Charolais Bull: Blelack-Digger (AI Sire)

A Charolais bull with huge commercial relevance for the breed. Nearing 500 performance recorded calves in the UK. Breedplan has identified Blelack Digger to have EBVs that are in the top 5% for Calving Ease, Gestation Length and Birth Weight. Post calving his progeny have placed him in the top 1 % for 400 Day Growth and Carcase Weight. Possibly enough said when it comes to your commercial clients' requirements? That is, where profitability is predetermined by tonnage of beef produced per acre. More live calves, heavy finished stock with a moderate maturity pattern (see Oakchurch sons in footage) with the fat cover and yield to carcase specifications.
For the stud breeder he offers superb structure, fertility and mobility. For a British Charolais he offers neck extension, smooth shoulders with good angle and flex through the pastern and terrific chine expression that finishes off his front end nicely. His feet are excellent, his stride action is straight with good rear foot placement.
Not without fault. For some he will be a little low in the pin set, he carries a bit of sheath and he is a horned bull. All areas that can be comfortably carried with the appropriate mating.
Additional traits such as Milk, EMA (Eye Muscle Area), and UK Index values are all in the top 1-5% of the breed. His first drop of daughters have good shaped udders with well formed teats.
