4:23 and the tails chase is actually very good, love how Sonic's lust for a kill is so intense and his face while he's gaining on tails just *chefs kiss*
I love how at 12:16, sonic style changes from pixel art to hyper realistic style, so it's like he's watching you no more from the game, so he can write "I am god" on the screen. Brillant. Easily my favorite part of the whole game.
I honestly find the pixelated version as it's appearing from the shadows a bit creepier than the more high def version that appears shortly after. Like imagine being a kid not knowing what this is, playing it at night with all the lights out, only to be met by that haunting, sinister grin from one of your favorite childhood characters on your TV screen. Oh the nightmares that could invoke.
I like how in the Knuckles and Eggman levels, Sonic.exe attacked them after a time when they reached a certain trigger, rather than immediately after it was reached. It creates an atmosphere that the monster is really looking for you. The problem with many EXE games is that they are heavily scripted, and when you just stand still, nothing happens. Here, at least such moments are a little less
Finally an actual good, creepy remake that stays true to the original and doesn't make EXE this edgy quirky OC like all other EXE games do, instead settling for a competent killer who seems to enjoy torturing the characters . They outdid themselves with this one
Man, if THIS was the version that came out back in 2011, I would’ve been scarred for life. The original Sonic.EXE didn’t creep me out that much, aside from the “I Am God” screen, but this version just leaves me feeling uneasy and tense. Honestly creeped me out at times. That dead Knuckles portrait would’ve haunted my nightmares if I’d seen that shit in 2011.
Yeah most of the time even if those cringy half life 2 scream memes came out in that time, they would all be considered as some kind of creepypasta for example
The reason why the earlier version is cringe because… 1. The creator of the early version was bad. 2. They didn’t had this many ideas like this one 3. I don’t know anything else…
@@daxthegodwolf9481. If you’re referring to the person who made the original Sonic.EXE story then yes. 2. Yeah we’re talking about the first exe game out there if I remember correctly.
This immediately won me over with the characters actually changing facial expressions and having unique animations to show their fear. Especially Tails looking at the player and making frantic gestures, like he does in the actual story.
honestly, the sudden change of the green hill stage from nice and blooming (excluding the music of course) to unsettling as you encounter the dead animals works well, even in the original game, because no one was expecting it unless they read a creepypasta before playing. here it's even better since we can actually see tails' reaction when he sees the corpses. it is something that the original missed. you've done a great job on this remake
Changing the death scenes to not only look more gruesome while doing less visually and focussing more on the audio of the characters slowly dying was incredible. - Severing Tails’ hamstrings then snapping his neck before cutting the video and continuing to make it sound like EXE brutally murders him is better than most of what I’ve seen. It’s much more simple yet much more effective. - Knuckles getting his jaw broken then his abdomen crushed, then cutting the video and letting you listen as he struggles to breathe, probably choking on his own blood. That’s terrifying. Looks much more scarier when Sonic.EXE isn’t some lovecraftian monster or weird amalgamation creature. He still looks and moves like Sonic might’ve been able to, but looks and acts different enough that it certainly couldn’t be him. That does change a bit with Eggman sadly but it’s not too over the top to warrant any complaints from me. Only thing that is missing now is the sonic secret level. And maybe removing the curtains from Eggman’s level too, they aren’t really necessary and kinda just get in the way
@@pixigirldust yeah, it’s hard to notice, but there is a bit of red right behind Tails’ legs, which I’m guessing implies that Sonic.EXE severs Tails’ hamstrings so that he can’t move. And while yes, he does still have his tails, I think he’d be more preoccupied with the fact that he can’t move his legs to think of using his tails.
"its honesly incredible" how is it incredible? hearing that feels very disturbing if the black screen wasnt cutten out, then it would be honesly true nightmare fuel seeying what EXE is doing to alan and dave
@@ghoull2010 that’s what makes it so much scarier for me, only being able to hear it allows the mind to fill in the visuals instead, and nothing is more scary than one’s imagination. I agree it would’ve been scary if we actually saw what happened, but I think leaving everything that happens to them up to interpretation is much cooler.
