As far as i know, Gili Islands arent part of Bali. They are part of Lombok.
Dhanny Kusnadi is correct. The Gili Islands are not part of Bali, but rather part of Lombok, which is a neighboring island to Bali. The three small islands, Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, and Gili Air, are located off the northwest coast of Lombok and are a popular destination for tourists seeking a quieter and more laid-back atmosphere than the hustle and bustle of Bali. While they are not technically part of Bali, many travelers to Bali often visit the Gili Islands as part of their trip.

Things have changed in Bali- the rent & food prices are outrageous and have tripled with WAY too many people/crime there now! Do NOT go STAY AWAY unless you have tons of money! Go to the Philippines - so CHEAP and beautiful!!!!
