Hey Jordan. Great that you vlogged this. Twister came out at the same time as home surround sound. It was mind blowing. Loved Bill Paxton. His premature death was so sad.
Thank You for sharing Great watching the Twister Location.
Another great video ,thank you so much mr JORDAN for shared.
I loved the movie when it came on the big screen . And what a location to film part of such an iconic disaster movie. I found it quite eerie when you walked towards the wind chime at aunt Megs location, all of a sudden it turned and chimed . Such a peaceful town just loved how close everything is to view the sites if visiting this town . Thanks Jordan and little Jah, you always make stories come to life. 💚👍
Hi Jordan, how nice to see the actual town where it was filmed, I did like the film. I thought that was a nice little touch for them to put those little windmill chime things there. Jordan, don't be sorry, you always do your best for us and it's very much appreciated. Great vlog Jordan.
Really sad the owner didn't call you back. Thank you Jordan this was one of my favorite movies.
AWESOME!! One of my all-time favorite movies, it would probably be embarrassing if I knew how many times I'd seen it! Loved it, thank you for sharing! Roll the maps, Bob's road...lol!!
During some of my historical trips, I stop to see movie film locations along the way as well. I enjoyed this video very much. I thought your enthusiasm made the video special and it helped bring the movie 'Twister' back to life. Great job Jordan.
My family have a tradition I started where we watch Twister once a year every year at the beginning of spring. It's the perfect kickoff movie to nice weather. Awesome vlog man!
Twister is one of my all time favorite movies so thanks for the video. I live in northeast Oklahoma so this could be a perfect day trip for me.
Twister is one of my favorite movies. Love seeing all of the locations!! Thanks Jordan 💜
💋Great movie! You and Jah are the best road trip buddies. Continued Safe Travels. ~Love&Light♥️Carli
My grandparents lived in Wakita. I spent many summers there. My little league baseball meetings were in the rear of the funeral home. 1972-1973
One of my favorite movies! Thanks Jordan
Terrific presentation Jordan. Thanks for posting!
Hello enjoyed the video today sad we didn't get to see the museum but we did see the movie locations I think you did an awesome job and it was nice seeing jah laying back taking in the car he such an handsome pup.
Loving riding along on the road trip. Will have to check out the movie. Thanks Jordan.
One greatest classic film movie. Bill , Helen and Aunt Meg. All great actors. My favorite film movie. You did fantastic job. Thank You.
You were about an hour and 15 minutes away from my mom’s hometown of Waynoka. My grandfather worked for the Santa Fe railroad there, and I believe they have a Harvey House museum there. It is next to the Little Sahara State Park, which has a lot of dune buggy activities on the sand dunes there. I believe Waynoka’s motto at one time was, “The City by the Sea of Sand.”
Thank you for making the vlog great. I truly enjoyed it. You did wonderful. My favorite is the Dorothy 1
Great Vlog Jordan! I love all the photo locations for the movie. Looks like a pretty little town.
It breaks my heart to see Sir Jah doing the hard yards. Lol. Love him to bits.
I noticed many black benches in the small town. It is almost like they have one bench for each person in the town (400). Lol
Than you again Jordon for another great episode.
After yesterday's episode, re: Ma Barker, I was inspired to undertake some research on the family.
Please stay safe on your travels & kind regards from Adelaide, South
Australia.
Jah actually seems to be loving the road trip.. he wakes up all excited to go every day :)
@@DazewithJordantheLion Our Eleanor-Rigby is exactly the same. We drove to Perth from Adelaide last year (A 5 day trip) & Eleanor-Rigbey was in here element. She actually suits on a big cushion pin my lap so she can stand & look out the window. She gets really excited seeing dogs walking down the street.
It is so good that you could take him along ion your travels.
It's a pity that the Museum wasn't open, but it was just as good seeing the locations used in the making of the movie.
Again, please drive carefully & enjoy yourself.
Again, again, kind regards from Adelaide, South Australia.
Loved that movie! Nice little town.
Thanks for the effort and sharing!
Great video & great footage thanks for sharing.
Astounding filming locations!👍
I saw it many years ago. Thank you for trying. Too bad that beautiful Victorian home is gone.
Awesome job Jordan! Great movie! RIP Bill Paxton
Loved that movie. Very cool to see this 👍🏻😎
I love this 🎥❤️❤️🥰🥰

*Daze with Jordan The Lion 🦁 Aunt Megs Wakita OK appreciate your videos- Museum Listening from Mass USA TYVM 💙 Daze Meg*
Twister is 1 of my favorite movies. Enjoyed seeing all of the filming locations in Wakita. I hope that the museum will be opened for you. Thank you for showing us!