This is one of the few times a remake has tried to actually be faithful to the original creepypasta, and as someone who has read it and both of its sequels multiple times over, I want to take the time to nitpick this thing apart- mostly based on how accurate it is, but accuracy isn't all there is to something like this. This remake includes quite a few things from the original creepypasta that were never present in the original game adaptation by My5tCrimson, but also excludes many things that very same adaptation got right the first time. But despite this, it also brings a lot of new, impressive and unique things to the table- I can't say that it does that without interfering with the accuracy in question, however, but still, it's a welcome addition. The graphics are massively improved obviously and are near 1:1 with the actual Sonic games. Even the parallax scrolling is present. The title screen is very different from the original description, but in a good way. The laugh being similar but not exact to Kefka's laugh from Final Fantasy VI is something the original creepypasta actually did mention, so points for that. The hill at the very end of... well, Hill, is also back from the original creepypasta, but the "act 1" part of the title card is gone for some reason. The walking section goes on for a lot longer than before, but still not as long as it's supposed to be- not a negative thing, all things considered. 2 minutes is a good compromise between like 45 seconds and 5 whole minutes. The characters appropriately change expressions in line with the original creepypasta. The change from static to droning is interesting and fits quite better. The messages left by Sonic are changed for... no real reason, and it feels weird. I don't personally like it, but it's not that important in the end. The overhaul of Hide and Seek doesn't change anything significant, but it adds onto what's already there in quite a nice way. Having the chase scene in the forest where there was originally an autoscroll segment with Flying Battery bombing Sonic and Tails is a really nice addition, and turning the time over on its head is very clever. However, its presentation, although higher quality, is a downgrade from the original fangame- Sonic flashes in multiple poses across the screen, not just multiple poses in one spot. His head having three frames of twitching and nothing else makes it lose its unpredictable effect almost instantly. He is replicating Metal Sonic's pose, another part from the creepypasta it got right over the fangame, but his sprite still changes to make him look more manic and insane, which is a welcome addition. I have mixed feelings on the presentation of the messages. On one hand, having the messages just appear in complete silence is kind of chilling and more effective, on the other hand, it feels too serious for a game like this whereas having that weird screen fade sound effect from Sonic 1 followed by that overly demonic voice acting feels more campy and in-line with the nature of the story. This may just be a personal feeling of mine, but Sonic.EXE being more cliche and hard to take seriously adds to its charm. That being said, the actual gore audio in place of the generic scream from that one 1988 horror movie with added reverb does an absolutely fantastic job, the gruesome nature of the audio really nails what pixel art at the scale of in-game Sonic characters could never hope to achieve to the same level. It really does sound like torture, even if it loses a little more of that goofy charm the original had- however, although Sonic is definitely snapping Tails's neck, it looks like he's slapping him across the face and I like that. It's funnier. The bitcrush effect isn't neccessary but it does make it sound slightly better for some reason. The same can be said about the mangled corpses on the data select screen. The changes made to You Can't Run are absolutely fantastic. This level is just perfection. Using the lightning in Stardust Speedway Bad Future's background as a means to alter the Scrap Brain foreground instead of using regular static is absolutely genius, and the actual alteration looks infinitely better than the spilled ketchup the fangame did. It looks more like rust, which fits better, and is very well designed. Blink and you'll miss it moment here, too, you can see the shape of Sonic's head *in the clouds,* which while pointless is again, just a really nice improvement. And the FOUND YOU scene- really tiny nitpick here but just personal preference really, the random assortment of fonts chosen for the text in the original fangame feels far too iconic to change, but that's definitely just me refusing to take off my rose-tinted glasses- but OH MY GOD, this segment is perfect. The goofy halloweeny music combined with Sonic doing these goofy taunts and wacky poses, it's just indescribably well done I cannot put it into words. It's well animated, and you can even see his eyes spiraling around like a cartoon character during the lightning flashes. It's perfectly wacky yet also maintains respect for the original creepypasta's description, having Sonic still obscured in that strange smoke filter. And then there's him just kicking Knuckles in the face, which is funnier than it has any right to