Hello! I am a service dog owner as well. Bill is a Silver Lab. Recently I have made the decision to get another as I have some other needs that require a larger dog, and decided on a Giant Schnauzer. How does Sirius alert to your dizzy spells? What does he do, and how did you train it? I get frequent dizzy spells to the point I always have a cane with me to help. I would love to train Bella my sd to help with them but didn't know that sd's could alert for them or how that works at all.

It is a scent! You take a sample of your saliva from when you are in a dizzy spell and train off of that. There is some good videos here on UA-cam on how to scent train.

@@asecretcourtofcrowsandcloc4084 you can actually rename dogs, you use their original name and then immediately after say their new name do that for a while and slowly fade out their old name until they respond to their new one

I do know that it is possible to rename them, but think it something I would only do it for some reason I really didn’t like their name or had a hard time pronouncing it because I feel like it would be harder to bond with the dog and work on it the training if I was also trying to get it to answer to a name it wasn’t familiar with