Thank do much 👏. You give such great Details 👍🏼
Jordan!! That was great! I am planning on going to this location in June. Hopefully I will have better luck with the museum.
I love it ❤️ Thank you so Much for the Great Episode ⭐️
Love that movie! Would also love having breakfast at Aunt Meg's house.
I remember when I was growing up, our teacher took us on a field trip to the local theater to see this movie, they rented out a theater for us to watch it, the special effects were great, but I found the story to be lacking, I thought that Dorothy machine was a dumb plot and I remember when Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton were cheering when the Dorothy machine went up into the funnel and they cheered, they got it done. RIP Bill Paxton, I remember Helen Hunt, being obsessed with Tornadoes, since her father was killed by one at the start of the movie, I also remember Cary Elwes of Princess Bride fame being the rival storm chaser who got killed, because he was so arrogant, and that was the first movie I ever saw Philip Seymour Hoffman, but Jordan you showed that Dorothy Machine and it brought back memories
Thank you! Was going to hunt for Aunt Meg's house in Google Maps but now I know it's gone.
Great video. Twister is one of my favorite movies. Loved that you showed all the filming locations in Wikita. Looking forward to the next video.
I suvived the EF5 tornado that struck Moore,Ok on my wedding anniversary May 20,2013. My Chihuahua's and I were stuck in the cellar for six hours. Thankfully we weren't hit. It was all my dumbness that we were stuck. I thought you popped the pin out too slide open the cellar. Ah nope pin stays in the door. Oh well Hubs showed me what to do. This is Oklahoma not like I won't get anymore chances to open the cellar. 🙄 Loved your video Jordan. So sorry you didn't get to see the museum. Hope The Jah is better, love that snaggle tooth he has so cute. Take care!
That's so cool. You did an awesome job putting it togeather for us. 😊👍
I absolutely love the movie. I never knew that Waketa was an actual place. I thought that the filming was all done on a set. Thanks for sharing.
We really enjoyed seeing all the filming locations. It will make the movie even more enjoyable the next time we view it. Many Thanks Jordan for taking the effort to make this Vlog. We really appreciate it. Jah looked so comfortable!
It was great to see some of the movie locations for Twister. Thanks Jordan and Jah.
Thank you ahead of time Jordan ❤️😘
Love Twister!! It was a well done vlog as usual that you Jordan!
I felt bad, I could hear the disappointment in your voice when you realized it wasn't open till April. Still, you pulled off a pretty good vlog!
While you were in Kansas, I heard you read, The Emit Kelly Museum, I would love to see that! He was a famous clown, a sad clown. My Grandmother loved him & had several paintings and porcelain statues of him in her home. I just watched a What's My Line?, with him as the Mystery Guest. I think he would make a great person/personality to do a vlog on!! Only 3 clowns in my life I have liked Bozo!, Emit Kelley, & Hocus Pocus (H.P. was a clown from the area I grew up as a little girl.).
You pulled it off, Jordan!!! 🌼
I lived in Sedan back in 1999 for a year and the Yellow Brick Road/Wizard Of Oz was a big part of the town.
Was there in September last year the lady that runs it was super nice she is a local that was around during filming told us several stories and said bill Paxton was the nicest guy. They have some debri from some of the buildings you can actually purchase.
That ties in really well with your Twister vehicles from Branson
My hometown is Enid, Oklahoma. Just south of Wakita.
Love the movie
I remember watching the 2 part vhs recording from the neighbors across the street from Aunt Meg's for the week they were setting up, filming and destroying everything. It's fascinating and available on UA-cam. Thank you kindly for taking us with you! Haven't seen Dorothy since the Twister ride in '01 at Universal Florida. Loved that ride, this movie and always that Major League hat! Thanks for this, buddy! :)
Man that jewelry store was cool looking, wonder what happened.? Thanks for the tour!
Very cool man, love all your videos.
Can’t wait to see Part 2.. Cool as Always ❤️
This movie is a classic
that's ok Jordan can't be helped. you do what you can. it's interesting to see where the movie was made. be safe and Jah to !!!
I love it 🥰
KOOL Jordan. Rest -up Jah. :)
That's ok Jordan. It was interesting to see all the locations anyway and to see Dorothy 1. I don't think it could have been better. I really enjoyed it. Thank you Jordan. Blessings - Judith 🎭🎵
I have a confession. I haven’t seen the movie. Putting it on the list to watch!