be. Easily the most well done part of the entire remake. And then there's ... ... If the level itself wasn't so boring, maybe more could've been done with it, but as it stands it was still improved as well as it could be, easily second best. Firstly, wholly original assets! Just like the creepypasta explicitly outlined, and the fangame failed to deliver on. This remake executes it flawlessly. Purple brick walls lined with torches, checker pattern floor, and even the curtains fixed to the top of the screen are FINALLY here. Not swaying every 12 seconds in a barely noticeable fashion so 0/10-- but for real, the tileset is fantastic, and it fits with the Classic Sonic aesthetic really well, it doesn't feel out of place- it'd fit right at home in Sonic 3. Having the stairs function as slopes is also far less jarring. As an added bonus, Robotnik has a sprite for sliding down slopes, and it's really funny for no reason, perfectly in line with that silly little run he does. Although some might complain about how this segment has been extended, be grateful because now we actually get to hear more than 10 seconds of that beautiful song playing in the background without just standing around doing nothing. The original fangame spent more time on the stupid reversed version when the segment with this song lasted 10, maybe 20 seconds before cutting to silence. Speaking of which, the portions of the segment- nothing but better executed versions of the fangame, though unfortunately they do retain that momentary flash of black instead of gradually transitioning to the next palette as they should. Then there's Sonic appearing, and Robotnik's reaction is great- that looks like a meme face, I'm not gonna lie. Sonic is pretty well done here too, the way his face stretches also evokes that "trying to be scary but coming off as silly" vibe that the original Sonic.EXE feels like it was always meant to have. Another thing taken straight from the creepypasta is the fact that it actually does go back to the data select screen after this- well okay, technically it's after the "I AM GOD" thing, but this is just better for flow in all honesty. It gives us a chance to see the mangled corpses of all three victims which is nice. And then there's the "I AM GOD" screen. Honestly the only thing it could've done better was use an actual realistic 3D model of the guy, but not everyone has the patience to figure out how to do that so it's understandable- barring that, it's literally just an improvement upon the original, and for once, finally, after a decade of absence, it includes the sudden jumpscare the creepypasta originally mentioned. FINALLY someone did it. That aside, the improvements made here are again, top notch. You can very very clearly see the inspiration taken from compugecko532's iconic take on the image, namely the head shape, quill positions, and mouth shape- and the cheshire cat/werehog teeth smile originally described is on perfect display here as well. I can't believe I'm saying this, but they even included the animal flesh stuck in his teeth as well. I also love how instead of being instantly hyperrealistic, it actually starts under the genesis filter but then reveals its true nature, feels a lot more effective that way. Though it kinda looks like he's looking downwards instead of at the screen, if that makes sense. And having him actually write out his little message on the screen itself instead of it just appearing is- it literally could not have been done better. There is absolutely nothing about that that could have been done in any better way. That should have been how it was from the beginning.
Out of all of this though, there's one thing that bothers me the most about all this, the biggest inaccuracy the entire thing has- the music. I mentioned this before in the message presentation with the altered sound design this game took, but it applies to the actual tracks as well. It doesn't change the title screen, Hill, or ..., probably because the former makes zero sense to change and the latter is simply too iconic to change, but the others were changed for no reason when literally the original fangame got this almost perfect from the get-go. I'm not gonna complain about the halloweeny music in late You Can't Run because as I said that was just a straight up improvement from the Incubus theme from Silent Hill, but-- everything else has its proper soundtrack assigned by the creepypasta. Hide and Seek is a Genesis cover of 3 Black Noises from Sonic Adventure 2, which I can't really fault for being incorrect because that wasn't made clear at all from the original creepypasta and not even the fangame got it right, but then there's the data select being reversed Caverns of Winters from EarthBound- absent here. And then there's Giygas Stirs during early You Can't Run- also from EarthBound- again, absent here. And its not just track choices either, it's the timings as well. Hill fades out at the wrong time. ... cuts out incorrectly, which is probably because it doesn't even loop. The one thing it does better aside from aforementioned halloween music is the drowning theme. The way it gets bitcrushed and lingers at the last note feels just a tiny bit more unique and interesting. Still, overall, the music is annoyingly incorrect at