This is the thing, the gospels are copied from personal letters that were sent to various churches of that age, when scripture was quoted within a letter, it would be from the memory of the disciple who would not have the torah available with them. so we are talking about a direct translation out of the two or three scripture sources that we all have access to vs. the memorized scripture of the disciple.

I sent my kids to Catholic school and I feel cheated. It was truly a sacrifice financially but that’s where my faith took me. My path was chosen to understand where I came from and to be able to connect to the TeNaK. My people live under the curses established in Deuteronomy 28 for the lack of keeping the law. Going back to the point of wanting a refund always cracks me up but is true. Hopefully Hashem helps me find the justice and gives me the peace of mind for the greater good of Israel. Blessed be Hashem forever.

A Gentile is permitted to learn Torah in a language he understands using a correct Jewish translation. I recommend the complete Jewish Bible with Rashi's commentary at the Chabad website. Also recommended are the Soncino Chumash and the Artscroll Complete Hebrew Bible in English. Note that Gentiles are not commanded to study the Five Books of Moses. They are obligated to study the 7 Noahide commandments only, and this obligatory learning is much more important than learning other parts of Torah.

You still have a Problem... Where is your Atonement for sins instituted at the Exodus?
Or was God wrong and there are no longer needed?
And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance "FOR EVER". (Exodus 12:14, KJV)
My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. (Psalm 89:34, KJV)
Read my entire post and answer to the scriptures.
      Time is short friend.
Eternity is a long time to be wrong.
Ask yourself, when was the last time you made Atonement for your Sins?
20 And he shall do with the bullock as he did with the bullock for a sin offering, so shall he do with this: and the priest shall make an atonement for them, and it shall be forgiven them. 21 And he shall carry forth the bullock without the camp, and burn him as he burned the first bullock: it [is] a sin offering for the congregation. (Leviticus 4:20-21, KJV)
25 And the priest shall make an atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it [is] ignorance: and they shall bring their offering, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD, and their sin offering before the LORD, for their ignorance: 26 And it shall be forgiven all the congregation of the children of Israel, and the stranger that sojourneth among them; seeing all the people [were] in ignorance. 27 And if any soul sin through ignorance, then he shall bring a she goat of the first year for a sin offering. 28 And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before the LORD, to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him. (Numbers 15:25-28, KJV)
What will happen in the day of Judgement?
Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by [that] man whom he hath ordained; [whereof] he hath given assurance unto all [men], in that he hath raised him from the dead. (Acts 17:31, KJV)
Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death. (Proverbs 11:4, KJV)
Will you trust in your own Righteousness?
if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it. (Ezekiel 33:13, KJV)
Do you believe in that John the Baptist was a true prophet of God?
The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. (Isaiah 40:3, KJV)
What did John the Baptist Preached?
Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. (John 1:29, KJV)
Could Yeshuwah really be the Son of God? And if So, what does the Father say?
11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. 12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish [from] the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed [are] all they that put their trust in him. (Psalm 2:11-12, KJV)
God gave us Similitudes... But why?
I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets. (Hosea 12:10, KJV)
Abraham was to Sacrifice his Son
And he said, Take now thy son, thine only [son] Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. (Genesis 22:2, KJV)
      How will Messiah save us?
But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen. (Hosea 1:7, KJV)
      Will he Suffer?
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:4-5, KJV)
16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. 17 I may tell all my bones: they look [and] stare upon me. 18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture. (Psalm 22:16-18, KJV)
But does the Tanakh support this?
God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering (Genesis 22:8, KJV)
Messiah will be Cut off but not for himself, Bring an End to Sin and Iniquity and be Anointed most Holy
24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. 25 Know therefore and understand, [that] from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince [shall be] seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. 26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof [shall be] with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. (Daniel 9:24-26, KJV)
Who is the Lamb of God?
And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. (Revelation 5:6, KJV)
      What did Yeshua say?
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. (John 1:4-5, KJV)
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. (John 1:4-5, KJV)
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. (John 3:20-21, KJV)
And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; (Revelation 3:14, KJV)
And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb [is] the light thereof. (Revelation 21:23, KJV)
      Does the Tanakh support this?
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. (Genesis 1:3, KJV)
The Light was before the sun.
The Light was the Lamb of God.
Friend's, if you haven't already, Repent. Accept the Sacrifice that was made 2000 years ago at the Cross.
      Listen to this dire warning...
24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand ✝️, and no man regarded; 25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: 26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; 27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. 28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: 29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: 30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. 31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. 32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. 33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil. @A Sojourner Tanakh shows that Yeshua was just what the Prophets had foretold, the Visions that were given, and the Parallels that Occured.
God said he he Spoke to us by the Prophets, Multiplied Visions, and gave us Similitudes through the ministry of the Prophets (Hosea 12:10).

