About the Festival
Established in 1987, Melbourne International Comedy Festival (#MICF) is one of the three largest comedy festivals in the world, alongside Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Montreal's Just for Laughs Festival.
Over the last week of March and into April every year, #MICF transforms Melbourne into the comedy capital of the world, as local and international comedians take to theatres, pubs, clubs and broom cupboards citywide - shining a spotlight on the silly, the serious, the heart-breaking and the hilarious.
Filming hours of comedy content every Festival, this channel delivers some of the highlights over the years. Delve into the archive of comedy with international stars (such as: Katherine Ryan, Michael Che, Sara Pascoe, Trevor Noah) and home-grown #aussiecomedy heroes (including: Hannah Gadsby, Josh Thomas, Aunty Donna, Ronny Chieng) and so many more! It's weird seeing like 3 audience members in the whole room but Rhys' comedic energy makes up for it.
Also “Skin Pig" was freaking hilarious 😂
I’m watching Rhys on Drag Race and thought I’d do a bit of research on him. This set is actually pretty good......
What a backhanded complement…
How awesome would it be to actually have an apocalypse themed wedding.
Skin pig...This gentleman is brilliant!
This is so good. Weird audience. I loved the fast pace flow in the third act followed by staccato like breaks.
I fell in love with him in The Imperfects and now seeing all of this comedy.... wow I'm hyped
lol! I'm Christine! Right down to the tight ponytail!
Drinking like Jonestown 🤣
I missed Rhys and his comedy so much!!
First time I have seen him😁 he's great! I lpve his mind and where it goes! Speaks my language. 👍🤩😍💯🤓
I've never heard of him until the show "The Imperfects," and his character's quirkiness made me look into him and now, it's just a joy to see more of him!
I love Rhys, very insightful comic
Amazing as always Rhys
Thank you...you are brilliantly funny
I've just found my new celebrity crush!
Wish I could go see him live!
I saw him a couple years ago and he was great!
I like this guy 😂😂😂
I'm stealing "I'm still waiting for my gender reveal party"!
Many Thanks for bringing Light to my Darkness!
That was a funny set :)
I repeated year 1 too 😂.
Skin pkg. Bahaha
This guy is funny
Total natural.
Hilarious as judge on RPDR Down Under. Rhys' delivery is better here compared to sets from previous years. The lisp isn't as intrusive and he's not talking as fast; more conversational, less manic. He seems to trust the material more.
He's so flippin' funny- the pandemic audience was really weak. He didn't get the laughs he deserved.
It might be bc (it seems like) there are only about 10 people in the room for social distancing
@@rainbomg Totally makes sense. Been a long time since I wrote this,.not sure if I was aware of the timeline but that would make a lot of sense. Cheers! 😊
@@vidalovecraft2903 I only noticed bc I saw your comment and wanted to see the jergoffs that weren’t laughing enough, and then I was like, oh, woah, there’s nobody in that room! lolz, ciao! 🤓
@@rainbomg Gosh, I know that feeling. It's the same with bad drivers or people with hateful bumper stickers on their cars. I just wanna get beside them, just got a second, so I can see their crap-lousy faces, presumably to store in my mental catalog of awful people if I perchance upon them in public later. 😄
@@vidalovecraft2903 and every time, we’re like- “I _knew_ it!” 🤨whenever we do see their crap lousy faces bc somehow they look exactly how we thought we were thinking they’d look 😆
Here to check this guy out after being announced as Ru Paul judge...
God this is funny
I truly love Rhys’ work, but I’m actually genuinely confused by his having an aneurysm bit, and also did he end with ‘enjoy the rest of your lives’ or was it night? Kuz I thought I heard lives...
he always makes a joke like that if he messes up words. i've seen him say the same thing, but instead he makes a joke about having a stroke
it's less of a bit than a comedic way to acknowledge he tripped over his words
@@offtheleashman ahhh thanks for that-that adds up a lot better for me now.
More Rhys and less shite comedy
Algorithm
Okay normalise talking about babies like dogs!
He looks like a young Bobby Flay, but gay
Other than begin ginger, I do not see any resemblance O_o
It is so brave of him to allow this to be put on the internet.
They
Very ordinary
That's a sad audience
You don't want kids Rhys? At least you have a good excuse! Feel for us who do EVERYTHING right (including having the "RIGHT" sexuality and gender), but just don't feel the need to have children. It's a freakin' lonely place. So thanks so much for the laughs xx ooo