times, which is weird when this of all things was literally almost perfected over a decade ago. Smaller nitpick to add on to this negative paragraph, but the names beside the life counter changing to the victims, although a nice concept to communicate to the audience that these are actually souls reshaped into their favorite Sonic characters considering despite it literally being canon, it was not communicated to the audience at ALL that this was the case originally, and would remain that way until it was confirmed in the sequel, the names- or at least one of them- is just downright incorrect. Knuckles. His name changes to dave, when it should be Kyle. Though, this is something I really can't blame anyone for ever getting wrong, the detail of these not actually being the characters they look like is already a deep cut in and of itself, but knowing that according to the 2017 rewrite of Sonic.EXE, Knuckles is in fact Kyle Scott, the "friend" Tom talks about in the original story, is an infinitely deeper cut that absolutely no one can be judged for missing at the end of the day. I haven't met a single person who's actually sat down and read through that rewrite- hell, I haven't even met anyone who's even heard of its existence. The spritework especially is remarkable. Even in sprites where Sonic could easily be slightly edited to have those iconic spooky eyes, the artist(s) went the extra mile and altered his sprites even further to make him match with the "hyperrealistic" shape his head takes on at the end, and they even gave him gray shoes a la his original design. They also made all four characters consistently follow the Sonic 3 sprite style, which while less visually appealing than the Sonic 1/CD and Sonic 2 style, fits the uncanny feeling a little better and is definitely easier to animate and display expression on, which is crucial for faithfully recreating the story. And I mean, how can you complain about Sonic.EXE taunting Knuckles with that childish donkey ears gesture? That's right, you can't. Overall, being judged as a remake, this isn't it. The creative liberties would be fine if it didn't also gain inaccuracies that the original game adaptation of the creepypasta never had, but at the same time it also fixes a lot of the inaccuracies said original adaptation had. Sadly, it's just too different and just ever so slightly off in too many ways. However, that doesn't mean it's bad. As a remake, it is, but as a remaster, or at the very least a retake, it does an absolutely fantastic job- though if it were to be looked at through that lens, it could also have room to change even more. This game can't seem to decide whether it wants to be unique or faithful, and that failure to commit to either side kind of drags it down because no matter which side you look at it from, it could be better. But ignoring that, it's still undeniably really, really well done despite these few flaws. Definitely one of the better takes on the story while still remaining faithful to it.
This remake brings me back the trauma I had with Sonic.exe. The expressions of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Robotnik and of course the I Am God part is amazing. The way the game remplace your background for Sonic's face is good. Nice work
I gotta say, I REALLY like the additional sprite work done here. It definitely feels like a fully fleshed out project, even if it is such a short experience.
Everything about this game is LEAGUES beyond the original. Every victim is brought to their wits end before being finished off, the backgrounds are amazing, the tension isn't brought in by cheap loud noises, and the demon writing "I am God" ON YOUR SCREEN is a fantastic way to send it off. I wish this was the original. I genuinely do.
Admittedly the creepypasta itself was substandard, but the original game was nothing short of bone chilling and nerve wracking. This? This is that, but exponentially better. Cleaned up, looking great, and a lot more disturbing. Well done.
It would make sense if it was cuz he has grey shoes and it might take place years later when his vessal starts rotting and his shoes start turning darker and he decides to revive Alan because he's bored we never know
Dude this is sick! Game itself is kinda basic but not lazy at 0:48 all and faithful to original. And GOD the .EXE art and dead corpses of the trio is SO WELL MADE! Great overall!
I love it, it adapts so much to the original but giving it a much, much, more polished quality than the original game, almost like an omt merged with pc port, good gameplay 👍
The creepypasta is still bad, no way around it, but the execution of it in here is very commendable, to say the least, well done. The definitive way of experiencing this creepypasta
I remember the original gave me nightmares as a young kid but that’s just because we were young and out minds were less developed seemingly giving way to things we could never forget in our nightmares..specifically this!
the creators of this remake really cared about their job and made a good one. Proof? The small details, at 12:27 when Sonic.exe writes his iconic line after switching to a hyper realistic style, you can hear the noise of sliding fingers over glass, like if he’s literally on the other side of the screen watching you.
