    You stated you were busy with a book on "ChatGPT prompts for writing non-fiction books". I will use your attached info, but I was wondering which of your books I should purchase, in order to learn the ins and outs for non-fiction writing a well as helpful tips for the "prompts" for AI for non-fiction.
    I have only written a dissertation and thesis, so I am a beginner. Thanks again, Nicole.

      I may have gotten tongue-tied and reversed my words. I don’t have a book devoted to nonfiction yet, but I have a ChatGPT and Playground nonfiction book with prompts. If you’re specifically wanting nonfiction, I really only have the current prompts I have linked in videos so far. The nonfiction book is in my to-do list but it will be quite awhile until I get to it.

    This is great, Nicole. Now if you give it the personal stories, anecdotes, experiences, etc. how do you get the AI to expand and write the chapters so that they are actually long enough?

    • @NicoleBroussard
      @NicoleBroussard  5 місяців тому

      That is something I would do myself or use a program like Sudowrite. You can use the expand feature or First Draft there.
      If you really want to use ChatGPT, I would tell it to expand the chapter and give it some guidance and focal points.
      Example: Expand the chapter above, making it more personal and heartfelt while focusing on the traumatic experience and the emotional impact.

    Thank you, I enjoyed the video and like you I just started AI for my first book but it’s all about putting your own spin and personal stories and experiences to the information AI gives you.
    It’s just nice to get a layout and ideas so your writing can start flowing. Starting any topic can be daunting but having help with an outline and what to include is exactly what will give you the push and confidence that you too can write a short story.
    I do my own editing as well because of my linguistics background. I believe you need some skill, experience and knowledge about your subject together with AI’s help and you can write great books.
    I write a lot on my computer so, I have a lot to work with.
    But thank you for this video.
    In referencing, do you reference AI as a source as well?

    • @NicoleBroussard

      I don’t list AI as a reference source since it grabs from other sources. I would rather acknowledge them directly. You can ask ChatGPT to cite its sources to help make that easier.

    Thank you for this content! Really helpful. Quick question I thought Sudo Write was for Friction only. Can it be used for non-friction?

    • @NicoleBroussard
      @NicoleBroussard  7 місяців тому +1

      Yes, sir. The Unfiltered model does surprisingly well for memoirs. If you use Story Bible, I recommend avoiding the braindump, synopsis and characters; putting your outline in the outline box or telling it in the outline box what your book topic is so it can generate beats.
      First Draft is my normal go-to for doing my outline and first draft of chapters.
      I also now have three plugins for nonfiction. I believe I did a video on them recently and gave the links.

    Can you use Sudowrite to write a non-fiction book like this? I haven't been able to figure out how.

    • @NicoleBroussard

      Yes, you can. I have a video showing that I believe. First Draft works great for nonfiction, and there are also some great nonfiction plugins in Sudowrite.
