Thanks for watching. Well sometimes you get lucky on repairs. Now i just have to adjust the tone arm so it drops sooner. Right now it travels almost all the way over then comes down but i will get that sorted out.
Thanks for watching. Well from watching Dougs Electronics Repair Bench the belt breaking was a commo n problem. So when the guy i bought it from said the turntable didnt move first thing i thought of was the belt. There are actually a lot of parts for these turn tables on ebay and pretty cheap so some days you get lucky
yeah its easy to fix Doug needed a tool to get the band on my fingers are better than his i guess i got it on with one finger I only have about 5 records but they all seem to play fine. even the Pioneer Amp works fine been running the phono off of that to play the phonograph. basically testing out two things at once even the graphic equalizer on the amp works fine
Hi there, I need help. I have the same turntable. My tonearm descends inside the lead-in groove, the manual says (page 11), I have to remove the rubber bush, which is on the left side of the same tonearm..but i can't, i don't know how???Do I need any special tools? to remove the rubber? When the vinyl ends, it doesn't come back either.!! help
So many of these turntables get the grease gums up in them and it effects many operations including the tone arm not returning. well the problem with the tone arm the rubber tends to crack with age so you have to be careful slip a small screwdriver under it and carefully pry it off. Yes those manuals just assume you know exactly what you are doing. So check to make sure the old grease is cleaned off. You can use acetone to lossen the old grease and then apply lithium grease on the mechanical moving parts.
@ luckylarry. you have to press the main power on then press standby button to turn all the lights and functions on that sa-1270. it's a great stereo receiver from 1985 @105 watts per channel rms. i had 2 of them, and still have one that i won't part with for sentimental reasons. Only problem i ever had with that unit was the graphic equalizer , the lights would randomly go out in spots and turn back on which had no affect on playback. It will also use a remote from newer pioneer receivers as well. one of the best 80's receivers in my opinion and durable as well.
Thanks for the information and I did find out how to use it but it does have a problem. It tends to make intermittent jumps in power. Have to check it out in another video.
I'm in home health, trying to fix a stroke client's pioneer 600 bought a new belt, put it on but it's not turning, is there something else I need to do or could be the problem? She love's it but can't remember basic repairs and I haven't touched one since I was a child
The motor could be locked up. Check to see if the band moves freely. It should turn quite easily and not slip. also the tone arm switch my need to be unplugged the contacts get dirty.
@@LarryDeSilva64 there's a wheel(no clue what to call it) it looks to me like it may help the belt spin the table, it moves when power is on, when I put everything back the way it came and press for it to spin and drop the arm the table does not spin. Thank you for helping by the way I'm at a loss.
Thanks for watching well i always had pioneer equipment. But Yamaha makes really nice stuff and sansui but its all a personal preference. Actually my hearing is not that great from spending 31 years near heavy equipment and a sandblaster i cant hear certain tones so I couldnt say if one sounds better over another.
I was told Sansui has gone down the tubes. I know what you mean on noise, I've been teaching firearms since 1972. and even with ear protection time takes it's toll.
Yes I was next to a sandblaster and had ear plugs and ear muffs on (we were sandblasting Rusty Steel gas transmission pipe) and still it got to my ears and at the same time I ran a 15 ton Hyster forklift had to wear ear protect according to the decibel meter it was as loud as a jet engine. So yeah my ears aint what they used to be plus I also have Tonitus with my ears ringing all of the time.
Hello I just bought a turntable Pioneer PL 600 vinyl like new but I find that the speed of the automatic arm at launch and return is too slow it advances and returns slowly and I can not find a way to adjust it either on the manual or on the internet. Can someone from your home help me? thank you cordially Mark
Well Max I don't really know I'm no expert just fix what I see. What it sounds like is the motor speed control board is going out from what you described. That's my guess. But it could also be something as easy as just flipping through the speeds on the control itself they do tend to get dirty.
Great fix on the turn table 👍🏻👍🏻 hope the amp works out !!! cheers 🍺🍺

Getting the belt ahead of time was smart, that's using the 7p's.
Nice quick fix.

You reminded me, I think I have one in the attic and that may be what's wrong with it.

That is awesome! Good score then!

Pioneer, Sansui, HK Crown use to be Top shelf. How are they compaired to the today's Yamaha, Onkio and so on?
