Various street scenes around the town - traffic, people, markets, busses etc. Most of the people are Arabs, some in traditional and others in European clothes, although there is a large number of Europeans. Also, many women with covered faces are seen. Several shots of the harbour with several small barges. More long shots of the buildings, palm trees, trams, cars and pedestrians. Town looks very European and Beetle seems to be a very popular car.

They only show you the center of the city where the French lived mainly, they did not show you villages and the abject poverty and lice in which Algerians lived.

Algiers that everyone is seeing in this video is not algeriers of the algerians, but algiers of those who colonised and took the right of the algerians in their homeland freely. Most of these people and buildings are french. Nobody denies how beautiful the city looks, but it costed Algerians a lot of blood and tears to get back the land they belonged to.

JANVIER 1955 le mois et l'année de ma naissance en cette merveilleuse ville que j'adore, elle a été conçue juste pour les colons spoliateurs, pour nous c'est un butin de guerre qui nous sied à merveille même si certains par nostalgie critiquent notre gestion de la cité ce n'est pas grave nous apprenons les bonnes manières et les bons usages avec le temps tout en vous rappelant qu'après le départ de ce mélange douteux de français aux multiples races moins de 10% des Algériens savaient lire et écrire alors qu'en 1831 selon un général français et un anthropologue allemand la totalité de la population Algérienne savait lire, écrire et compter alors qu'en France 52%de la population française était illettrée et 87% des soldats de l'armée coloniale française ne savaient ni lire ni écrire à bon entendeur salut

Les algériens "indigènes" n'avaient pas les mêmes droits que les français colons. C'était un appartheid. Vive l'Algérie et les algériens libre
les Algériens de l'époque avaient la nationalité française mais pas la citoyenneté, car les élites musulmanes de l'époque coloniale en Algérie ne voulaient pas des Lois laïques de la république française, car ces lois étaient aperçus comme contraires à l'Islam, par exemple la loi laïque du Code civil français qui autorise la femme à demander le divorce, les musulmans ne voulaient pas de cette loi, comme pleins d'autres encore, le doit pour la femme de choisir son époux d'une autre confession, l'égalité de l'héritage entre homme et femme... alors qu'avec la loi musulmane, une femme musulmane n'avait pas droit à l'égalité sur l'héritage familial, il était interdit à une femme de demander divorce contre le gré de son époux, il était interdit à une femme musulmane d'épouser un Non-musulman, il était autorisé pour un musulman de frapper sa femme, interdiction pour un musulman de quitter l'Islam.... Et comme les Musulmans d'Algérie étaient majoritaires et la France à ne pouvait pas imposer ses lois sur eux (sinon ils seraient entrés en révoltes), donc la France respectait leurs volontés, et finalement ça n'a jamais pu fonctionner. . Faute de quoi les Algériens avaient la nationalité française mais pas la citoyenneté.
Aujourd'hui en France il y a une sorte de cohabitation, parce que les Musulmans de France sont minoritaires, alors ils acceptent la loi française . Si demain ils seraient majoritaire peut être ils ne les accepteront plus, car l'Islam est en contradiction avec les libertés individuelles du monde occidental .
En Occident les Musulmans bénéficient de pleines libertés, par contre les Non-musulmans sont opprimés dans les pays islamiques par leurs régimes, car la loi islamique n'accepte pas d'égalité entre homme et femme, entre un Musulman et un Non-musulman, entre un Homme libre et un esclave (puisque l'islam n'interdit pas l'esclavage ).
Les Algériens ont subi l'endoctrinement de leur régime corrompu, qui propage la haine contre la France, à l’école, à la mosquée, dans les médias ..., Ils vous racontent que la France était le diable pour ne jamais demander vos droits, en pensant que c'est grâce à eux que vous pouvez aller à l'école, alors que eux ont bénéficie d'une éducation de qualité meilleur, sous la France coloniale ! c'est du lavage aux cerveaux .
Ainsi que la culture islamique qui divise le monde en deux ; d'une part les Musulmans pour qui serait un devoir d'exprimer une solidarité avec eux , d'autre part les Non-musulmans, pour qui serait un devoir de les détester . La colonisation arabo-islamique du 7 siècle avaient colonisé la moitie de la terre, à partir de la péninsule arabique ils étaient de la frontière chinoise jusqu’aux alentours de Poitiers en France, par contre la colonisation française il faut la diaboliser
Aussi la colonisation ottomane en Algérie qu'a duré 315 années (qui n'a rien rapporté de beau aux autochtones qui peut se comparer à la colonisation française), portant les Algériens ne peuvent jamais la critiquer, sinon .. !
Si seulement les Français étaient Musulmans, ou convertis à l'Islam, le régime algérien aurait une autre histoire à raconter aux enfants, dire que c'était l'âge d'or de la civilisation islamique franco-algérienne, et que les écoles était ouvertes aux fin font du Sahara et jusqu'à dans les hautes montagnes, et qu'il y'avait la première université moderne en Afrique, ils auraient raconter que c'est les Français qu'avaient introduire l'électricité, l'eau courate, des transport modernes, les hôpitaux, les écoles , télévision .... bref, et que Alger s'était la plus belle ville musulmane du 19 siècl
la seul condition exige' par les coloniales (de cette époque ) afin d'avoir les mêmes droit ,c'est malheureusement que tu doit être chrétien ou juif

