@Stevemcsteve Actually, it's because bands like Five Finger Death Punch represent a form a music and melody that a large portion of people actually enjoy listening to, while bands like Daath here only cater to the tiny portions of people who actually enjoy listening to the clanging sound of too much double bass mixed with somebody choking out words because he could afford singing lessons.
I love DAATH. I cannot wait for this new ablum to come out it is going to kick huge amouts of ass. You all owe it your selfs to buy this album on the frist day it comes out. I know I will.
@666LadyVerona they have 3 albums uptil now: Futility(2005), the Hinderers(2007) and the Concealers(2009). The two old ones were more Industrial Death, whereas this one is heavier, based more on the guitars than electronis sounds( except Of poisoned sorrows that sounds more like the old ones). but honestly, i like all of them, and it's still Daath, with their mysterious and distressing atmosphere that make them quite special ^^
These guys are so fucking amazing... usually in every music video you have people declaring what genre the band is. Daath is one of the harder ones, it has a melodeath base, but with added technical bits and a unique vocal style. Either way, just appreciate the greatness of this band.

The guitar player gives lessons on jamplay.com and is an incredible guitar player. Thats how I found out about this band and now I'm hooked. Fucking awesome!
the hinderers was a really good album what are you on about mate. It sounded nothing like C.O.F which is a reason why it was good. This album is also kick ass :)
see, i think we can all agree that, the gutar riffs and solos are brutal, and that the double bass drums are orgasmic, but alot of people have a problem with the singer, i think hes pretty good though
I love the new vocals, they haven`t changed all that much. It sounds grittier, more acoustic, and lower pitched which I like. At least there are some pitch variations.
Yeah Daath needs to get more out there.. I've gotten all my metal head mates into it jsut by playing it when they come around. some of them even started learnign songs. subterfuge was one of them. but this band fucking! Reccommended to all! I love their music as much as i love santana! and Santana is my idol!
Even if they don't get to the top of the charts, I'm sure Daath is happy, they're living off of just playing music, I myself couldn't ask for more if I was in their position. Plus, they get to boast that they can play every one of 5FDP's songs, but 5FDP probably can't play all of theirs. :)
@Stevemcsteve five finger death punch is a super group. a super group is a band formed of famous band member of other famous bands. for example: ivan moody (the vocalist) was the vocalist of motograter and some of the other band members have played along side and in bands such as alice cooper and w.a.s.p. 5fdp is famous for a reason. they have a lot of talent but their songwriting and composure is lacking half of the time but they do have songs that definitely deserve respect and downloads

I think certain Akercocke tracks get kind of creepy. But I know what you mean, his note choices give the riffs that certain signature Daath sound that makes them the different kind of metal band I love
to get big, all you need is catchy tunes. and as catchy as this is to me, and probably you, and the rest of us listening to this, most people don't want something so technical. have you ever seen a casual metal listener say, "OMG LISTEN TO THAT DRUM FILL!" most people just want a catchy song these days, nothing more than that. i can't explain what im trying to get to but you probably see my point aha five finger death punch may be metal, but theyre no different than lil wayne and all that junk

oh well thats on the other coast lol yeah im not too big of a fan of Dragon Force and i hadnt heard of Daath or the other band so i didnt get a ticket but my friends told me about Daath and theyre pretty sweet
i really appreciate the use of real drums on this album... to many metal bands now are using triggered bullshit and though it sounds alright, nothing beats the sound of real drums.. it's also a credit to the engineers and mixers on this album

I recently saw them live, and this was the only song I recognized by them. Kickass show they put on.