So.... this basically proves that a sacrifice is NOT capable of atoning for sin. As the Passover sacrifice is a celebratory sacrifice and a commandment, if you intentionally failed to bring it, only then have you committed a sin. And THEN - having committed the sin of intentionally not bringing the Passover celebratory sacrifice -- no subsequent sacrifice can be brought as atonement for that sin.
Wow. That is a DEVASTATING passage for Christianity! I never considered that. Thank you!

The translation of "olam" and the phrase "meme olam" (days of eternity/old, ancient days) is dependent on context. So for instance olam itself can be translated as "forever" as when God reveals His name to Moses. It is His name "forever" (English Bible Exodus 3:15). Again it clearly means "forever" in Exodus 15:18 (English) which is the length of God's reign. In other contexts, it does not have an eternal quality, but an old one like Genesis 6:4 (English). As to the phrase "meme olam" the translation is going to be dependent on the context and contextual cues as well. Since Christians believe Micah 5 speaks about the Messiah, they are going to go with not just "old" but "ancient" or even "days of eternity." Micah 7:14 is "days of old" because they are only talking about the blessing of past years as exemplified in the place that cows were feeding.

I want to thank you so much for what you're doing.
For years we were taught by Matthew in the New Testament that we will no longer be with our partners in Heaven. That idea comes from the Christian Bible, particularly Matthew 22:30, Mark 12:25 and Luke 20:35. I believe I was fooled by those passages. I knew that I was being fooled by the Christian Bible on the night that my wife read a verse to me from the Old Testament that brought me great comfort and even tears to my eyes.
On the night of June 9, 2013 my wife read this verse: Isaiah 65:20-25: "No longer will babies die when only a few days old. No longer will a man die before living a full life. No longer will people be considered old at one hundred! Only sinners will die that young. In those days, people will live in the houses they build and eat the fruit of their own vineyards. It will not be like the past, when invaders inhabited the houses and confiscated the vineyards. For my people will live as long as trees and long enjoy the works of their hands. They will not labor in vain and their children will not be doomed to misfortune. For they are people blessed by the Lord, and their children, too, will be blessed. I will answer them before they call to me, while they are still calling to me I will answer their prayers. The lion will lie down with the lamb, the wolf will eat straw like the ox. Poisonous snakes will strike no more. In those days, no one will be hurt or destroyed on my holy mountain. I, the Lord, have spoken!"
All my life I was taught in Christian churches that God's "reward" for his people was some surreal "heaven" where we stand on clouds and just sing and worship forever. We were taught that there will be no marriages or children or family life. We will just be "like angels" and be the "bride of Christ". When my wife read that verse it spoke to my heart that God will give us all of the things we long for... all of the things we were meant to have. He will give the lonely companionship, the broken-hearted a mate, the childless couples children. God designed us to have all of the things he meant for Adam and Eve to have, and he will not go back on that promise. Isaiah 65 says so!

