Much appreciated. I myself am trying to get away with a TAGER/WALDSTEIN team as a beginner to BBTAG because I love grappling in fighting games. I’m trying to get my friend, who’s also fgc savvy, to find a new character or team to work with and I think he’ll like linne. Preciate the effort man, power to ya.
The thing with Susano'o is that he has a number of weaknesses that can be exploited that can turn off new players from playing him whereas the characters in the list have no major weaknesses that bring them down, except MAYBE Yang
In my experience it's better to just pick whoever appeals to you the most, even if they are a difficult and complicated character, because you will be more motivated to learn them and practice than if you picked a character you didn't like just because they were simple to play.
No words describe how much i fucking love playing Linne/Yu, those two are the reason i got 350 hours on the switch version, they are the reason that made me go to training mode for the first time since i started playing fighting games, i wish the pc lobbies weren't dead and my pals had pcs that could actually run the game.
Linne 5B may have long range but its long recovery and start-up aren't exactly a good thing, her combos aren't exactly beginner friendly either since the most optimal stuff requires TK stuff, which most beginners don't even know what is a TK, and saying she'll "take a good chunk of HP" from any hit is kinda misleading, her damage is actually on the lower side only getting above 7~K damage with meter or CC stuff. apart from that i guess i'd agree she's rather simple, tho i'd say Akatsuki deserves that spot in the list rather than Linne, apart from that, good video.
Any of the other protagonists not listed is easier than her. Hell, I'd say that Hyde and Ragna are easier to use than Yu. I tend to struggle using Persona characters.
@@Jimmeeehhh i mean, tho she isn't a protag so that feels a bit out of place, but yeah Linne isn't exactly easy, she's simple on a surface level, they're different things. again i feel like Akat deserves that spot a lot more due to his simple gameplan, combos, and overall options. he's also a lot better meta wise, and his DP is one of the bests in the game lol
What I find funny is these were not the characters I expected to be on here (with Yumi being the exception of course.) From the uni cast at least, I always see Hyde and Gordeau suggested as beginner characters from other people's videos on UA-cam. Let me just say if I saw Gordeau on here, I was about to give ten reasons why he's not a beginners character let me tell you XD. As a Gordeau main. When you start up his combo section in the tactics menu. If you don't know what jump canceling is by combo 2, YOU WILL! Even if the game doesn't tell you. You will eventually have to research how to jump cancel if you want to be a good Gordeau main. He's a very combo oriented/assist driven character. Point is Gordeau is one of the worse characters to start with if jump canceling isn't your thing. Hyde is like a thousand times worse by the way. I'm still stuck on combo 4 or 5 I think it was when it took me weeks to pull off Gordeaus 6th combo only once. If your new to the game. I would try to practice with a character that isn't very combo or jump cancel heavy first. I haven't played EVERY character, but if your looking for one just to do what I call finger training. I actually would suggest Carmine only because yes. He can be combo oriented and he can jump cancel, but you don't have to play him that way if you don't want too. I think the take away is he teaches you what each of his attacks does, what effects they have (high and low attacks) and how to memorize them effectively. And even if you aren't into memorizing the shield triangle at the moment. You can still have fun playing as him no matter what because he is so unpredictable. That's just my take away from this anyway. Aside from the health gadge management which I also think is important to learn as well.
I’d play narukami in BBTAG if I didn’t play P4AU because he feels so weird in this game. like Raging Lion (j.214A/B in P4AU) is j.C in this game and it feels weird as fuck to me. same reason why I don’t play the rest of the persona cast except for adachi and naoto since their implementation feels natural to me
Say NO to dlc (THE EXPANSION PACK)characters, they are wayyyyyyyyyyyyy stronger than the Base casts, the dlc simply make X Tag a pay to win game, don't believe me? try Adachi. Or Eliz, Hilda
This man putting out excellent BBTag content and got 15 subs.
Keep up the good work and I know this channel is gonna grow really soon
This is an amazing video why do you only have 17 subs lmao. You should put out more video's because these are well done honestly
Got back into this game after almost 3yrs....Yumi, Adachi, Hilda, Susanno, Nu 13, and Akatsuki are all I see

I’m pretty surprised susanoo isn’t on this list he’s very easy to play with lots of fun combo potentials

Didn't realize this BB title had so many cool characters from other series I liked...might have to check this out
Finally found a good starter guide that isnt "do this massive button input you must know"
Thank you! Great vid!
Thank you for keeping this old game Going
My boy on the bbtag content grind!
Wish you the best going forward!!
See I started with Yang for the fact her attacks felt like they flowed and so I studied her combos...she magically became a samurai with counters
As a newer player to this game picking it up years after release I'd say Blake is quite beginner friendly as well myself.

good content! keep it up!
i just recently got the game and I've been having a blast with it.
Just picked up the game so this was very useful. Thanks!
Really great video
This is a nice video I will go share it 🔥
Picked Sussnoo/yumi, easy enough. Tho picked up yang to
Thanks for this ^^
Was gonna play Yu anyway since I'm playing p4
When each character combined has a skill floor on the same level as CELICA in BBCF, everybody is a beginner character.

I Really Hope This lows Up Soon
I just wanna know what that Es was doing at 6:14, never thought of that one before.
i come from melty and teggen is this game really that easy?
I picked up Hyde and Linne, now my friends hate them 😂
There are 53 characters in BBTAG, not 54.
I’d play narukami in BBTAG if I didn’t play P4AU because he feels so weird in this game. like Raging Lion (j.214A/B in P4AU) is j.C in this game and it feels weird as fuck to me. same reason why I don’t play the rest of the persona cast except for adachi and naoto since their implementation feels natural to me
I DONT HAVE YUMI
Notice how none of the easy characters are from blazblue
Yumi is OP
Ruby is good but for me she lacks combos
54 characters yet only like 20 of them are ftp
Support a old game
this man recommended yumi ;_;
Yumi is just that strong my friend.
As much as I dislike how strong she is, it would be a crime to not put her here.
Yumi is definitely the correct answer lol

Or... Play who you want and disregard what's meta or not. Your experience, your rules.
A good amount of the base roster is really good though
