Not true. Trust me I don't like Sanders... In fact I think he is the top 5 worst US politicians list. But giving 600,000$ to feed the poor won't go very far... Not to mention what happens after its gone. But I see what you mean, if he cared so much he'd do such a gesture...
Socialism refers to a broad array of doctrines or political movements that envisage a socio-economic system in which the ownership of industry and the distribution of wealth are determined by the state or by agents of the state or the collective. In its most general sense, socialism seeks the co-prosperity and common cause of all people, which could be accomplished without force in religious and utopian communities. But, in general practice, it refers to the use of state force to redistribute wealth. Socialism developed as a political ideology in the nineteenth century as a reaction to industrial injustice, labor exploitation, and unemployment in Europe. For Karl Marx, who helped establish and define the modern theory of socialism, societal problems were rooted in an economic system which relied on the private ownership of property, and led to wealth remaining in the hands of a few and at the cost of the laborers who were the source of wealth. Marx advocated a revolution of the working class which would lead to collective ownership of the means of production (property and capital). This control, according to Marx's successors, may be either direct, exercised through popular collectives such as workers' councils, or it may be indirect, exercised on behalf of the people by the state. www.newworldencyclopedia.org/entry/Socialism
The footage in the video is Caracas Venezuela, there's a shortage of food thanks to Democratic Socialism. One line is for powdered milk, the other line is for the grocery store. ya it was a good thing when there was embargos on nicaragua in the mid 80s so it was either breadlines or starve. its equal to saying food pantries and soup kitchens are a good thing here

+Keith “When I talk about Democratic socialist, I’m not looking at Venezuela. I’m not looking at Cuba. I’m looking at countries like Denmark and Sweden,” Sanders said. The question of his brand of socialism, and the underlying question of his electability, has been raised repeatedly over the last several months. Confronted with making the distinction during a town hall hosted by MSNBC in Nevada, Sanders was readily game to describe why Hispanic families should not be fearful of his policies. www.msnbc.com/msnbc/cuban-venezuelan-immigrants-wrestle-bernie-sanders-brand-socialism

A few things I noted in this video. 1) What is happening in Venezuela is just plain Socialism not the Democratic kind. Anyone who has been paying attention realizes this. 2) His comment was not that he wants people standing in line for food it was obviously that standing in line for food is better than not having any food at all. And I agree. 3) This video is not what Bernie wants America to be. But for some reason it seems to indicate that to the viewers. I can only assume this video was made with malicious intent to mislead its audience because it doesn't require a very great deal of intelligence to realize that it is all just a load of crap.

+smokalottapottamus So by your own admission, it's from food shortages and not from systemic socialism that caused it! That's what I meant I'm glad we agree :)
+mario St-Onge No that's not what he said. He said "Sometimes American journalists talk about how bad another country is because people are lining up for food. That's a good thing, in other countries people don't line up for food, the rich get the food and the poor starve to death." He was talking about Nicaragua and that clip is from an interview he did about his visit there.
Bern could sell just one of his many houses and feed the poor and starving people for months

No, you see, they're feeling the Bern _of_ starvation!
Burnt Bernie is not the answer for us.

“B-B-But THATS NOT REEEL SOCIALISM!”
Bernie SPECIFICALLY said that people lining up for food in THOSE countries is a GOOD THING. Nobody is taking anything out of context.
Both are not real footage of food lines. I feel like I found a real crackpot! Genuine article here.

This is total propaganda, talk about distorting what Bernie actually said.
Which is :: FOOD LINES ARE BETTER THAN DYING OF HUNGER.

Voting for Trump and living in a civilized economy is better than Bernie Sander's vision of standing in bread lines which is better than starvation.
Food lines = dying of hunger
MARIO---OK SO VOTE FOR BERNIE---I'll STICK BY TRUMP..
Even when it is millions of people who didn't have to wait during capitalism?
It's simple... Lazy people want Bernie and socialism
Why the scary music?
You're telling me possibly starving because of a government choice to take away such payment for resources... Isn't scary?
@@mathiaskanuck6759 I think I can understand why what he’s saying is bad without the music lol
