Hot Pursuit's Pagani Zonda is unmatched, Horizon 5's just sound way too clean, smooth and muted, whilst HP's is all rough, aggressive and in your face. No competition imo lol
No. It isn’t necessarily better than NFS, Because it’s the same as NFS but at Higher Pitch at Higher RPM’s. At lower gears and before hitting rev limiter to shift gears, you can literally hesr the exact same sound used for Hot Pursuit Remastered/2010 for PS3 (360 and PC were never updated to have the better sound). I’ll do a comparison video of the two explaining how Playground Games literally went into Hot Pursuit Remastered’s Game Files, Specifically selected their Zonda Cinque Audio file, fine tuned it for their game to sound “different”, and voila, theres the sound we all know and love, the FH5 Zonda Cinque. They didn’t have any ideas so they used Hot Pursuit instead. I should know, I’ve been through Hot Pursuit’s game files myself (currently developing a Lamborghini Aventador mod for the original and possibly remaster).

Definitely! TDU2's Zonda and NFS Hot Pursuit's Zonda are a close tie for me. The only thing that ruins the TDU2 Zonda sound is the horrendous shifting sound / implementation in the game and it's not just for the zonda, it's for all the cars. Like when the cars shift, it's like the sound just skips and it just seems so 'robotic', you can even see in the tachometer in the HUD it's not smooth.
I bet you guys that this would sound even better in the new Forza Motorsport. If they took this exact sound file and combined it with the use of ray traced audio in FM, this would outdo NFS Hot Pursuit.
I don't necessarily think that the Forza sound is more realistic. If you watch videos of the Zonda F, Zonda 760 and the Zonda Cinque, they sound pretty much the same as in NFS HP. The Forza sound is too relaxed, the Zonda is screeching in real life.
fun fact: criterion & ea worked with pagani and recorded the sound irl which is why the nfs is most accurate, there’s a video showcasing pagani v lamborghini for the game irl

I think ea collabed with pagani themselves to capture that sound. That’s why the tone is so accurate

Im not surprised, because NFS Developer recorded car sound from a real car so it very insane that NFS Hot Pursuit are have better car sound