My favorite lines from the movie, "It's the suck zone. Fashionably late Jonas. Give me a kiss Eddie. Losers! He chucks the Beer and it never hits the ground." Philip Seymour Hoffman lol 😄💖 Dusty is the man!
This movie was so underrated. I never knew what state this was filmed in, so this is so cool to see.
too cool thank you
There is a statue of Emett Kelly at the East end of town, along with a school house close to it.
Nice!
The epitome of a quiet town!
How appropriate.. Only open during tornado season.. I want Aunt Mays wind sculptures. How sad is it that the house is gone, it was a cool house.
She explains tomorrow that the houses they destroyed in the movie had already had severe damage from a hail storm a year or two before, so the production coming and paying them, and taking down those buildings actually helped the town save hundreds of thousands of dollars on demolition. She said not everyone had insurance on their buildings, so that helped chose what they destroyed for the movie
Cool. You actually did get in the museum. Can't wait to see it, Jordan.
Wow, that was still a cool vlog eventhough it was a bummer for you. To bad the museum was closed. Would had been cool to see the old behind the scene photos. Hopefully museum doesn't go away, since it's up for sale. It would be cooler if the breaks were yellow in that one town. I meet Helen, her daughter an ex husband at a wacky tourist attractions in western Kentucky.
"where did you get all this beef aunt meg?" you see my cow's out front?
The hardware store was 'Cromwell Hardware' for eons.
This was fun to see. Awesome that we got to see the Dorothy 1. How's Jah feeling? Hope he's back to normal. Thanks Jordan
Thank You So Much Jordan for sharing this, Twister 🌪 is definitely my #1 go to watch movie, has been since it came out. I think because I have always lived on the edge of tornado alley, we get them out here every year .please look up on UA-cam Wray,Colorado tornado May 7, 2016 I believe it was And Sam & Dakota send Jah some paw bumps & Loves ♥️🌹
No matter whether you got into the museum or not it was still really a cool video and it's still a great great movie. Don't you think they did a good job with it, come on flying cows excellent.
😳 almost tornadoes season here in Illinois.
Frank Baum, who wrote the Wizard of Oz, and is from Chittenango, New York, has a Wizard of Oz museum and a yellow brick road through the town. No, it's not Kansas.
As far as the internet goes. The museum is still open. If it is still for Sale I hope a true fan can take take the reins and continue on. To many special movie museums are closed for good and that's not good.
Hopefully, someone who purchases it will continue its great history. While in Oklahoma The University of Oklahoma in Norman has a great football tradition, that would be a interesting visit They hold the record to this day of 47 victory's in a row.
“The days of sniffing the dirt are over.” “Better than what you sniff”
😁 this movie has so many great lines….. “Julie we got cows! 🐄 🌪 “
There was never a Jewlry store....it was a prop for the movie. Most of what they show on the pictures are movie props they built. That house that was on the corner was built for the movie. Alot of people have moved away and many of the houses were already about to fall down to they destroyed many houses for the movie. I lived in that town for years.
I wonder what happened to the red truck that use in the movie
I find bill truck that was in the movie
Were the houses actually homes? Or were they Prop built?
Shake and bake
I got to say, because of the movie I bought some property in town to retire, but that was a mistake. The people were snobby, and particular who they want living in town. I bought too soon ,and had to get rid of it. They had a ten year reunion,in town, spent at that time almost 3000.00 in phone calls to get some of the cast from the movie. Not even a thank you for helping, from the woman that ran the museum. She even cut me out of the picture for the paper.the picture only had her and John rhyne .the paramedic in the film.He lives in ponka city, and is now fire chief. Just to be honest she only cared for herself, didn't care about tourists,or too much about the people in town. She sure slapped me in the face ,for trying to help. With that in hand, it sure made me glad kids took some of props. Payback is a bear. They had a pinball machine, made from the movie. She used open the building,if the kids wanted to play , and left them alone. She came back and found things missing, and someone broke the lock. Just wanted to say that it wasn't such a nice place to visit.
But the yellow brick road wasn't yellow at all
Not positive but I think the Aunt's house was located on Locust Street
so sorry you lost all the footage bummer and population 400 sound about like the town I grew up in when I was a kid
👋 Love your videos and love your music that you add to your opening videos. Also love doggy dog!!😁
It's sad to hear that the owner of the museum is trying to sell it. I do hope someone purchases it and continues it. Thank you for showing another part of Oklahoma!
i hope so too
Where did you hear that??
