Welcome to Lovebites! They're the best metal band to come along in decades, and take influence and inspiration from classic metal bands of the 80s and the 90s. They are generally better live than in MVs. They are primarily power metal and thrash, and are definitely heavy metal. Their entire catalog is amazing. 100% English, there's one song, that has a Japanese original version as well ("Bravehearted"). It's the only song written by the drummer Haruna, and it's more or less pre-LOVEBITES, and it was on the debut EP "The LOVEBITES EP", which was quasi a demo tape, that was later (surprisingly) released. Singer Asami did some English lyrics for the debut LP version "Awakening From Abyss" (English version). All other songs are in English (although the lyrics are in Japanese first and then translated with assistence of a natural English speaker).

This song gets a lot of reactors thinking DragonForce but much of LOVEBITES catalog is much heavier than DF. They draw comparisons to Iron Maiden, Helloween, Slayer, Testament, and Metallica too. They also utilize the keyboard/piano giving them Rush and Dream Theater vibes. There is a lot more phenomenal music from Lovebites to check out. You'll love it all. Trust me.

Welcome to Lovebites, the Wolfpack, Lovebites fans around the world will be along to give you information. Lovebites are a five piece all female Japanese metal band. They take much of their inspiration from the British and European metal bands of the 70's and 80's such as Iron Maiden, Metallica and Judas Priest. One of the founding members, Miho, is a big fan of Steve Harris, bass player with Maiden. They were formed in 2016 by Miho and Haruna, who both had been members of an earlier band, Destrose, which broke up in 2015. Band Maid are Rock, Lovebites more Metal. There were 3 members of Lovebites in the audience for Band Maids 10th anniversary concert in Yokohama last year. I think we can say they are friends and respect each other. The members of Lovebites are, Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained as a Ballet Dancer and before Lovebites was a R&B singer. Writes many of the lyrics and sings in English. Midori, Guitar. The blond 'Amazon Warrior'. She is a body builder and has scored highly in competitions. Miyako. Guitar, Piano and Keyboards. The one with long black hair. A classically trained pianist, she composes much of the bands music, often incorporating themes from classical music into her compositions. Both guitarists play lead, swapping back and forth lead and rhythm. Their harmonised solos are a wonder to behold. Haruna, Drums. Nicknamed 'Little BIG Engine' due to her diminutive size, 1.4 meters tall, and her relentless speed and precision over concerts that can be up to near two hours long. Miho, Bass Guitar. Co founder along with Haruna. Miho left the band in late 2021 due to personal reasons. The band then went on hiatus for several months with Miyako and Asami both having babies. They recruited a replacement bass player in 2022 in the form of then 20 year old Fami, performing the first concert with her in the line up in March 2023. Fami has her own YT channel with nearly 700,000 subs. A few recommendations for further listening. Thunder Vengeance, M.D.O., Winds of Transylvania (written for a crazy Japanese Anime series Vlad Love) Frozen Serenade, Edge of the World, Epilogue, Swan Song with Chopin piano introduction played by Miyako, Holy War, Scream For Me, this last one for some insanely good guitar playing back and forth from Miyako and Midori. (although that is true of nearly everything they do) Live performance videos from Lovebites are as good or, usually, better than music videos. Whatever you choose, if you enjoyed this, I don't think you will be disappointed. I regard Lovebites as one of the best bands I have heard in nearly 60 years of listening to rock and metal. Although Lovebites has toured and performed onstage with Dragonforce, they aren't particularly influenced by them. Rather, both Lovebites and Dragonforce are influenced by Helloween, and that's the influence you are hearing.

If you check out LOVEBITES more you will realize that their music is noticeably different from DRAGONFORCE's music. The music of LOVEBITES covers many more genres than the music of DRAGONFORCE. For example, LOVEBITES has a lot of thrash metal songs. If you mean guitarists and guitar playing speed, there are many guitarists in Japan who can play very fast. In addition, both guitarists played in metalcore bands before LOVEBITES and were leaders, each in their own band. The guitarists of LOVEBITES were (according to them) primarily influenced by such guitarists as Y.Malmsteen, Syu, K.Loureiro, N.Bettencourt, R.Blackmore, S.LePage, T.Henson. Bands that influenced LOVEBITES are IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST, METALLICA, If you check, for example, the songs 'Break the Wall' ( clear influence of METALLICA) or the song 'Thunder Vengeance' (which bassist Miho wrote under the influence of a SLAYER performance she saw at a rock festival in Japan), then you will understand that DRAGONFORCE has nothing to do with it at all. 🤗

Welcome to Lovebites! They're the best metal band to come along in decades, and take influence and inspiration from classic metal bands of the 80s and the 90s. They are generally better live than in MVs. They are primarily power metal and thrash, and are definitely heavy metal. Their entire catalog is amazing. 100% English, there's one song, that has a Japanese original version as well ("Bravehearted"). It's the only song written by the drummer Haruna, and it's more or less pre-LOVEBITES, and it was on the debut EP "The LOVEBITES EP", which was quasi a demo tape, that was later (surprisingly) released. Singer Asami did some English lyrics for the debut LP version "Awakening From Abyss" (English version). All other songs are in English (although the lyrics are in Japanese first and then translated with assistence of a natural English speaker).

