- In this video I demonstrate the process of saving three walnut logs from the possibility of becoming firewood.
I received these freshly cut logs from my father-in-law as firewood for the fireplace, but then decided to give them another purpose.
It was a long process of transformation, but the result is worth the effort and a new experience for me, as I've never worked with walnut boards before. It's a soft tree with an interesting color structure.
Later on I gifted this walnut cabinet to my parents.

So glad you decided to save the firewood! Something about walnut makes me save every scrap and looks great with shellac. Nicely done with the wiring and bleed to the front of the glass and wiring the PB switches and/or. The mosaic and your attention to the details, hand fits and fixtures is inspiring! Thank You Nick!

An excellent use of Walnut Logs with great Ideas And Fantastic Design. The smell, colour and texture of the Walnut wood gives it a unique design, something you can't get with synthetic wood, or store bought furniture. A clever cabinet project that will no doubt last for years to come!

wow super impressed, at first I was like why is he putting the lights in horizontally like that then when you slid the glass shelf in to encompass the light strip I had that I would have never thought about that look on my face. Had to compliment you sir it is an art and you are very good at it.

king furniture. At 70 and widower I have no need. I just enjoy watching people making things. I watch many different channels on woodwork, house building and repairs.

eine wunderschöne Arbeit. Hier kommt die Maserung vom Nussholz richtig zur Geltung. Leider findet man dieses Holz komm noch. Beliebt ist mehr Esche, Buche, Ahorn - eher hellere Holzarten.

I like it. I'm pretty sure I would prefer an all resin finish if it was mine, but the oil still looks good. I just like the resin better. The design itself is quite nice. Great job!

Instead of using torch or heat to try get get bubbles out of epoxy, try to use the spray corrector or bubble remover. You get a lot smoother result and very easy to use.
Usually spray corrector for bubbles is used when pouring large volumes of epoxy resin it does not raise the overall temperature of the resin. In my case, the heating fan is more practical because I do not work with large volumes, it is always at hand and you do not need always run to a specialty store to buy it when it suddenly runs out
