My wife passed away in April 2011. We were married almost 29 years. One time back in the 90s a young lady working in the meat department at a grocery store asked me if I was married 🙂Then she asked me how long I'd been married & when I told her 12years or whatever it was, she said ..."To the Same Woman? 🤣😂🤣 I said ... Well, Yeah... I Don't Think You Can Be Married to 1 woman for 3 years. Another woman for 5 years & another woman for 4yrs & say you've been married for 12 years 🤣😂 It doesn't quite work that way 😅
My folks were married for 79 years. My mom passed away a month shy of her 100th birthday and my dad just celebrated his 104th. Mom always had the last word and Dad used his selective hearing loss. 😀
I remember in the late ‘90s that Comedy Central would broadcast hour-long specials from popular comedians. Every time Henry Cho’s specials were on, the whole family gathered around. I wouldn’t hesitate to bring my husband’s 90yo grandmother to one of his shows.
I always admire the clear communication skillset. His intentions are easily understood even in the slightest of gestures. The biggest gesture is him always being entirely respectful. It surfaced as the "Sir and Ma'am" emerged through the marriage questions. It is easy to see why he has been successful so many years. The effort of getting to his shows are always such a pleasure. I stumbled on his name through a Tom Arnold movie "McAle's Navy". I knew the other comedians as my eyes and ears could not synch up the southern voice with the Korean appearance.
He was in an hilarious episode of Designing Women in the 80’s. Season 4 Episode 409, Julia and Suzanne’s big adventure. Prime Video. He was awesome in that episode.
Wow...that's a really long time. Some people don't even live to 50. Congratulations to them for their long marriage, and my condolences to the spouse who's alone now. I lost my husband 3 weeks short of my 36th anniversary. He suffered from brain aneurysm for 4 years.
Why did y'all have him die? He couldn't manage by himself or with his wife helping him? Just kidding but, one of our neighbors just died or passed away. Whichever is more to your liking. He and his wife were married for 72 years was the appropriate way to tell that story.
Hot diggity. It's been decades since I've seen Henry perform. I saw him when I was in college in the early 90s. Along with Margeret Cho and Ken Jeong, he was one of the few Asian standups back then.
Man, I forgot how long ago I came across you, and then I subscribed. I came on tonight and have watched/listened to several of your videos and they are all hysterical!!!! Thanks for the belly laughs! ❤
My paternal grandparents were married for at least 77 years. I don't know how they managed to stay together for the first 40. If Grandma had learned to drive, she would have parted ways with him.
You’ve mentioned your wife is smokin’ hot. I could only find 1 early picture of the 2 of you but based on that, I’d have to agree. You’re a lucky man and a happy one from what I can see. All the best to your family. 😁
25 years is the Silver Anniversary. When my parents celebrated that in 1979 my brother presented my parents with a magnificent silver, etched tray. When dad passed of cancer in 1989 he and mom had been married for 35 years. Mon didn’t remarry nor ever took her welded together wedding and engagement rings off and put them away. She just switched it to her right hand. Sadly I couldn’t drag my Michael down the aisle for his third time as he passed suddenly. It’s too mentally painful to wear his rings. But I still have them. My heart will always be married to him.
Former President Jimmy Carter and his wife married in 1946 until her passing in 2023. They were married for 77 years. He just celebrated his 100th birthday.
How do you stay married that long? Stubbornness. Seriously. Too many people think that divorce is an acceptable option. When you have committed, and believe in sticking to your commitments, then divorce is not an option. So you work things out. That's what it takes: not taking the easy way out.
I think it’s cool how he’s Asian yet considering he sounds like a Southerner he is popular with white people as opposed to only being popular with Asians like you would expect the average Asian comedian to be.
He was born and raised in Kentucky. I first saw him on “Designing Women” where the humor focused on one of the characters talking to him in broken English - who was shocked when he spoke.
@@hensonlaura@alexcrawford5350 Well, bless your heart.... Which among Southern, rural Appalachians means, "Pardon me Karen, but I think your high-horse has gotten loose again!" 😂 He is Asian by ETHNICITY! In the few performances I've seen, Mr Cho refers to himself as ethnically ASIAN! He even jokes about "token Asians" attending his shows. It's comedy, not a civil rights protest. 🤫 I'm pretty sure he doesn't mind.
He is naturally funny...effortless and clean jokes are by far the best!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I like how he interacts well with the crowd.
I really like this guy. He doesn't use the F word all the time. I mean go figure. To be just naturally funny. What a thought! Thanks Henry!
the closer you are to Christ the less you feel the need to use profanity.
But what do you mean "all the time?" From what I gather, he doesn't use any curse words AT ALL.
I’m so glad that he doesn’t insult or belittle his audience..like some others do to get cheap laughs.

Some mormons may disagree 😂
@@Shadow__133my stepdaughter claims to be married 13 years - it’s from 3 different men.
My parents were married 62 years when my dad passed away @ 93 in 2007. Mom passed away 14 years & 1 month later, just 3 weeks shy of 105!
Wow that's great
I had a great aunt and uncle that were married for 72 years. They were well into their 90s. He passed first and she followed less than a month later.

I like comedians that are funny and not nasty. Have you heard of Dry Bar Comedy? They’re comedians that are funny but always keep it clean
I love Dry Bar Comedy. Very funny but never nasty.

61?!?! YEARS?!?! IN A ROW?!?!
My parents were married for 68 years, until the day my dad passed away. My mom passed away 11 months later. I still miss them dearly.
omgoodness I just discovered this comedian and I am over here hollering 😂😂😂 Can’t wait to share with my mom & dad 55 years!!
62 years!? That’s called COMMITTED LOVE!
My mum and dad will be married 70 years this November 6 2024. And yes, they are still in love and live in their own home
He is so funny! 🤣🤣
We just had a neighbor die. He and his wife had been married 72 years

Loving the crowd work

Sounds like he was touring with... every other one.
30 years married in 9 days.. 😳😎
He forgot to ask the audience if there were any people there who hadn't been married sixty-two years, but it felt like it anyway.
Ya mon a true , I-Roy said "love is an understanding between 2 people or a misunderstanding between 2 fools
Wonderful as always
51 years. Married may 12, 1973😊

Thanks for sending me this suggestion UA-cam
Very succinct but very funny. It's an art.
Clean and actually funny!!🤣💕👏👍💯

By the time they are married 62 years, one of them probably has a room of their own. "))

My wife passed away in 2016. It would have been 32 years that year.
He reminds me of Bob Hope
my parents WERE also married for 25 years, emphases on the were part. (parents didnt die, they divorced).
My parents were married 67 you until my dad just passed on the 5th of September he was 91 years old.. would have been 92 in November
25th? and how old are you? I'm celebrating my 25th on September 2024 and I'm 49. No wonder I'm messed up.

I'm pretty sure he's American. We have all colors living here, & we're allowed to consider them all likeable, & relatable as humans.

Correction to my comment; he’s from Knoxville, TN not KY

That's weird. To me It shows comedians of all races. 🤔
