6:37 Suho said that during the Mama stage in 2017. That event has many bitter feels for Exo-Ls so that's why he assured Exo-Ls and even warned haters to back off.
Another sad thing is (I could be wrong) but that end scene where Baek tells us not to cry was when the 2017 Mama incident happened where the event robbed Exo of awards, made fun of them and even physically hurt fans from leaving the event due to the mistreatment of the group. Chanyeol was crying because they were learning if the event with fans as it was unfolding and couldn’t do anything. Just shows how strong Baekhyun is for not breaking down and comforting us.
Side note - how gorgeous are their outfits here? They look like kings 👑

i don't know about other groups, but when you become an exo-l, you will know that their love really exists and you will feel it, even if you never meet them in person, that love will reach you and will be a motivation to keep living a happy life

You don't have to stop anything Exo, to listen to their music, albums, fun times, shows, anyrthing Exo...not to critique their talent, but to be part of a family...they have a lot of content to just watch, as a fan...you already appreciate them for talent, so unless you've done all the albums, solo albums, events with them, doing content now and then keeps you in the know, and follow anything they do as a fan. Don't just write them off. Yes, you have other groups to begin and check out...but keep Exo close by doing content you haven't seen before, just enjoying them without critique.

'PROMISE' is really special because it is for EXO-L and they always sing it with so much emotion. It's a promise to us fans which by the way they never broke..when they said they will no leave, no one really left EXO even if they can, even if they are capable bec that's their promise.
I think if you make it through all EXO content to this video you are definitely now officially an EXOL. I’ve only been an EXOL for about 2 years but this still makes me cry because you can really feel their sincerity & love for all the support they have received 😭
I have seen that video several times before so I was confident to watch it again and keep my composure. Then the concert clip with the fans chanting "We are one" came on and that got me 😭
In the last award clip where Baek is talking he's not using honorifics when speaking to the crowd, he always speaks casually when talking to the fans. If I remember correctly I think he got some critique for that since it was a national broadcast, but you can see by the smile on his face that he doesn't care because he's talking to his beloved Eris who had been hurt. I love him so much!
watching the last clip from mama awards 2017 brings all the trauma in me. exo being robbed for multiple awards despite eating up all the physical, digital votes. exo-ls being mistreated by mama staffs, exo seeing exols being mistreated, baekhyun assuring exols that its okay because at least they still won a daesang "album of the year" (again, they should have sooo much awards more than they got), performances being cut by mama, i believe this was the time xiumin should have a solo perf but he wasnt able to perform and so many more. this was also the last time exo participated in award shows.
I've watched the original vid of this several times and this reaction vid twice now and everytime, Kai hits me the hardest. 😭💔 Suho comes in close second and Baekhyun's face in 14:24. 😭😭😭

After the investment of the fans, Exo was supposed to win many awards and it was even possible to see that Exo beat the other competitors by a large margin, but MAMA lied and gave them only one award (part of this as a result of the company's conflict with Mnet). In addition to that, the staff treated the group and their fans really badly that day, so EXO tried to calm the fans down and cried together with them about the bad treatment. Exo didn't return there until 2023.
In 2023, a number of apologies came out from various competitions that they lied and gave over the years awards that belonged to EXO to other groups.
Despite the huge popularity they had, Exo suffered bad treatment from every direction and they constantly tried to take them down from success.
