Lockdown Due To Phone Threat Lifted At Beech HS

Authorities confirmed Beech High School was briefly placed on lockdown after a threat was received through a phone call. The juvenile who placed the call has been taken into custody. The incident happened Wednesday morning at the school in the 3100 block of Long Hollow Pike in Hendersonville, and law enforcement responded to the scene.

I remember being in 4th grade, we were in the middle of math and here the alarm. We thought it was a fire drill, than we hear BEEP BEEP BEEP LOCKDOWN so we go into the lockdown area in our classroom, the lady in the front office says teachers and students this is not a drill this is a real lockdown. We all get very scared. Our teacher tells us to go under her desk. We were all nervous, my teacher was texting other teachers and told us over 15 police cars at each school. She also told us they were armed. We stayed cramped under her desk for also 2 hours.. once it was over a armed police unlocks the door making sure we were ok... I’ll never forget that day.

I am high scool counselor there and I was scared for my three kids a sophomore a fith grader and a second grader

@@traceslatt he did it bc of an argument with another kid in our class. Then a few years later he told me he did it cause I wouldn't date him.
