You see, all Rikas powers were all from Yuta. Rika vengeful spirit was only that strong, because Yuta had that insane potential. He basically unconsciously passed his jujutsu power to the soul of his friend/lover Rika when she died, so she became that powerful vengeful spirit. When he released the girl's soul by uncursing her, Yuta still has the power, because its HIS power after all. And so he can still manifest the shell of the vengeful spirit, with the same strenght, but without the girl's soul.
But who has all that cursed energy yuta or the new rika Cause whenever they talk about it they say the energy belongs to rika (when they said sukuna has twise the energy of rika)
1. Rika died. 2. Yuta has this gundam with amazing AI. 3. Yuta puts dead Rika in the gundam's cockpit. 4. Yuta realizes he's sick in the mind and finally buries Rika's corpse. 5. Yuta still have the gundam with the amazing AI.
"this rika is more of a shikigami related to yuta's ct" This makes a LOT of sense to me after reading the manga, and this was something I never realized. Good analysis.
This feel like the writer really wanting yuta to still have Rika so they had to make up something so he could. the reason why I say that is because rika is not weaker they don’t have a new personality it just “rika” and that the only change
Important to note as well that since the body and soul are practically the same thing in JJK, a being's physical form has the soul imprinted on it even if it's not really there which explains why "Rika" still somewhat acts like real Rika.
It is something like Zanpaktou Spirit in Bleach combined with the Reanimation Jutsu from Naruto or a holocron persona from Star Wars. Rika-soul is in the afterlife, but there is a copy, or extension of her cursed-spirit-persona imprinted on Okkotsu.
The way I interpreted it was that the real Rika left behind her residual shell along with the obsessive emotions we've seen from her. Kind of like how cursed spirits are born from negative emotions.
@@speedyspeed8178 The power difference isn't confirmed but without Rika's soul, Yuta could only fully manifest "Rika" for 5 minutes (per day or per fight? unsure about this part). Whereas in JJK0 he could just fully manifest her whenever.
Short story shorter: When Rika died yuta’s negative energy created a curse, he also unknowingly put Rika’s soul into said curse. After JJK0 he released rikas soul leaving just the curse (Whom Yuta happens to still call Rika)
Essentially, whatever the curse added on top of Rika's human soul stayed, after the human soul left. Her human soul passed on, but the rest of the curse with all its powers and own twisted identity etc, stayed. I like to think of it a risidual cursed energy that was too powerful to just "disappear" when Rika's human soul passed, it was way too powerful with it already being a special grade curse. It had already formed an identity and !any other things, Rika's death and soul was just the catalyst for the curse to be born, and unless a curse is exercised, it'll stay. Sending on Rika's human soul just detached her from the curse, but by that point, the curse was too powerful to be affected by it to much of a capacity. Detaching a soul is not the same as exercising a curse, so, it makes a lot of sense. Curses are born due to many different things and can house many souls, or, have no souls at all. Simply removing one things from such a powerful special grade curse would probably just make it easier to control seeing as there isn't a human soul inside it. In all fairness, it's more like a a curse was born from a human soul, then the two got stuck together, then later on, they were both separated, almost like the human soul acted as a host for the curse to manifest itself, until the curse didn't need it to exist anymore. That's how I see it, at least.
Basically Cursed Spirit Rika is a living cage and Rika's Soul was trapped inside when she died when Yuta accidentally cursed her. When the bird was free'd (Rika's Soul finally passed on), the living cage still remained, just isn't holding anyone hostage anymore.
the soul and the cage were Rika, the two things were one until Rika passed on, leaving the cage behind. The cage had been Rika for so long that it still acts like Rika even though it has no soul.
