A Series I’m starting that I hopefully will actually make and not totally forget about after one video, regardless here are the 5 Most Influential JDM 90’s Cars! Also, totally breaking convention of list videos, I’m actually just going to tell you all 5 cars at the start so y’all Timestamping MF’s don’t feel big brain for using YT’s auto chapter feature and have to actually comment something productive instead.
Nissan R32, Acura NSX Gen 1, Mazda RX-7, Subaru Impreza, MK4 Toyota Supra, and DON’T YOU FORGET MY BOI THE MITSUBISHI 3KGT VR4. But Bladed? Isn’t that 6 cars, not 5? Oh well uhhh, revised title: 6 MOST INFLUENTIAL 90’S JDM CARS. There we go, okay moving on…
TO MY ABSOLUTE BOI, THE 3KGT VR4, y’all already know the know hows of the other 5 cars in this vid, they’re just here for affirmation bias. But ohhhh. Ohhhh. The Glorious VR4. Lemme talk about the Lancer briefly while I’m at it too. The Galant VR4 also known as the Evo 0, was also a glorious car made by Mitsubishi that would bear the VR4 Moniker which meant: Viscous Realtime 4WD which was Mitsubishi’s Front Engine 4WD system used on their performance Hatchbacks, Sedans, and yes, even a Glorious Coupe like the just watch the freaking video I'm not putting the whole script here.

@@tanaka90 2JZ is not for the Supra A80 actually. That's the Toyota JZA147 (Aristo)/Lexus GS Sedan's engine.
And the 2JZ is shared in different platforms....even the Lexus SC 400/300 Coupe which is where the MK4 A80 Supra came from
I would give both 1 and 2nd gen Eclipse because they help start two of many import Resurgence in America. 1st was a great beginners car for drag racing. Light weight, AWD, and Turbo from a engine that can make 600hp easily. Of course the 2nd gen was fast and furious which help started my generation to look in the world of cars. Eclipse is really a unsung JDM Legend who don't get much credit to its name.
I can add them in the 2nd vid, like bro. One car per company, 3KGT took Mitsu this vid. Lancer prolly will take 2000s. Maybe Eclipse for a 90s part 2.

What about the EK9 Civic Type R? It might be a little overrated idk but I do believe that it also deserves a love as well for genuine enthusiast (especially for people who used it as a track weapons or building it like the Kanjozoku styles), yeah it's just a Civic but hey, it's got a plenty of potentials as a track car, street car or etc. Spoon Sports did also got their hands on them and it became iconic in its time!!! Anyways, love your vids man!!!

I'm willing to make a case for the Suzuki Sx4 being in the 2000s vid because of it's racing heritage in WRC even if the project wasn't as successful as other brands in WRC

I almost bought a 3000GT VR-4 as my first car, ended up backing out for a couple reasons, the top one being that I found out it was actually a flip sale, not the original owner (records were perfect by the original though). It was only around 10k USD (yes, this was just this year) and somewhere around 100k miles, painted in a dark green metallic and with a black/beige interior. If it was the previous owner still, I might have bought it, but the new owner was fixing it up with "parts from Amazon" (his own words) so I quickly backed out of that one. I doubt I would have been able to maintain it properly regardless, given the MSRP was what, 40k on those? 60k? This is all adjusting for inflation of course, but yeah, may have been a missed opportunity, but probably many financial headaches avoided.

If anything. The Mk4 supra blew up in popularity so much that the Mk3 Supra is more affordable then it. Shame really because almost no one talks about the Mk 3 Supra. It needs more love
