If Daima had the same marketing team as Sparking Zero, the hype train would be at an all time high.
That's toei for you they don't even know what they truly want to do with the i.p right now and that's why you see both daima and the manga throwing ideas to the wall randomly to see what sticks but bandai knows what the fans want and they gave them modern buodkai tenkaichi but the canon doesn't know what to do and barely cares about giving the fans what they truly want out of the i.p

No it wouldn’t. Sparking is a great revisit to a classic great game. Unless theirs some great epic moments in Daima which don’t get me wrong there could be, but them as kids is a TRASH idea. We could be getting Frieza black but no here’s grown people turned into kids. SMH

As someone who watches fuji TV I just can't wait for it because I watch fuji tv every Saturday because the anime airs on Sundays in Japan so it's Saturday in the us and yes it'll probably have it's original time slot again will be 9:01 AM so I am hyped to see it

Exactly. Then you have one of the top voices in the Dragon Ball community essentially bullying people for this exact opinion. I've seen pretty much every piece of Dragon Ball content ever including all the games manga etc. It's very easy to see that daima does not appeal to most of the fan base. That alone is what makes it suck. Most of the fans want x and they're not going to get x, but instead a detour that will probably lead to x at some point in the future making us all question why we just couldn't get x at first.

I stopped watching this guy for Totally Not Mark a few years ago after not only appreciating how immensely talented and passionate Totally Not Mark is, but being sick of this guy talking down to people and yelling that he's not getting enough likes. It's very awkward and unnecessary. We get that you do a lot of research (and you definitely do) and are very knowledgeable about dragon ball. People appreciate passion and genuineness. I wish ya the best though, Geekdom!

I'm just so baffled and disappointed by people who won't even give Daima a chance when it's Toriyama's final Dragon Ball project.
Because Lot of us didn't like DB franchise since GT. Not everyone has to consume everything from a franchise and be happy with all of it. And yes, i'm giving it a chance , but out of curiosity, but never hype for the sake of hype.and I dont care if Toriyama is dead. he can rest in peace all he wants, but that doesnt mean I have to like his last breath.

It's funny how many DB fans underestimate just how freaking huge One Piece is. Yes, DB is bigger in the West and I don't think that'll ever change, but One Piece DOMINATES the East, especially its home country Japan. So rest assured One Piece is here to stay.
Can't say that for DB though. It might get a game every couple of years. Maybe a movie or two but that's about it. One Piece is a phenomenon and IF you've read One Piece you'd know that its world and lore is ever expanding. Like we're literally getting a remake already by one of the hottest studios right now and the manga and original anime isn't even close to ending. That alone should tell you of the series longevity.
If a series such as Star Wars and Harry Potter can keep going decades after its series end. So can One Piece, especially since it is much richer than all those series combined in content.
Also the DB vs OP beef is ridiculous. It should've never existed. Since every OP fan were also a DB fan back in the day. They just moved on to other series after watching DB. Can't say that for DB fans though, since they don't watch or read any other series except for DB. 🤷

I can somehow relate with a lot of people who are cautious about Daima anime because the concept of Goku being a kid is not a new idea, but of course they have overlooked that the anime story seems like it is going to feature the demon realm, which is a first for any DB story.
I think the biggest frustration for many DB fans is that there has been a huge amount of 'mossed opportunities" for new saga's with DBS that could have been done to explore more of the lore of the Saiyans and others, that we still haven't gotten and probably should have gotten already either in the Manga or anime, such as Goku, Vegeta going to U6 planet Sadala to meet the king of the U6 Saiyans, History of Freiza's race, were Universes 13 to 18 restored by #17's wish at the ToP?
So many huge opportunities that Shueisha, Toei, etc, could make the most of via, but with all the focus currently being on DBD, it's more of frustration of the possibility of old ideas being rehashed again, when there is so much potential for endless new content and saga stories, etc.
As you have said though, I am looking forward to giving Daima a chance and see how it goes and reverse any judgement until I have at least seen the first 10 or so episodes and go from there.
It's amazing to me that many people still believe that Yamoshi is a legit thing and I don't buy into it because if Akira Toriyama was serious about the name of the OG SSG, he would have given the character a Saiyan name and not a Japanese name, but it is what it is and no matter how anyone tries, it's impossible to please everyone 🤣😎👍

The thing thats bad about one pieve getting all the spotlight is that, dragonball & baruto/naruto has soooo much more story to cover & a bigger fanbase overall. What struck me in the trailer for Dragon Ball Daima was that Goku and the Kai got into a spaceship. Not only have they become children, they apparently can't teleport anymore? Did anyone notice this? So not like DB GT where Goku retains his powers.
Goku in Gt couldn't use It until he became Ss4.

Iyoku seems to be out of his way to save Daima promotion only for major events like SDCC or NYCC. 3 months promotional binges aren't uncommon in Japan. It's not much difference than say Godzilla Minus which didn't get any major promotion until just a couple months before it dropped in Japan.