The special grade cursed apparition (which is different from a cursed spirit because it's an actual person not a mass of energy that gained something that resembles sentience) Rika Orimoto was freed/exorcised/whatever at the end of volume zero. However "Rika" is a shikigami created by Yutas cursed technique "Copy". The shikigami functionally fulfils the role that Rika Orimoto had in the movie/manga as the sort of buffer that allows Yuta to have a bunch of different techniques as well as a storage medium for a cavalcade of powerful cursed tools Yuta has acquired or made to resemble cursed techniques (think the microphone that used cursed speech)

The culling game is a mandatory death match that all sorcerers had to participate in. If they refused, they died. During this arc, Kenjaku reincarnated a bunch of sorcerers who he had met during his previous lives. This game had multiple colonies that the fight would take place in. Any non sorcerers are given one chance to get out of the colony if they were in that area before the games started. The goal of the protagonist on this arc was to try to get out of the culling games by adding rules. You can add a rule when you have 100 points but the rule must not affect the game in a massive way, basically since the main goal was to accumulate lots of CE, the rules must not affect this goal. They want to get out of the culling games so they can stop Kenjaku.
From what I remember, the main goal of the protagonists is to stop the culling games with two smaller objectives to get first, one is to save Megumi’s sister and the other is to release Gojo. To save megumi’s sister they have to convince people with 100 points (Higuruma, Kashimo) to make a few new rules to make it possible to save her without having to kill other sorcerers. To save Gojo they have to find angel who can release the seal. They basically split teams, one to protect Tengen, another to find Kashimo, another finds Higuruma, okkotsu was soloing a whole colony, others were doing others things.
The original Rika spirit was made of two parts... the shackled soul of Orimoto Rika, being used as a medium for a "binding vow", and Yuta's own jujutsu potential. By having a "living" soul serving as core for his power Rika became the recipient of his power, with certain consequences, she was unruly, acting only on the directive of "protecting" Yuta, but as a shackled soul with powers made from negative energy her reactions were... excessive, which cause Yuta's situation before entering Jujutsu High. After he unravels the "knots" of curses he unconsciously imposed on Rika's soul, she was freed, and what was left is just his own power that was "molded" on top of Rika's soul. "Rika" is just Yuta's power now, but without the "binding vow" of keeping his childhood friend she doesnt have the practically unlimited reserves of juryoku, and he normally can only materialize "her" incompletely unless he uses his ring as a "focus". His ring, that was a gift from Rika serves as a way to connect the remnants of what Rika was capable before, but with a time limit of five minutes. This shows that despite Yuta being extremely powerful, his power is still "immature", because of how Rika was for most of her existence formed around another's soul, you could say that Yuta didn't reintegrate her into himself still, if it is even possible or if he even wants it. One way or another, i think that Yuta's way to become more powerful is for him to explore the lingering remnants or Rika in "Rika" and how those connect to his own power. Just to finish... Yuta's jutsushiki, his ability, is Mimicry... he can copy abilities, but such an ability has to have a lot of restrictions (going by how jujutsu works), but "Rika" is kinda his way of cheating those restriction, "she" is an extension ability of his natural power, not what "she" was before, but still exceedingly powerful. There is another person that has this exact same condition (albeit with differences), but it is kinda a "minor" spoiler for anime only, so i will just say... she appeared in the second season.
I personally would like to think "rika" as a CT of Yuta. So basically Yuta has the ability to create cursed spirits like "rika" but probably needs a human soul to do so. Just like Geto was able to store curse spirits i think Yuta can create them. So he probably made such a cursed vessel and put rika's soul in it in an attempt to save her.
Take note, idk if you are aware but spoilers later in the manga, if you die as you are cursed by someone you become a cursed spirit. Rika is I think a special case where the curse and cursed energy of rika was from Yuta. What makes it special is the curse was to bind each other by love/marriage, thus she is bound to Yuta. Yuta doesn't really make Curses / Shikigami, his cursed technique just copies CT from other people and is able to use them. TLDR: Rika is a curse spirit that bound to yuta. She was cursed by yuta. Yuta CT = Copies CT of others.
Jjk 0 is the only piece of media (book, movie etc.) i had no idea who yuta was before watching 0 but man when a story hits so close to my heart it really has made him my favorite character.
