I hit these at Golfsmith this past weekend and they felt really good. I currently use the Taylormade Burner 2.0 and these are considered game improvement irons but I hit the 7 iron 191 yards with the RSI irons . And that is really long for me. I usually hit a 7 iron 175 or so if I strike it well with my Burner 2.0. I generally hit the ball very straight with maybe a slight fade and I hit these straighter than with less fade. Great review man!
Just reluctantly upgraded from my Taylor made "rac" irons 2001? To these and I couldn't be more happy. Only had a few rounds with them but they always feel long and sharp. Hope I get as long out of these as I did my last set.
My dad recently did the same thing (upgraded from rac) and he loved those clubs, they were just outdated. He and I recently both got the RSi1 irons and got instant feedback from mis-hits, where they were going just as far, just a little off line. Great irons!
Your swing looks very balanced right now, not over swinging at all. Anyone ever notice how some irons you pick up off the shelf and the balance weighting just feelds perfect? I seem to prefer lighter clubs and I wondered if a lighter swing weight is good or bad, or does it matter at all? I've never been "fitted" so I just don't have anything to compare it to.
I hit the tour one at the pga merchandise show, I was very surprised how nice they were. Fairly solid, and soft feeling at impact, yet it was really forgiving. The miss hits still go a good distance, and didn't feel bad as well. Was really impressed with them actually. Only hit the three iron though. So not sure about the whole set. But that saying a lot for a three iron that is forged.
Nice review. Not too pushy. Good idea of letting average golfers hit them. I'm more a fan of blades... cause I like the challenge. Interesting outfit of yours - have you lost a bet? :-)
Where are u staying in Hawaii for a month? In a hotel? Renting an apartment? Also how are u getting around? Do u have like a rental car for a month? Also did you buy those irons, how did you get those irons? Are you going to keep them for yourself?
Andrew E Staying at a friends place, I'm walking everywhere, probably walking a couple miles a day at least. I did not buy these, tailor-made sent these to me. Im not going to keep them.
I laugh they go 10 yards longer because the loft is 2 degrees less for every club 44 degree pitching wedge that's my 9 iron! And a 17 degree 3 iron that's my 4 wood lmfao. Let's make a club that has a 13 degree loft and call it an2!iron with a bs design club.cHow far can we hit it? Just shorten the courses.
rsi 2 is a little smaller head aimed at the slightly better player if your gonna get them i recommend going for the tour preferred CB range for you as they feel amazing and are very good irons...
Yo Gabe, I recently got the RSi1 irons. After just 5 rounds of play and 5 times at the range, the clubs; specifically the 4 iron started to fail at the toe. The polymer on the toe slot was torn from consistent impact and the face started to cave in. Have you had any issues like this with the RSi1's you have? I would also like to say the Taylormade golf has stood by they're product and has rectified the issue so I would like to be clear that this question should not be viewed as an attack on they're product but rather just an inquiry from other customer perspectives.
I play mp-h4 4 iron mp59-5-7 and mp-69 8-pw and mp t4 g,sw,and lw.(combo set) I think these irons would be great for someone that doesnt get to practice are playvery often.Somebody that uses alot of the face. Fortunately i do and am a decent ballstriker so somebody would have to pry my babies out of my cold dead hands.LOL. Looks, feel, sound and feedback, Thats what im about. I did play tm drivers for about 5 years till the G30 came out.
Par averages 72. So a scratch golfer would shoot 72 or below on average. If you average 82 every time you go out, you would be a 10 handicap. Just take your average score, and subtract 72 and that is your handicap.
To much thought goes into the clubs, loft, etc. I beat a guy playing with his wife's clubs and playing in her 👞 's. I was visiting from out of town. His wife has some big feet.
They need to stop making lofts stronger, courses will just get longer. Play will get slower, course management and golf course architecture will deteriorate. This isn't good for the game!
I like how you got other people involved and it wasn't just your own review. Made video a lot more creditable to me than other review videos. Thanx!
Brody Vecera Thanks!

