I just clicked on this, so idk your opinion yet but I am actually glad I bought the Dyson. I bought the seg beauty diffuser to go on it and I can actually dry my hair on med heat and medium air flow & be done in 20 minutes (sometimes less!) which is a big difference compared to every other dryer I've used, plus the light weight is better on my neck, & it's quieter than most other dryers so I'm not bothering my roommate when I diffuse at 930 at night LoL. I also bought mine at the 20% off Dyson sale at Ulta. Is it necessary? No, but I'm glad I have it🤷🏽♀️ idk how long haired people are able to diffuse with their diffuser though. It bunches my curls up in weird ways. The $15 diffuser I bought that fits onto the attachment for straightening is really great & doesn't require tools like trying to fit the black orchid on the Dyson.
The diffuser is awful. For me the Dyson isn’t worth the money but my daughter loves it. I know a lot of people like it. It didn’t wow me enough to justify the cost.
Thank you I saw this dryer on Walmart and thought about it. Thank you I'll spend my money on something else.
I personally don't see the dyson dryer as worth it especially at the price point. I bought the xtava and snozzlepro to use on my cheap conair blow dryer when I first started to diffuse maybe 4-5 years ago and worked really well. I then splurged on the shark dryer 2-3 years ago and used it for a solid 1-2 years. I did like it but the temp was too hot and it was kind of heavy but I did like the diffuser bowl. I then got then got the curlsmith travel dryer last year for when I travel and found I absolutely hated the diffuser bowl and it had a tendency to suck my hair into the vent because my hair is fairly long. I now use the curlmsith dryer with the xtava head and snozzlepro since it's super lightweight but just have to be careful diffusing as not to lose hair again lol. I find when my hair is wet or has a good gel cast I'm usually safe.
Helpful information! Thank you for sharing! I definitely agree with you on the Dyson. I haven’t tried the shark or Curlsmith ones. I’ve been using a Hot tools one for years now. No complaints really. Thank you for watching!
Im thinking about it just because my hair is so thin and I want to take care of it without burning it :( so idk what to do cause I can go out with my hair dry
Good to know. I was thinking of upgrading my current dryer and I will definitely be skipping this one after your review.
What hair dryer do you usually use?
A hot tools one. It should be linked in the description box. Or one similar since mine is very old and has lasted forever.
Well this is totally the opposite of my wife's 20+ years experience with the Dyson hair dryer. She said it's worth every penny for the dyson. So confused why this is not a good review
I purchased my dyson quite a few years ago. I have a love hate relationship with it. Pros it dries hair speedy cons does not create much volume. Would I ever repurchase absolutely not!
Thank you for sharing your experience! This will be helpful for others! Thank you for watching!
This isn't the new one that they have the new one is $499
I saw that one. I think I put $429 as the price point on screen and linked the older one not the newer one.
I am glad that I don't own a dyson hair dryer I use the shark blow dryer brush and I am happy with the results I get
I will never own a dyson hair dryer or the dyson airwrap
I also use a heat protection spray with my shark blow dryer brush