I kinda figured it was like RvB when Epsilon "summons" the other AI fragments, but it's really just him recreating the memory of them so he has someone to talk to.
So... its like Yuta's curse created a cursed spirit that had a body and a spirit/curse that kinda held the soul of the real Rika hostage until she was able to pass on?
The human Rika left, but left behind every aspect of "Rika" as a cursed Spirit. He has to house her in his ring and bring a partial amount or ALL of her out.
I have got a theory, since yuta placed a curse on rika and later became queen of curses. I have a strange theory what if at one point in the battle against sukuna, yuta places a curse on yuji to save him like when he did to rika and that's when we might witness a bigger power up on yuji
bro really fucking called them childhood friends when she literally gave him a ring and they were going to get married in fact, we literally see in one of his later fights that the ring is an essential part of this whole operation where its a subconscious tap to his power or the interface for the thing Rika left him also i like to think that the actual Rika is still watching him from the afterlife
Honestly this was pretty clear cut in the manga, just lots of readers lack comprehension skills and are used to info being spoonfed and simplified that most other popular Shonen do
Actually it's because Yuta's cursed technique allows him to copy other cursed techniques. He copied Geto's cursed spirit manipulation technique in order to keep the Rika cursed spirit while allowing her human spirit to pass on. The Rika cursed spirit technique is the ability to store the technique's he copies which he can access using cursed spirit manipulation.
I think because Yuta was the one who cursed Rika, the curse he made was left behind. This leaved a shell that acts, feels, and talks like Rika, but isn't actually Rika since she's dead.
I always thought it was self-explanatory. Human Rika became a curse because of Yuta and the human Rika dies, but that cursed manifestation still remains as sort of an extension of Yuta.
I hate this because the whole rika super powers and then her passing on felt like it had finality to it. Her coming back as a stand power feels like a cheapass cop-out :(
EASY rika is a husk the soul of rika left BUT rika is still around as a curse its just that she doesnt have a mind and a soul she is just a weapon now just like megumi's shikigami they arent like animals but they still somewhat are but in rikas case she was a human and now she is nothing more than ashikigami
Basically a Shikigami created by Yuta based on Rika Orimoto's Mold that basically is Toji's Inventory CS but for techniques Yuta copied and can actually fight.
I'm not gonna watch this video, just post this comment. The pure love beam gave up Rika's soul, not her cursed energy, as she has infinite cursed energy. Rather, she can still manifest as a cursed spirit, she's just no longer the original Rika, but a cursed spirit. I think.
I remember the manga also saying something about a ring that he needed to keep on to keep his connection with this "rika" something like that or is that something different?
could u explain how cursed tools work , are they created by heavenly pacts/ restriction too ? This question popped in my head when mai made maki the replica of the same demon sword toji once used even though she never saw it, huh ?
another question, didn't yuta has made a vow in jjk 0 where he propose his life so rika can be on her full potential, how can he still alive? doesnt vow in jjk is an important concept even sukuna didn't break his vow (correct me if im wrong)
I agree with this theory for the most part, but I think the quotes in "Rika," is more to highlight the name of Yuta's technique, not to allude to the fact that this Rika isn't the real one. The manga has put quotes on other technique names when explaining them, which is why I think that's the case/
So, can he summon the Curse, lets say the "monster Rika". And if yes, does it look the same and has the saem strengh and abilities? Or is it just like a voice in his head now, which gives him a buff or so. I didnot really understand.
u guys are just explaining im just gonna say this yuta had found that he had like this copy paste ability no joking i swear and he copied the rika i mean in s2 rika is like shikigami rn
Should have kept Rika tbh. Bro gave up a nuclear reactor of cursed energy and he just dived nose first into a bloody war where the enemy has the upper hand.
nah tbh jjk making up powers up everytime just for shock factor and plot. Like dude got slashed in half(gojo) by toji but hey suddenly we have reverse curse technique! Basically what im saying is the story and anime entirely is good but dude im telling u the author make a lot of shit up for plot, shock factor and powerups

Yeah it’s kinda like a heavenly pact I think kinda like maki and mai have yuta indirectly caused it
That's kind of how I understood it and you said it better and will be the explanation I choose to run with as we go forward.