    • @1234567mrbob
      @1234567mrbob 3 роки тому +1

I don't want to get into any "marriage in heaven" arguments with people who know nothing about my life, my history, my hurts, and all the things I have been through.
Some people never find a love partner. Some people fine somebody late in life. Other people marry and can't have children because the wife can't conceive. These people are all hurting, and they are all being told by their Christian pastors and ministers that they won't have those experiences in heaven. So, I don't want anyone telling me that I am a "fool" or presuming that I know nothing about scripture or saying that I probably don't even have a Bible at all (which is a ridiculous thing to say in an age when anyone can just Google it and read the Bible online!)
If I was comforted by a verse then that's between me and God. I'm not asking a question, but merely expressing my appreciation to a rabbi who has studied the New Testament and found issues with it. If there are issues with it, then maybe that's why people are being (falsely?) told that they won't experience "earthly" things in their next life. It was a comment, not a question, so I don't want any wise remarks from people telling me I don't know what I'm talking about.

The forward and introduction to the King James bible are seldom printed with the King James Bible. In it, the translators are honest about their panels having troubles. For example, you find the phrase "we have learned the Hebrew tongue in part". I would also add that Micah 5 can be found in the Septuagint. (Of course we do not really know how many versions of Micah existed at the time of the creation of the Septuagint). translators in England could read Micah much easier in Greek than they could in Micah in Hebrew.

      A healthy skepticism of authority:
      1. Look at Exodus. The Jews complain time and again, but are not always punished. They are NOT punished when they complain against Moses and Aaron. But they are when they complain against God or generally about reality. God does not do anything to the Jewish people when they criticize (even unjustifiably!) the greatest prophets ever.
      2. When the people want a king, prophet Samuel warns them against it.
      3. Even after they have a king, his power is heavily limited. See the story of King Achav (Ahab?) and his desire to expropriate the property of Navot. When Navot says, "No, thanks, king," all the king of Israel can do is cry about it.
      4. In the Talmud (several cases) it is clear that in a religious law dispute, even a voice from Heaven can have no weight in making the final decision. (The Torah itself tells us, "It is not in Heaven, nor is it [far away] over the sea...")
      That's my guess. WDYT?

By comparison the Christian community seems almost rabid in making a case that Jesus was God-come-to-Earth. I'm wondering if there is a quality in Judaic beliefs that restrains them. 3 And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:
4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
6 But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?
7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?
8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.
13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.
14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?

The Hebrew Bible and the Christian Old Testament contain passages that are deeply prophetic and profoundly significant.
Micah 5:2 speaks of a ruler from Bethlehem whose "origin is from of old, from ancient days." This phrase indicates a lineage that traces back through the ages, reflecting the Messiah’s eternal significance. Isaiah 9:6 proclaims, "For a child has been born for us, a son given to us...and he is named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace," emphasizing the divine and eternal nature of the Messiah.
Christian translations, such as the King James Version, often strive to convey the depth and breadth of these prophetic meanings. While linguistic nuances exist, the essence remains consistent: the prophesied ruler's origin is profound and eternal, aligning with the eternal nature of God as stated in Psalm 90:2, "From everlasting to everlasting you are God."
Thus, these translations are not merely interpretive choices but reflections of the scriptural portrayal of the Messiah’s timeless nature.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I bless you all!

Can you explain the hasidic way of dress and their hair style, and wearing wigs, I dont understand the different beliefs.

    • @sarukeshel6429
      @sarukeshel6429 3 роки тому +2

The Hasidic community follows a philosophy within Judaism based on a particular teacher that lived in the 1700's. The style of dress seeks to combine what Euopean Noblemaen wore in that time, with certain esoteric passages in yhe book of Zohar. This book is a book of Jewish mysticusm.
That particular style of dress is NOT inherent to the service of God!
A married woman covering her hair is an ancient practice, which id mentioned quite clearly in the Talmud. The details are somewhat argued about, with various Sages throughout the ages allowing or disallowing certain practices.