①Heavy metal (basic policy)

③White costumes (Most metal bands wear black costumes, and if these short girls wore black costumes, they would be hidden, so they wear white costumes to contrast and stand out.)
④High heels (to compensate for short height)

Welcome to Lovebites, the Wolfpack, Lovebites fans around the world will be along to give you information.
Lovebites are a five piece all female Japanese metal band. They take much of their inspiration from the British and European metal bands of the 70's and 80's such as Iron Maiden, Metallica and Judas Priest. One of the founding members, Miho, is a big fan of Steve Harris, bass player with Maiden. They were formed in 2016 by Miho and Haruna, who both had been members of an earlier band, Destrose, which broke up in 2015.
Band Maid are Rock, Lovebites more Metal. There were 3 members of Lovebites in the audience for Band Maids 10th anniversary concert in Yokohama last year. I think we can say they are friends and respect each other.
The members of Lovebites are,
Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained as a Ballet Dancer and before Lovebites was a R&B singer. Writes many of the lyrics and sings in English.
Midori, Guitar. The blond 'Amazon Warrior'. She is a body builder and has scored highly in competitions.
Miyako. Guitar, Piano and Keyboards. The one with long black hair. A classically trained pianist, she composes much of the bands music, often incorporating themes from classical music into her compositions.
Both guitarists play lead, swapping back and forth lead and rhythm. Their harmonised solos are a wonder to behold.
Haruna, Drums. Nicknamed 'Little BIG Engine' due to her diminutive size, 1.4 meters tall, and her relentless speed and precision over concerts that can be up to near two hours long.
Miho, Bass Guitar. Co founder along with Haruna.
Miho left the band in late 2021 due to personal reasons.
The band then went on hiatus for several months with Miyako and Asami both having babies.
They recruited a replacement bass player in 2022 in the form of then 20 year old Fami, performing the first concert with her in the line up in March 2023.
Fami has her own YT channel with nearly 700,000 subs.
A few recommendations for further listening. Thunder Vengeance, M.D.O., Winds of Transylvania (written for a crazy Japanese Anime series Vlad Love) Frozen Serenade, Edge of the World, Epilogue, Swan Song with Chopin piano introduction played by Miyako, Holy War, Scream For Me, this last one for some insanely good guitar playing back and forth from Miyako and Midori. (although that is true of nearly everything they do)
Live performance videos from Lovebites are as good or, usually, better than music videos. Whatever you choose, if you enjoyed this, I don't think you will be disappointed. I regard Lovebites as one of the best bands I have heard in nearly 60 years of listening to rock and metal. They are just about to kick off a tour of Europe and make their North American debut at Atlanta in September. I'm going to see them play in London next week. 🐺

Here some information about them:
The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album came out in 2017. So far LOVEBITES have released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of DVD/Blu-ray live recordings.
Back in 2018/2019 LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe, including appearances at the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band.
Then came covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After a break LOVEBITES came back with new bassist Fami and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. A new album with the same title came out in February 2023.
This year in June LOVEBITES‘ first world tour starts in Europe. In September they will play their biggest headline show ever in Tokyo. After that LOVEBITES will have their US debut …

Asami on vocals (the one and only voice):
She has an amazing vocal range and vibrato, writes most of the lyrics, also did parts of the song writing for their latest 2 albums, she is a former ballerina and RnB/soul singer
Miyako on guitars, piano, keyboards (the golden touch):
She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, furthermore she is a gear nerd
Midori on guitars (crazy shredder):
Incredibly fast and technical guitar player, has contributed to songwriting for a few of their songs, also she is a body fitness athlete
Haruna on drums (little big engine):
Plays very fast pace over long distances, she is very efficient and her stamina is admirable, the cymbal work is outstanding, she also wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food
Fami on bass since 2022 (shining fingers):
Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop
Miho on bass until 2021 (natural born headbanger):
We will never forget her, she is a great bass player, she wrote several of the songs for the band’s albums 1-3

LOVEBITES is a five-member all-female, Japanese heavy metal band with deep musicianship (plus classical music/piano background). They transcend gender, genre, and geography, with some 60 songs in their discography. They won Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for Best New Band (2018), toured with Dragonforce (2019), first female Japanese band to perform at Wacken Open Air (Germany) and others in Europe, and are unusual among Japanese bands in choosing to sing in English plus good lyrics (a daunting task for native Japanese speakers).

This song is very much Power Metal (Japanese Dragonforce), but you should check out some of their thrash songs (Japanese Slayer maybe). Although Lovebites has toured and performed onstage with Dragonforce, they aren't particularly influenced by them. Rather, both Lovebites and Dragonforce are influenced by Helloween, and that's the influence you are hearing.

If you check out LOVEBITES more you will realize that their music is noticeably different from DRAGONFORCE's music. The music of LOVEBITES covers many more genres than the music of DRAGONFORCE. For example, LOVEBITES has a lot of thrash metal songs.
If you mean guitarists and guitar playing speed, there are many guitarists in Japan who can play very fast. In addition, both guitarists played in metalcore bands before LOVEBITES and were leaders, each in their own band. The guitarists of LOVEBITES were (according to them) primarily influenced by such guitarists as Y.Malmsteen, Syu, K.Loureiro, N.Bettencourt, R.Blackmore, S.LePage, T.Henson.