Even kenjaku made the error of assuming Rika was the reason for Yutas feats in jjk 0 which I think is because he's going based off geto memories.
@@lm4733 nah, kenjaku knows yuta himself has a whole bunch of cursed energy and can copy, he still doesn't see yuta as impressive.

Honestly this was pretty clear cut in the manga, just lots of readers lack comprehension skills and are used to info being spoonfed and simplified that most other popular Shonen do
Man rika was a terrifying little child this is prob for the best
Actually it's because Yuta's cursed technique allows him to copy other cursed techniques. He copied Geto's cursed spirit manipulation technique in order to keep the Rika cursed spirit while allowing her human spirit to pass on. The Rika cursed spirit technique is the ability to store the technique's he copies which he can access using cursed spirit manipulation.
She left behind her will
I think because Yuta was the one who cursed Rika, the curse he made was left behind. This leaved a shell that acts, feels, and talks like Rika, but isn't actually Rika since she's dead.
Basically a curse Rika without Rika soul is left behind for Yuta
thank you so much !
they are not best friends they are sweethearts cmon man
In a way, it's a hyper-intelligent Shikigami.
So this new Rika is a spirit-energy vessel for human souls that is now on auto-pilot with GTP-6. Neat!
Fun fact rika was called queen of the curses
So Yuta made Rika into Rika, and then Rika left “Rika” to Yuta.
So basically, this rika is a STAND but without the original Rika's soul
so 'rika' is a walking talking battery(CE) that can store stuff "cursed technique", that rike left behind
I always thought it was self-explanatory. Human Rika became a curse because of Yuta and the human Rika dies, but that cursed manifestation still remains as sort of an extension of Yuta.
damn, I will be missing that inloved ‘rika’
Old rika has a soul and body
New rika doesnt have a soul but the body is still ok
Ah yes, the trinity of spirit
yuta: come out mah Rigga
the current rika is a curse generated by yutas ct, unlike the old rika who was a cursed spirit
you find it out in the manga later on btw
Essentially he has a copy of that cursed spirit
glad to see junpei
Okkotsu also get slight nerfed with rika being able to be activated only for 5 minutes now
It's also because once a cursed spirit reaches special grade, it can't pe purified or destroyed anymore, just sealed
what😂
Hanami, Jogo, Mahito and Dagon were all special grades.
That only applies to the 3 vengeful spirits
Rika's Soul Died
Rika the Curse is still in Yuta
Everyone complicating things. My boy got a stand now. He just needs to learn how to stop time and he's #1
In short soul of rika orimoto is gone and what left is queen of curses rika chan ❤❤
i was confused after ssn 2 sooo yeah i thought gege regreted making rika uncursed and laughed he just added her again but turns out no lol
I hate this because the whole rika super powers and then her passing on felt like it had finality to it. Her coming back as a stand power feels like a cheapass cop-out :(
EASY
rika is a husk
the soul of rika left
BUT rika is still around as a curse
its just that she doesnt have a mind and a soul
she is just a weapon now just like megumi's shikigami they arent like animals but they still somewhat are
but in rikas case she was a human and now she is nothing more than ashikigami
old rika was busted but they nerfed her so she only holds his cursed energy and can copy stuff “spoilers”
what if yuta cursed gojo in a similar way but rika has to finally pass on before yuta can summon him
A wizard dit it, next question
This is how I approach this anime tbh
JJK ONLY ANIME WHERE MY FAVORITE CHARACTER KEEP SWITCHING GOJO YUTA MEGUMI TOJI YUTA TOJI YUTA SUKUNA MAHO DAMN
Is rika like a shikigami or is it storing his abilities or smth
i think rika is a mix of a shikigami and tojis inventory but it also stores techniques
It's a shikigami that can storage objects and techniques
Just think of it like toji with inventory
Basically a Shikigami created by Yuta based on Rika Orimoto's Mold that basically is Toji's Inventory CS but for techniques Yuta copied and can actually fight.