Wait Rabbi you said that the Micah phrase should read “the days of old” and that this is part of a prophecy that the Messiah will restore Israel to the days of old? So when were things ever so good for Israel that those days could begin to be comparable to the days of the Messianic Age, where there is no war and the earth will be covered with the knowledge of God?

It doesn't matter the exact translation of whether the born person to be from the old age or from the eternity, but it's IMPORTANT to know the MEANING of the verse, that he had already EXISTED sometime in the past and now appeared again.
Tovia Singer had to explain this phenomena of the person, how could it happen, who is he that had already bee preexisting in the past, and what happened in his birth , was he someone non human in the past who was incarnated into the human body, or it was a reincarnation of the previously existing someone ???
This is the core meaning of Micah 5: 1.!!!!
But instead of explaining this phenomena rab Tovia fooled everybody by distracting and luring everyone into a discussion about the "incorrect" translation!!!!

@Weston S You talk about infinity like you understand it. Tell me, if God is infinite, why does he need to sacrifice his son for the sins of man? If God is infinite, his attributes too are infinite, such as space, size, love, compassion, forgiveness. And if these attributes are not infinite, they are of a magnitude incomprehensible to man. Because man is finite. So according to Christians, the sins of man, were supposedly great enough, that God was incapable of forgiving them through his mercy?? And you believe that this God is infinite? A true infinite God has a reservoir of forgiveness and mercy so boundless, so unimaginably large, that no amount of sin, multiplied by orders upon orders of googolplex, could not be forgiven. Also don't bring up Jews need sacrifices to be forgiven. The OT clearly shows that they simply need to face Jerusalem, and truly in their heart confess to God their sin and change their ways, the method of forgiveness in Judaism is much more indicative of an infinite God, as compared to your notion of a sacrifice, which shows weakness.

    • @huighwong2069
      @huighwong2069 3 роки тому

@Weston S Imagine an infinite God needing an intermediary to forgive and listen to man, what heresy.

    • @huighwong2069
      @huighwong2069 3 роки тому

@Weston S "You believe that God's being is finite and limited" no child, we believe he is infinite, if anything, the God of Judaism and Islam is more exalted, and more boundless than the God(s) of Christianity, respond to my point on forgiveness. Your God is barely even exalted, even praised in the NT. Read the Quran and see how the true God is exalted. He is boundless, limitless, he can do anything by simply saying "be", and it is (kun fa ya kun). This being said, just because God can do anything, doesn't mean he needs partners, some things are underserving of the majesty of God. For example, while God can do anything, he can't be evil, he can't sin, and he can't die, even though he can do everything. Thus we come to the conclusion that while God can do anything, some things are not befitting of the majesty of God. Having partners (as if God needs anyone else, or any help) is not befitting of God, having a son who eats, goes to the toilet, has a naked body under clothes, was supposedly whipped, beaten, pierced, nailed, slandered, is not befitting of the majesty of God, in fact, that notion in itself degrades God, and is blasphemy in its highest form. What kind of wooden cross could ever hope to hold up a True God? The wood would crumble in shame before its maker, the Earth would disintegrate out of fear for having shamed its maker, the concept of a suffering God who sacrificed himself for salvation is pagan, and is repulsive to the majesty of God.

I have a couple of questions for Rabbi Singer:
    1) Have any words been added or subtracted from Micah 5:2? If so, which ones? If not is the translation offered in various renderings of Holy Scripture at least possible?
    2) The Septuagint , the Koine Greek rendering of Holy Scripture produced by faithful Jewish scholars before the time of Jesus Christ, interprets this verse as being "from the beginning of days of the age," i.e. from eternity. Any response?

@A Sojourner I am not a Christian. I agree with you. Still the NT is true although men made changes to the originals to make up this Roman gd called Jesus. Stole the words of the real one put it in the mouth of the fake one. I can't find fault with the real Jesus Yeshua. He obeyed the Torah. He spoke highly of Moses, the Prophets, and David. Yehoshua is a true Israelite.