12:26 this is by far the best and true way to play Sonic.EXE, I really love how he’s actually hyper realistic this time around and that he writes the “I AM GOD.” Himself. His new laugh is also so cool, it’s very unique to him now rather than just the Kefka laugh we’re all used to. I honestly love how everything is unique now even to the music. Like the Knuckles segment doesn’t use “My Heaven.” From Silent Hill and actually uses its own original music. Everything about this remake is just so much more better than its original counterpart.
Even as a kid I found this pasta kinda silly. But the one thing that did mess with me was how in the original story the characters were described as so animated and expressive in their fear and repulsion. I always felt the OG game didn't accomplish this very well. This looks a lot more like I imagined it in my head.
honestly, great recreation for an 2011 creepypasta with an fangame to make this possible, and ive played this right before these gameplays popped in youtube theres even a hill, in a hill
I like the remade sonic.exe sprites, makes him look like lord x which is kind of funny. Plus this scene 12:26 right there is the best way to adapt the "I AM GOD" message while breaking that little fourth wall honestly it's just soo cool this remake is mostly cool but a little spooky if you have a weak heart to it, the souls how they're shown to be dead now is honestly more nicer than the older 2011 fangame about the creepypasta
in the lord x canon, og sonic.exe is just a younger version of him, because the sonic vessel rots over time, making lord x look more putrid than og exe
I was scared of the original game back in like 2012-2013 (to be fair I was like 9-10 at the time), but a couple years later I grew out of being scared of it because in the end, it was really just some cheap ROM hack with poorly edited gore and "blood" that looked more like someone spilled ketchup everywhere. However, this version actually managed to send chills down my spine, if the original game had been this way in 2012 I would've been scarred for life. The dead tails portrait actually unnerved me, if I had seen that in 2012-2013, god knows how many sleepless nights I would've had. Great job to everyone who worked on this!
a huge round of applause, to the guy who cooked this tremendous remake. Son of a bitch, I didn't think the screamer at the end was going to be like that and I had planned it, but not that way. The tension that existed at each moment was horrible. Something that I think I would have liked is that when he writes 'on the screen' I am god. I would have been encouraged. But still anyway, I can't wait for people like LuigiKid or Markiplier to play this.
Actually real scary awesome remake. The animations are clean and the filters keeps the game immersed. Good ideas placed in many scenes and details on characters have been perfectly added. Honestly in a video game stand point it is : Linear gameplay but it doesn't matter, It's a story based game and it is corresponding to its original material. It's a 10/10 for me.
impressive stuff here! it for sure takes creative liberties here and there but hey, the original game adaptation did too. even if the original story is objectively terrible, i always find it nice to see love for my childhood nightmare in an era where many keep trying to replace him
I really like how sonic.exe isn’t presented as some deviantart-tier but edgelord, but more as a sinister and benevolent demon. Not in the way that he’s absolutely horrifying, but that he messes with the characters before finishing them off and making sure they know they’re powerless against him, like he’s playing with his food. I think the most obvious sign of this is the scene where knuckles fights him, and sonic is mocking him before eventually just pushing him to the ground, ramming in the fact that nothing knuckles can do will affect him and he can effortlessly take everything away from him with a mere shove. I don’t think he’s particularly scary, despite the fact he is scarier than the original sonic.exe, but he is definitely more intriguing and threatening as an antagonist.
I am glad this doesn't use Kafka's laugh anymore. Having known FF IV before Sonic.exe it always felt weird to hear. In general I like that they do not use music and sounds of other games
The “I Am God” Part literally scared the living shit outta me, I couldn’t sleep after that night lmao, but I gotta say they definitely redeemed Sonic.Exe with this Remake
Seeing something that had me SO terrified as a kid in 2011 only to be so excited and happy about the art improvement + just better game design, really is a treat. Sonic fans have it rough sometimes but the fan creations really are the bright side.
The glory days of creepypastas. This was when we weren't so critical on these stories. Years ago, I barely even had any courage to even sleep with my bedroom windows open (I'm on the 2nd floor). It was because I was sure this demon was watching me when I look out the window. The red dots I mistaken his eyes for were just from a satellite tower. This was when exe and Jeff the killer and other creepypastas were, in our minds, the scariest things to exist. It wasn't just these youtubers who had their best times. In fact, they were part of the success the golden years had all around. As I write this, I am 17. You could guess what my childhood was in a nutshell. Edit: even though I watched youtubers play this game and listened to narrators read this story, I STILL felt it necessary to have my back up against the kitchen fridge on the first floor. That kinda fear can only be done by perfecting familiar montserous faces like this. I half miss being afraid of something that isn't real, and half expect these actions to happen.