Rika divorced yuta and left the kid ("rika") with yuta
I'm not gonna watch this video, just post this comment. The pure love beam gave up Rika's soul, not her cursed energy, as she has infinite cursed energy. Rather, she can still manifest as a cursed spirit, she's just no longer the original Rika, but a cursed spirit. I think.
In this case can yuta create more special grade curse spirits?? That would be 10 times better than what geto actually do lol
So it's like "taming" a vengeful cursed spirit?
omg junpei is back!
So the current Rika is just basically Chat-GPT type AI that learned everything from the original Curse Rika and is just faking it. Got it.
I remember the manga also saying something about a ring that he needed to keep on to keep his connection with this "rika" something like that or is that something different?
Bro did NOT pay attention to the movie💀
Sounds like you didn't read the manga
Lmao i though 'rika' is original curse spirit from yuta's skill set that he accidently merged to his rika
could u explain how cursed tools work , are they created by heavenly pacts/ restriction too ? This question popped in my head when mai made maki the replica of the same demon sword toji once used even though she never saw it, huh ?
I was wondering how, thanks
another question, didn't yuta has made a vow in jjk 0 where he propose his life so rika can be on her full potential, how can he still alive? doesnt vow in jjk is an important concept even sukuna didn't break his vow (correct me if im wrong)
where do jujutsu high gets fund for their operations?
NOT complicated at all😑
But thank you very much for trying
I agree with this theory for the most part, but I think the quotes in "Rika," is more to highlight the name of Yuta's technique, not to allude to the fact that this Rika isn't the real one. The manga has put quotes on other technique names when explaining them, which is why I think that's the case/
He just does
What is grief, if not love persevering?
Imagine the Rika is yuta’s copied version of the old one using his copy technique??
Yuta doesn’t have rika it’s his cursed technique
Basically retcon
Does this Rika have the same power with old Rika?
So this rika is just a backup copy from yutas technique
Real answer? Gege didn't think it through when he wrote zero and thus, we got a bullshit excuse like this.
So, can he summon the Curse, lets say the "monster Rika". And if yes, does it look the same and has the saem strengh and abilities? Or is it just like a voice in his head now, which gives him a buff or so. I didnot really understand.
Yuta can copy other cursed techniques with his cursed technique. He could have copied Rika before she passed on.
Rika isn't Cursed Technique she was a Vengeful Cursed Spirit tho....
Maybe I'm wrong, idk
does this mean that vengeful cursed idk rika is stronger than "rika"???????????? What are the logistics of them?
u guys are just explaining im just gonna say this yuta had found that he had like this copy paste ability no joking i swear and he copied the rika i mean in s2 rika is like shikigami rn
So rika the curse still exists but rika’s soul is gone?
so does it mean the new rika is weaker that the old rika or just the same?
New Rika is definitely weaker than og Rika.
Yuta is a stand user
Should have kept Rika tbh. Bro gave up a nuclear reactor of cursed energy and he just dived nose first into a bloody war where the enemy has the upper hand.
Bro let the girl rest
@@luqmanfariswan4024 nu
bro has a heart and let the poor girls soul rest. his fights are his problems
I mean the rika shell still indeed has a fuck ton of cursed energy.
samsaraslight837 looks at manga. Nah hes doing fine even better without her. Bro really 1v4 and won
nah tbh jjk making up powers up everytime just for shock factor and plot. Like dude got slashed in half(gojo) by toji but hey suddenly we have reverse curse technique! Basically what im saying is the story and anime entirely is good but dude im telling u the author make a lot of shit up for plot, shock factor and powerups
Is she on the same power level as the og Rika?
you could of made this a 4 second video
How's geto still around didn't he gets packed up? ...nevermind it's probably kj
