Grew up in Ireland, live in the UK now. Both countries are facing similar problems. I'd known all of this was this was coming since 2010 but there seems to be a desperation and an urgency about what they're doing now. Adverts on the TV talked about food items to stock in your shelter and what to do when the sirens went off giving a warning of the atomic bomb falling in us. Then there was the IRA bombings, my husband and brother working as firefighters during that and also the nightly Moss Side riots. We’ve managed to live in peace for a few years, albeit always having one eye on the inevitable threat the Islamists have brought. Never before have I been so worried as I always thought we had good men in Government but not now. I’m sickened that my daughter in law has told me she never wants her 13 year old daughter to give her grandchildren - and this was before the awful killings in Southport. Starmer has no idea what we are going through and never will. God help us all
