Like your grandfather, I like the cauliflower, garlic, & onions added too. Thanks for the demo, I like your recipe better than the one I have been using. :)
I loved that you mentioned the name in Spanish! “Jalapeños en escabeche” 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you for giving us so much content during these times, where theres nothing to do but cook and try new recipes.❤❤
I just love your recipes and your explanation of why you do things the way you do...so authentic!
I usually buy, never thought to make myself. Will be trying this recipe this week. Thank you!
Super easy recipe to follow. I forgot to purchase a carrot so i used a red serrano pepper for that pop of color. I also used 3 cloves of garlic in total. Everything else i kept the same. I cannot wait to have these with everything!!!! This would make a nice addition to a gift basket or any potluck. Thank you so much for this recipe. 💖
I was sitting here eating home made chips, salsa and a bowl of pickled jalapenos and a Modelo when this video came up...........you are almost reading my mind or I yours. Going to try this, it looks good. Thanks.
Can you use pickle jalapeños from can reuse the juice and just cook jalapeños
I've bought the whole jalapenos in a can, now I can make my own. Thanks

We use a lot of jalapenos. Never thought about trying to pickle them myself. But I will definitely try this. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your grampa’s recipe. This is the kind of thing I want to hand down to my son when he gets married and has children. I appreciate you ❤️😘
Just cut the bay leaf in half. The tannins in the bay makes pickled products crispy! Fabulous job!
Looking forward to making this.... with 75% carrots LOVE the spicy pickled carrots!!!
Im trying this, thanks
I loved your recipe 👍 nice presentation 👍👍
Thanks, happy Cinco De Mayo 💕
I love jalapenos , but I do not think that I have ever had a pickled jalapeno. I am definitely making this. Thanks for sharing 😋
The best in burritos, nachos, tacos, pizza or with rice. Pretty much anything. Oh and eggs. Lol.
I’m with you Jenn Esteves there good on anything! I put some in my pasta salad!
You’ll love them!!!
Hope you like them. I prefer them, using fresh only in certain recipes.
I LOVE THIS STUFF! Im in Miami and there are many Nicaraguan and Columbian restaurants that provide a very similar product (encurtidos/Aji)and its a glorious topping on meats and many other dishes. Thanks for sharing this recipe. Buen provecho
For some reason i ALWAYS CRAVE PICKLED JALAPEÑOS! IM EXCITED TO TRY THIS!!
Thanks for Sharing
Very Cool!! Thanks 🙏
Yummm. Thanks for sharing this recipe. Although can you make a pickled recipe exactly like this but add some nopales/cactus. I had some spicy Jalapeno tasting nopales once when I went to the flea market. They were so delicious! The lady from the flea market said some ppl don't care for them with the slime of the cactus but I honestly loved it as is. Thank you in advance.
Wow!!
I'm so glad i found a recipe by you on this i trust you so much lol
Thanks for this. I love them with my 🌮 ❣🥰🥳
Thank you for this! I’ll be making it this weekend. How long will it keep in the refrigerator?
Homemade foods 👍👍💜💙💚💛🍽 I like to pop open a can of the same mix from the store and snack on them with crackers
I planted jalapeño peppers in my garden and did not know what to do with all of them. Found this video and OMG, so easy and tasted great.
I think most us now in quarantine what we do is cooking hehehe. Thank you for sharing
I see that large Santuko Cutco knife ... I have the same set. lol Thank you for this recipe.
The carrots are my favorite. I pick through the peppers to get carrots.
Wow! thanks for the video Mam'a. Sadly, I made the recipe from a different site about ten minutes ago. Biggest difference is his used oregano and mustard seeds. I didn't have the seeds so I used French's mustard. Guess I'll see how it turns out. I love your videos though!
Thanks for the recipe. This is the one I was looking for, everyone else kept boiling the brine then pouring it over the jalapeños in the jar.
Making this today
Growing up in Chicago alot of Mexican restaurants would have pickled jalapeno carrots and cauliflower... So delicious
Yum. 😊
Awesome I'm going to try this and add habañeros & pickels just like the hot mamás 🔥
Love you!!😊
Easy recipe.
I pickled jalapeños last year, 1 sall jelly jar. All I did was wash well, put a pin hole in each jalapeño and added hot white vinegar. Stored it in fridge all winter. I did not know how to do it then. I figured that onions, salt, other flavorings would be fresh in my recipe then just added the peppers. Yours looks prettier. We have an Amish mixture with cauliflower, onions, carrots, broccoli, tomato and apple cider vinegar and sugar. We call it Chow- Chow. Can add whatever you want from your garden. Serve it like pickles!
Have you ever processed these and canned them for shelf storage? I understand the way they are made these are only for refrigerator storage. They look great, can't wait to make, thanks for all your great recipes.
Even just a piece of bay leaf has enough tannins to keep whatever is in the brine crisp. I use it for pickles or giardiniera. Also a tea bag works!
Hi! Love this! Just kind of curious. Is it necessary to add sugar?
Thank you!
Thank you for the recipe ,will try GRANDFATHERS different variations also ,can't wait with fish ,collard greens etc,
I love califlower and carrots with just a dab of jalapenos. Can't handle it too hot.
How do I keep my pepper from going soft. I like a pepper to be crispy fresh. I love your channel
GRANDFATHERS KNOW BEST..that jar full of jalapeños looks good ..i would eat just that as a snack..lol
I have a question. Do we have to wait a while and let them marinate before eating them. Love your recipes and your explanation of your recipes. Can't wait for your next one.
I let them cool or come to room temperature and they are ready. I typically like them better the next day. 😊
Hi Mama, I love allllll and I do mean allllll of your recipes. However I cant take the heat of the jalapenos but I like to stay in the kitchen. Is there anything else you can suggest that I use?
Can you do Pickles!?! 💛❤
"My grandfather used to... (DOUBLE UP ON EVERYTHING😅)"
MY MAN!🤣... a guy that knows (the ins and outs of pickling) what's up😅
God bless your grandfather🫡.
I will tomorrow
Hi. Is the knife your sister gave you a Cutco knife? It is such a pretty knife.
thk u mam
❤️
My husband just bought a big bag of jalapenos. I don't like them. He would love this. I'm gonna have to make these for him.
This is perfect for that. 😊
👍
In my experience the more oil you add the more heat the mixture produces. Have you noticed this? I’m with grandfather, I love the veggie mixture especially cucumbers (hot pickles).
Great point! That might be it. I have yet to try this with out oil. 😊
Do you keep it in the fridge, and its ready to go or let it sit for a few days?
If I were to can these by water bath how long would I need to do the water bath . Or have you tried canning? Thank you
Would apple cider vinegar be fine to use instead of vinegar?
Are these crunchy? I’m looking for a good way to keep them crisp at home.