Wow, this was a really well done remake! The overall presentation and coding is leaps better than the original project from back in the day. Well done! ....Now I wonder if someone would be up to remastering Super Robotnik Land from Dezzan. an absolute classic that deserves love.
When I was 5, I used to have nightmares about Sonic.EXE, as if he would break into my house and kill me or just haunt me. And honestly, I'm glad I found Sonic.EXE. This remake is one of my favorites, and I love the way that Sonic.EXE was shown here! 10/10 Remake.
I’ve never played a sonic game, so I’m not sure what exactly is going on. But I really enjoy the creepy music (which is the aspect that unsettles me the most!)& general unease. If I saw this when I was younger I would’ve been terrified! Great animation, please make more. I LOVE this this weirdcore type videos
Basically there was this sonic creepypasta named “sonic.exe” which is basically a demon possessing the game and turning it into a gore fest, eventually this awful creepypasta became very popular which attracted several imitators till it stopped being popular, nowadays that creepypasta came back to popularity but this time reimagined by those who played the fan games and loved the creepypastas of .exe’s, this are remakes based on what we remembered how that creepypasta was “a hells escape controlled by a GOD” The fear and surprise in tails with our first meeting with the demon The impotence of Knuckles fighting a power far beyond he’s retconning Eggman’s paranoia for the omnipresent threat And Sonic.exe own god complex All reimagined just has WE (the people who saw this same creepypasta a decade ago) remember it
Interestingly the anxiety-ridden music is actually just reversed music from the original Sonic games OR just actual music from the games (like the intense chase music, which is the infamous "Drowning" music from the original games)
I am genuinely amazed by this. Whoever made this deserves an Award. You took the bad original creepypasta, and put a spin on it that made it actually genuinely creepy. The thing i loved the most was, instead of the annoying original scream, the death sounds are different depending on character and made to be more realistic death noises. That genuinely made my heart pound. I would say add a noise to eggmans death. Like chewing sounds or bones cracking under large teeth. Maybe slurping, since Sonic is eating him whole. That would have made his death more scary. Also make the last eggman stairway less long.. theres a limit to the endless spooky stairway trope.
Worse actually. Since he was running at speeds comparable to Sonic with his tails, his feet dangling below him hit the chunks of rock on the grass. He broke his leg in two because he was panicking and didn't lift his feet up. Ouch.
@Thepogozone Exactly, but his eyes are closed, he's not paying attention. See how his legs kinda dangle underneath him? They get caught on the brimstone.
Not a fan of Sonic.exe in general but I'll give this remake my praise for taking advantage of the sound to make for an actual unsettling experience. Somehow, the game works better if it has less stock scream sounds and focuses on gorey sound effects and detail. It still has the same edge but more subtlety is a good thing :) Congrats to whoever person or people made this, bc you somehow made this cringefest not completely suck
Wow holy shit someone actually made this scary again. Hopefully there's an update with more content for the third level though. Compared to the others, Robotnik was done dirty lol
It was actually there in the original creepypasta, the game made based on it just neglected to include it. It was always there, most people just never knew it.
2:46 the player isn’t the one who moves away from Sonic here by the way, tails does it automatically and you have to force him to walk up to Sonic which makes it so much more horrifying.

The reason why the earlier version is cringe because…
1. The creator of the early version was bad.
2. They didn’t had this many ideas like this one
Imagine that this version was the one that came out in 2013.
Absolutely not

I like how you can see sonic.exe's mouth smiling and opening the closer he gets to tails
Alan*
honestly, the sudden change of the green hill stage from nice and blooming (excluding the music of course) to unsettling as you encounter the dead animals works well, even in the original game, because no one was expecting it unless they read a creepypasta before playing. here it's even better since we can actually see tails' reaction when he sees the corpses. it is something that the original missed. you've done a great job on this remake
And maybe removing the curtains from Eggman’s level too, they aren’t really necessary and kinda just get in the way
OHHH he severes tails hamstringsss…thats why he couldnt move.
that makes way more sense than him suddenly breaking down and crying….
