I’m waiting on a mate with a tube bender to become available so I can make a harness bar and I’m going to mount some bolt in headrests on that for when I’m going fast. I too don’t want my head to fall off in an accident lol
Not a MK1 but I had a Black XR2 E213WYD and it was one of the first to have a Zetec engine in it. It was Fast Ford featured back in the day but that was like 2001 or something..... ended up selling it without an MOT for like 400 quid or something coz it was a bit rotten..... had a couple of MK2's but never owned a MK1 though.
Interceptors used Chysler big blocks as standard (in various capacities) but i believe they were all autos so that one may have been swapped. The BM was a 3.0 CS coupe by the looks of things, predates the 3-5-6-7 series designation.
I really wanted to get the blue ST170 MTX75 mk1 fessie there but buying a Mk3 Escort 3 Door estate has me occupied, maybe next time I can finally put on the FPE stickers and be in the row.
Love the atmosphere at Ace Cafe meets, who would've thought all them years ago when they were producing ford's in the 80's that someone would be having a tear-up with a Tesla 😆😆😎, sweet little meet👌🏻.
Your car reminds me of my Mk1 golf GTI I built with a G60 engine with mods when I was in my ealry 20s. Wish I still had that car. It was so much fun and even more fun than my current daily a polestar 2 performance. It was just the feel and sound...it really counts for a lot!!

Was good to get out there and stretch my legs. Turn out hasnt been great the last few years there. There just isnt many mk1's out there left. Wondering if its worth making it a mk1&2 fez meet going forward.... Car looks gret in person mike. Didnt come and say hello. You looked busy. Mine will be in the carpark next year. So thats one more speace filled.

@@mikefpe I'd love to mate but my hourly wage dosnt support anything pre 2000s in the ford world anymore lol my last one was a fully built st ornage rs turbo think it's a ztec build now tho . she pumped out nearly 300 on the original cvh
@@mikefpe I no exactly what you mean mate , I had a couple of people say to me retire the little old cvh and drop a ztec in but as you say there's just something about having that original little cvh still signing it's heart out ! I'll shoot some pictures over to your Facebook page .

That's a BMW E9 which predates the number series designations. However, it was succeeded by the first generation of 6 series (E24). 👍
