Coaching the Lakers is a job nobody wants

  • Lakers wanted JJ Redick but then apparently wanted Dan Hurley, who them turned them down in a shocking turn of events, and now they must go back to JJ? The Lakers are so random and irresponsible that coaching there is seen as a flight risk. Coaches should be lining up to coach in LA and have the supposed "GOAT" be on their roster, but they are doing anything but. Why that is I don't know exactly but I can provide reasons as to what may factor into this current state of affairs. Lebron James being one of if not the biggest.

Coaching LeBron is a job that nobody should want. They should just let him pull a Bill Russell and let him be a player coach so as to not have any more coaches names be tarnished by him.
Edit: seems like a lot of people are interpreting this as me saying that LeBron is their best option or something, but that’s not the case at all. I’m just sick and tired of Bron running away from accountability by using coaches as scapegoats, so give him the reins to show him how much of a problem he really is.

Right Kobe and MJ was crazy fierce competitors on the court and to their teammates but is LeGm is running teams since his return to Cleveland era. And when it aint working, not his problem and wasn't his influence. Just bring him more teammates and coach scarfices!!!! 💯 and yes we all know Lebron is a all time great. That is not in debate.

If u even paid attention to Lakers history AT ALL (which I highly doubt it outside of our championships), Kobe was pullin the LeGM card for the last few years of his career.
U wondered why he managed to get Pau Gasol? U wondered how that superteam with Dwight and washed up Nash was formed? U ever wondered why CP3 was almost a Laker? U ever wondered why he convinced the coach to allow him to play every minute prior to his ACL injury? So don’t pull the GM route and also mention Kobe. And I am a Kobe fan as well

It’s not all on Lebron. A good amount of responsibility does fall on him, yes. But, not all of it.
    1) The West is stacked and the Lakers front office looks at this team that has only made the playoffs due to the play-in tourney as a title contender.
    2) AD’s history of injuries has to be a concern! They have one of the best tandems in the NBA but it’s not unreasonable to expect AD to miss 30 games next year.
Reasons 3 and beyond are Lebron!
-Potentially being forced to draft and even worst yet, possibly have to play his son
-Being berated on the court, and passively aggressively at press conferences and on social media
-Him walking off the court mid-play to make a point.
    -Coach kill count
    Etc…etc…