The curtains are from the original creepypasta btw
"its honesly incredible"
how is it incredible? hearing that feels very disturbing
if the black screen wasnt cutten out, then it would be honesly true nightmare fuel seeying what EXE is doing to alan and dave

This is a solid remake. Love the animation changes.
In Eggman's case, he is, quite literally, playing with his food.
I am glad this doesn't use Kafka's laugh anymore.
Having known FF IV before Sonic.exe it always felt weird to hear.

Eggman’s paranoia for the omnipresent threat
And Sonic.exe own god complex
All reimagined just has WE (the people who saw this same creepypasta a decade ago) remember it
Also this has nothing to do with sonic out of the characters
Interestingly the anxiety-ridden music is actually just reversed music from the original Sonic games OR just actual music from the games (like the intense chase music, which is the infamous "Drowning" music from the original games)
Why is corrupted eggman straight up mr pringles
I like how The creator understood what made game scary and decided to make horrible creepypasta into a masterpiece.
Loving the animations and the facial expressions. Tails has the best of these.
It was made the official co owner of sonic exe
4:45 wait, what happened there? Did he like twist his ankle
Yes I think so
his ankle wasn't twisted rather you can see blood
so sonic.exe just kinda BROKE it by almost dismembering it
Worse actually. Since he was running at speeds comparable to Sonic with his tails, his feet dangling below him hit the chunks of rock on the grass. He broke his leg in two because he was panicking and didn't lift his feet up.
Ouch.
@@madrabbitvideos3311 he’s flying when running
@Thepogozone Exactly, but his eyes are closed, he's not paying attention. See how his legs kinda dangle underneath him? They get caught on the brimstone.
Not a fan of Sonic.exe in general but I'll give this remake my praise for taking advantage of the sound to make for an actual unsettling experience. Somehow, the game works better if it has less stock scream sounds and focuses on gorey sound effects and detail. It still has the same edge but more subtlety is a good thing :)
Congrats to whoever person or people made this, bc you somehow made this cringefest not completely suck
I love tails looked at you thinking you did it
the animations and the sprites are so better than the original version
Scary or not, these fan games for EXE really show some impressive sprite work.
Wow holy shit someone actually made this scary again.
Hopefully there's an update with more content for the third level though. Compared to the others, Robotnik was done dirty lol
Sonic.exe: i am god
Doom slayer: (reloading his shotgun)
Oh man, this brings me back to 2017 when I first discovered Sonic.exe and legit had nightmares for weeks. :D
12:42 That jumpscare was really cool
damn this is really well made!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its like youre actually playing it!!!!
holy shit..... was that a hill....IN HILL ZONE?!1!!?!!?!!111/1
Indeed it twas
@@TheArkeon no way
It was actually there in the original creepypasta, the game made based on it just neglected to include it. It was always there, most people just never knew it.
Hill in hill best Level design

Sonic fr needs a chill pill
For anyone who is curious on what Easter Eggs and Secrets are in this game, here’s a link to that video

Thanks
I like how the victims name change
Tails: 0:24
Alan: 3:39
Knuckles: 5:35
Dave: 7:04
Eggman: 8:39
Paul: 11:23
Nice details
13:39 Sonic.EXE: READY FOR ANOTHER ROUND?
Sonic.exe: I AM GOD
Doomslayer: HOLD MY BFG
Kratos: MAKE IT DOUBLE
The Tails neck snap was so smooth it made me jump
2:46 the player isn’t the one who moves away from Sonic here by the way, tails does it automatically and you have to force him to walk up to Sonic which makes it so much more horrifying.
Oh wow
This is actually terrifying and visually amazing other than the cringe and cliche first one
I would most likely be traumatized
Finally one who actually has an exe instead of a deforming bloodlusted monster
11:15 Did you manually change your wallpaper to that or did the game change it itself?
Manually changed it
@@TheArkeon it would be scary as hell if the game changed it itself bruh
@@boomknuxiscuteI agree
Wow, creepy ass art style great stuff man.
