So I just thought of this. When welding to vehicles with combustion motors its good to disconnect the battery. This way you don't fry the body and engine ecu's. But what do you do when practically the whole car is a giant battery? Lol. Looking good though guys!
You have something called peak trap thats my translate from spanish maybe another name on english. Its a little box with a positive and a negative clamp that you Connect to possitive and negative with out disconecting the battery this absorb curreng peaks
you guys need to get some solar panels to mount on the top of the tent now, maybe that will help with keeping the batteries topped up since it has no range now
Why not motorize the HF tubing roller. I know you have some electric motors laying around. Or a strong drill. Another trick is to turn tubing into an air tank like some bikes use frame for fuel.

You know what you need for that harbor freight bender.. one of those pivot handles like on a semi steering wheel or just a crank arm welded on with a handle that rotates either way would make your lives easier bending

I think those rear mounts will snap right off. To thin and small for the weight and add the off road vibrations. Its snapping time. I could be wrong, but I have that spidy sense about them.

Its looking awesome! Hell yeah! Now there's only one upgrade left, although its a long-term one due to cost and technical limitations, a range extender of some sort (probably solar panels and a portable gas generator for overnight charging)... and I'm questioning myself on why exactly I was searching up RTGs and the viability of using Polonium-210 because its 140 W/g in power density with a half-life of around 3 and a half months, and I realized three things, those are suspicious search terms (lol wonder what lists that put me on XD), RTGs are only 10% efficient so to make enough power to recharge the battery would probably make the car get quite hot/melt some support tubes, and that the Polonium required for such an RTG would bankrupt a whole State XD My mind goes in very odd places. I did learn however that the worldwide production rate of Po-210 is just 100 grams per year, at a rate of $25m per gram.

One of the things that makes this channel so good is the quality of the work you do, and your workshop practices. There are some channels that make me cringe as a retired engineer - I won't mention names, but you could rearrange the words 'Welding B Rather' to come up with one of the worst. The Tesla roof rack is truly a work of art, and huge kudos to Ethan and the crew for creating suck a close fitting rack with its compound curves. I also love that you guys can properly send your creations. I used to think that the Welding B Rather channel's vehicles were underpowered until Vasily drove one and it suddenly developed serious performance. Have a great trip and say hello to Paul and his crew from Fab Rats who I believe will be there. Now that could be an excellent collaboration!

Now there's only one upgrade left, although its a long-term one due to cost and technical limitations, a range extender of some sort (probably solar panels and a portable gas generator for overnight charging)... and I'm questioning myself on why exactly I was searching up RTGs and the viability of using Polonium-210 because its 140 W/g in power density with a half-life of around 3 and a half months, and I realized three things, those are suspicious search terms (lol wonder what lists that put me on XD), RTGs are only 10% efficient so to make enough power to recharge the battery would probably make the car get quite hot/melt some support tubes, and that the Polonium required for such an RTG would bankrupt a whole State XD
My mind goes in very odd places. I did learn however that the worldwide production rate of Po-210 is just 100 grams per year, at a rate of $25m per gram.
Thanks man! Haha! Yeah, the most plausible thing would be to have a small generator to run at night while you sleep. Solar panels obviously wouldn’t do much unless you had a whole field of them.
@@GrindHardPlumbingCo A "small" one wont do the job, you will need at least 11KW. But as you have a hitch that should be not a problem. Maybe charging on the fly will be possible. It is still an environment friendly car because the pollution will be done by the cargo not the car :))))
One of the things that makes this channel so good is the quality of the work you do, and your workshop practices. There are some channels that make me cringe as a retired engineer - I won't mention names, but you could rearrange the words 'Welding B Rather' to come up with one of the worst. The Tesla roof rack is truly a work of art, and huge kudos to Ethan and the crew for creating suck a close fitting rack with its compound curves. I also love that you guys can properly send your creations. I used to think that the Welding B Rather channel's vehicles were underpowered until Vasily drove one and it suddenly developed serious performance. Have a great trip and say hello to Paul and his crew from Fab Rats who I believe will be there. Now that could be an excellent collaboration!