@@readeard4722 Ce que tu racontes n'est pas vrai, là tu ne fais que répéter la propagande du régime corrompu en Algérie qui dirige le pays depuis 60 ans et qu'a falsifie l'histoire .
Premièrement : il faut distinguer à cet époque entre la nationalité française et la citoyenneté française, les Algériens étaient touts de nationalité française (depuis le décret de 1848), mais sans citoyenneté, car la citoyenneté était réservé uniquement à ceux qui acceptaient le code civile laïc français .
Deuxièmes : En 1870 la France avait proposé aux Autochtones d'Algérie, Juifs et Musulmans la citoyenneté française par le décret de Crémieux , les élites Juifs ont accepté de suivre la loi française et les élites musulmanes l'ont refusé, car ils ont considéré que le code civile français est contraire à l'Islam et donc ils suivaient le code civile musulman qui été soumis aux tribunaux islamiques. La citoyenneté n'est pas que des droits, mais aussi des devoirs, et pour avoir une citoyenneté égale, tout le monde devrait accepter et respecter la même loi du code civile, par exemple un musulman avec une citoyenneté française n'a pas le droit de s'opposer à la demande du divorce de sa femme musulmane .
Mais aussi il y'avait à cet époque des élites musulmanes qui avaient accepté de vivre sous le code civil français , à l'exemple de l'Emir Khaled (petit fils de l'Emir Abdelkader, et qu'était un député à l'assemblé algérienne et qui a pris la citoyenneté française, et ainsi beaucoup d'autres Musulmans ont pris la citoyenneté française en étant Musulmans .

Your argument is so dumb first of all, and second, " advanced " is not the right word because Algeria is an advanced country as it is currently, the term you're lookin for is " third world country " pretty much like every other third world country, and don't forget that Algeria is relatively a very young country if we keep in mind that Algerians started taking hold of it in 1962. Which means despite being a young country, it still currently the african super power after Egypt ( which is very very veeery old )

Again,what i want to say its that french as i see from this video (despite oppression) transformed Algeria in a modern country like the others,Algeria now it doesn't like that advanced like it was,then it looks more safe before than now.
Algerians need to be powerful if they want this country to evolve,bad politics is almost everywhere.

I didn't say that is a third world country,but I said that now in 2022 it looks messed up,then,i know that Algeria has a business petroleum ecc. and probably is one of the most evolving countries in North Africa alongside Morocco,Tunisia and Egypt,but now in 2022 it doesn't look like I saw in this video.
