Revenant | Dream SMP Philza SBI Animatic

A while ago now, I was scrolling on my dash and someone posted this paragraph of really good advice and I loved it, it stuck with me. I thought man I gotta find out who said that... so a friend showed me the vod and it was my first introduction to Phil/SBI lore.
I finished the vod and wanted to animate some parts but I didn't know how to do some of the things I wanted to do, so it stayed in my drafts and I've worked on it over the past two years, coming together a bit at a time. A lot has changed since then, obviously, but I wanted to finish what I started, so here it is :)
p.s. I think you can tell in some parts that the ability of the person drawing has changed with time, so to minimize this, I'm going to try some shorter stuff for a little bit, then maybe go back to longer stuff eventually. there's ~10 of these i want to do, idk if I'll get to all of them, but we'll see

Super amazing animatic of one of my absolute favourite scenes form the DSMP! I watched Tommyinnit's video where we went back to watch the old streams the other day; it's so nice to see that people are still making Dream SMP art; it shows that even though its participants have moved on, the story will continue to be remembered.

I got to say, this is a very detailed dream smp animation. Like the unique artstyle of the characters you drawn are giving me 1990-2000's vibes. Even the aesthetic. Everything is so detailed even the soup and the spoon given to c!Wilbur and the background behind c!Phil, like you don't need it to be focus on the frame and yet you have done. And it was so goddamn cool. Keep it up animator... Plus ultra...

Oh thank you! I was trying to pay more attention to backgrounds in this one, and also take the chance to get into the nitty gritty of animation; there were definitely some anime influences in there haha glad you picked up on those! And the soup was so fun to make (took a second but the Ghibli ref looked so yummy). Still a ways to go, but I'm glad you enjoyed it, Thanks!
