-80 Camaro’s
The street nickname for these is “triceratops” for the pointy front end.
gen 2 my favorite like me the 1970 the most
The seventy eight camaro was in the rockford files
Great work as always. How long does it take to clean the car?
Mike is so cute!!!!🥰🥰
Dereck from VGG calls his hammer a Tanya Harding.
YOU GUYS SHOULD OPEN UP AT YOUR SHOP AND BECOME LIKE THE COUNT AT COUNT CUSTOMS IN LAS VEGAS
Dad says Gen 2!! 70-73 Z28’s rule
Didn't the TV show Rockford Files have the Comaro, except in gold color?
