My view point is that if India has done so well and Japan markets have not done so well for last 30 years, the actual return on sip post removing inflationary trends is only 1 %. Which goes to show that however well you do, inflation will eat up your earnings. That has to be controlled to see real earnings.

Your knowledge session data for India is taken from where ?? In last 30 years approx- 1996 till 2024 Nifty has moved from 1000 to 23350 at CAGR of 15% if you add dividends then it gives 16% . I think it is wrong source data.

I think it is wrong source data.
The data is correct. Nifty index was not in existence 30 years ago. Check the returns for Sensex
