I caught my first glimpse of The Stronghold whilst browsing ships and I knew I had to have it! Went straight to leveling up my piloting to C Class then finished getting the rest of the credits I needed. Customized it by adding two more engines, more cargo for 4,000+, upgraded the auto turrets, dropped unnecessary cosmetic pieces, painted it red and black and renamed it "The StarFucker"! 😂😂😂
Same! I added 2 more of the same engines, put the Habs I wanted, upgraded the turrets, dropped unneeded cosmetic pieces, added more cargo for 4,000+, and painted it black with red accent. Love it!
I really like both the tankiness and industrial appearance. I don't like all the 1x1 habs. One of the things I'd like to, and probably will, do is make a scaled down A class version.
Thank you so much for this video! Though I think the ship is impressive, all the 1x1s and ladders killed it for me. I do have the Norwhol which seems a bit comparable to this I think. Strangely enough my favorite C Class ship is the Dragonfire 2. I very much enjoy the pretty much one level design (I moved the engineering to the bottom of the ship thus removing the need to climb more ladders).
I have all the skills unlocked to have 8 crew members and the pilot skills. I can't figure out what to add to get crew up to 8. I upgraded the reactor, engines, bridge has 8 spots and I added the battlestations. Can you do a step by step to get the Stronghold to a crew of 8.
You need to level your crew skill on the bottom of the social perk tree. Even though a ship may allow 8 crew, you can't make use of them until you level the perk

I love this ship. Lot's of cargo and firepower. I put 2 more engines on it to help it move a bit better in fights

It’s the Stroud-Ecklund entry. The Hopetech one has a ladder.

Its a very cool looking ship and feels more grounded in reality than most of the ships in the game
Def is slept on. This thing can do everything
Stronghold has the strongest shields and the Narwhol has the strongest hull.
This has to be my favorite ship, I always buy it and put 8 PB-30s on it.

So you have leadership maxed? With a control station, cockpit, and weapons, it should reach 8

Hope town is one location you should check, but to be honest, they are quite a common fuel tank, so id check around at the local ship wrightd