Just bought a set of RSi2 irons and I am a 10 handicap. thanks for the review
how does it feel for you?
Put that 4-iron in your bag especially if you are hitting that baby higher. It'll make that 4iron feel like a 6 iron. More confidence for sureeeeee
Great vid dude! Your swing looked extremely in rhythm during this test
37zmanlake Thanks!
Haha gabe is so positive with everyone. Even these two wet paper bags. Go gabe and stay positive!

Nice review. Not too pushy. Good idea of letting average golfers hit them. I'm more a fan of blades... cause I like the challenge.
Interesting outfit of yours - have you lost a bet? :-)
Gabe did you make a video of you playing them on the course. I'd like to see, did you swap them for your current set?
Very cool video. I would love it if you can do more reviews on clubs (irons, wedges, drivers and fairways), maybe even some other brands.
***** sure ill try, any companies want to send me clubs, throw them my way!
PureSwingTV can't you get a hold of the new clubs in your pro shop? or maybe review them on demo days.

These clubs look so pure. Still stuck with the r9 tp b irons aha

If they are going in your bag, will you do a giveaway of your current irons?

ShortGameMaster nice, me2!
I love my rocketbladez mishits aren't bad at all and they feel amazing
JuniorGolfChamp Ya, i think Tailor-made makes forgiving irons for sure!
yeah, those shafts are definitely marketed for a mid-high handicap player...would have to go for something heavier.
Dtyler171 yes def weren't right for me.
Whats the difference with the RSi1 and RSi2 please advise.Great video and review.
rsi 2 is a little smaller head aimed at the slightly better player
if your gonna get them i recommend going for the tour preferred CB range for you as they feel amazing and are very good irons...
How far does Davis Evans hit his clubs?
Love your vids, especially the vlogs, but dude...what are you wearing?
Wow dci's! Old school and not forgiving at all.
The RSi 2 irons are not too bad looking. But, I'll stick with my Mizuno MP-62 irons.
titan90000 don't fix what aint broke!

cool thanks bro.
Where do I get one of those bracelets?
very helpful review
1.5 from the white tees at Emerald Isle
Taylormade sent you an entire iron set? That's pretty cool.
John Smith got to pay your dues and create value, and ppl will start to recognize.
I play mp-h4 4 iron mp59-5-7 and mp-69 8-pw and mp t4 g,sw,and lw.(combo set) I think these irons would be great for someone that doesnt get to practice are playvery often.Somebody that uses alot of the face. Are you going to match them to your own club😉
first guy absolutely is not a 1.5 cap mabey on a pitch and putt 🔌
Doug there is no way your a 1.5 handicap
Any way nice video keep it up
A 1.5 handicap is waaaaay better than average. Average would be 18-20.
Are they yours
James Claydon golf kind of!
Nice video but I don't know if I can trust a guy who wears a Bluetooth earpiece at the course.
To much thought goes into the clubs, loft, etc. I beat a guy playing with his wife's clubs and playing in her 👞 's. I was visiting from out of town. His wife has some big feet.
Gabe you in Hawaii?
robocop30301 yup! been here for a week and a day:)
Feeling like Sean Foley mode in the vid or did you steal those from a 3D movie? Jk. Nice review!
MarcHill83 haha they are from a skrillex concert actually haha
They need to stop making lofts stronger, courses will just get longer. Play will get slower, course management and golf course architecture will deteriorate. This isn't good for the game!

Daniel Withington thanks, rocking the knickers a little!
Fly-z ftw
Lol Doug 1.5 handicap from the ladies tees
yeah that's what I was thinking wtf. 80mph swing speed.
I thought the same thing
Zynthesis
Well, 80 MPH SS would definitely be higher than average with irons, so I guess if you are actually correct he could be playing normal tees.
Which rsi were u hitting?
Sumit Aggarwal the 1 series
Why are you dressed like that and why does that guy golf with a Bluetooth on?
I play Ping i5
inspirationbygod Kewl!
