    A 3/8 oz jig along the East River is wild. Great videos

      Once you figure out the snags you can get away with some pretty light stuff in the current cuts. It's a good time. Thank you for watching 900lbgorilla, appreciate it!

    Great video once again bob. Could you share what you look for/feel for before you know to set the hook? I just got into fishing also in Brooklyn and would appreciate any tips

      @@Peachnbasil you want the blackfish to pickup your crab and take it before setting. It takes patience to sit through all the little taps but you’ll know when the fish has the crab by feeling the line move with a tiny bit of slack

      @ awesome thanks for the tip bob. Do you let ur bait sink to the bottom?

    Bob, why do you think there aren't really massive fish around? Seems mostly shorts to just keeper size. I almost want try east river since its 15 minutes from where I live but I end up driving up 3+ hours to RI and can routinely get a five fish limit to 22" tog from shore.

      Tough to say, I think the east river works more like an estuary for them. They roll in, spawn out and leave. So you see a lot of small fish and some big ones at random times. But not like a reef spot in open water that might get picked for keepers early in the season. But heck, if you can go to RI, that is totally the move. Those are ocean fish and always bigger

    Bob have you been striper fishing at all?

    • @BobAquatic
      @BobAquatic  3 місяці тому +1

      Nah not yet, I really dislike the striper crowds with the trucks on the beach. I'm waiting till December when it goes back to peaceful vibes.
