Why do these OLD DEMONS have SO MANY DISLIKES?

- I played some REALLY old Geometry Dash demons to see why some of them have so many dislikes. The results were really interesting. Some levels I could definitely see why, but others played perfectly fine.

As a person of 1.4, people loved the easy levels, and disliked the really hard ones.
Edit: Straight fly used to be considered impossible and those levels were actually not rated or rated for a short time

To The Grave, Extreme Park and Demon World are all examples of the hardest demons in the game back when they were made, hence their dislike ratios since high difficulty was looked down upon back in the day. To The Grave and Extreme Park are both possible on 60hz so if you wanna properly try them play them on 60hz

Hey Stormfly, how hard was the unnerfed Hell and Heaven again? Wasn't Hell and Heaven originally a Top 1 for it's Time if I remember it correctly?
Most of these levels were disliked back in the day when everyone thought they were impossible. they are actually gaining likes now.
edit: also straight fly was harder than the mechanics were changed for ship in 2.0 making it easier. the main way to make things hard back in the day was ship
they were so hard cus everyone played on mobile
i play on mobile and i have 7 demons after only playing for 2 months its not that bad though harder demons are impossible

3:08 Extreme Park was the hardest. Demon Park, To The Grave, The Nightmare, The Lightning Road, Extreme Park and Super Cycles were all rated demon at the same time.
super cycles actually came out after in 1.3, so the first 5 demons were all 1.2

The sounds Eric was making during Hell n Heaven was hilarious.... then I realized he did them after recording and put them in over the audio while editing.... then they got even more hilarious 🤣🤣🤣
Actually back in 1.9 there were “how to…” songs on newgrounds so you could play levels with similar effect(that were mostly auto versions of main levels), they all were banned unfortunately

Most of these ones were disliked since the difficulty was so absurd at the time for the average players to attempt it. If you wanna try them demons on stream go ahead, we would love it, just make sure that some are indeed possible on 60Hz since many creators were at mobile back then. This is something that seems ridiculous today, but from what I’ve heard back in the day levels with extreme difficulty were looked down upon due, to most players loving easy, simple levels.
Fun fact I watched a video about this, back in the day which I wasn’t apart of, people disliked the levels that were extremely hard because they didn’t like them
did you know at one point after this video came out, Hell and heaven once had 0 likes or dislikes with 159,000 plays, thats crazy
ICDX wasn't even a concept back when Demon World was created.
ICDX uses Clubstep, which I'm pretty sure was released in 1.6, while DW is like 1.2 because of the ball.
Pro tip: wait until geometry dash is dead so you can upload your level and there will be nobody to dislike it

A long time ago making really hard levels was fround upon so some of them just were hated for being hard probably.
History repeats itself with all the "Top 1" Extreme Demons being released
In the oldest levels, the only nightmare things are mirror portals and huge memorization.

the only reason they were disliked because hard levels weren’t appreciated much and stayed on the dislike ratio until 1.9 these levels started to get appreciated by the players

You talking about how the game was mobile only wants me to tell the story of when my friend beat Cataclysm on his phone, while it was still #1 (i know it was out on pc at the time, but still) . We all saw him do it in child care, he cried so much when he beat it xd. He also beat ICDX while it was #1. Cracked. The 1 thing that i hate about it now, is he didn't even record it. How are u going to beat 2 top 1s on mobile and not record it
I've dislike botted a few of these levels but not as many dislikes as the levels have now, I think the thing is that when people see a level has loads of dislikes it makes them more likely to dislike the level, could be a psychological thing like maybe they think a like will have no significance. So you only need to dislike the levels down to about -200 dislikes and then it will get more and more overtime

I remember in the earlier version when everybody hated levels only because they were hard, nowadays people find it ridiculous when people dislike levels because they are hard but before it wasn't considered as ridiculous

You should do Extreme AnnoPark, a remake of Extreme Park, it’s much better and is actually fun (until the maze at like 70)

For a little bit of context, many players would be unable to complete such hard levels and as a result were put in a massive dislike ratio, specifically because people didn't like them because of their extreme difficulty at the time. I get this info from watching hours of SEA1997 and Stormfly.
Can you try to do the robtop levels as a mini cube?
Most of them are impossible, but that sounds interesting
@Uncodable triple spikes are only possible with mini cube if you move it 5 spaces inwards

Yes, To The Grave was the Hardest Demon back when it was realeased (1.2 or 1.3, i don't remember)
The first 5 demons were all released in 1.2, but the demon was introduced in 1.3, so they all got reverted from insane to demon.

The reason they have that. Many dislikes is because people didn’t appreciate demons as much as they do today
I saw someone say that evw did demon world but I can't find a video.
Edit: also I've beaten extreme park and demon world, they're PAIN, considering how difficult straightfly was back in the day and the fact that it's at the end of the level right before a buggy ending, and after ALL OF THAT GARBAGE... yeah demon world was hacked, also another old demon which I found really fun is offline by spawn.

1.They cant beat it...
2.Annoying gameplay...
3.Its too hard like timings and sometimes memorization based gameplay...

To The Grave: 9.5/10 Beat it. Extreme Park: 0.5/10 I hate that level. Demon Park: 1.5/10 Still very bad. Hell and Heaven: 9/10 Beat it. 69 Machine: 9/10 Beat it (The name though lol)

I think Eric should do Extreme park. Yes it is complete memory. But it is such a fun level. At least for me (Rabbitical is Rabb2t)

as someone who has beaten every level shown in this vid, yeah you should play some of them. Extreme park and demon world are kinda shit though. Extreme Park has very little skill requirement it’s just literally all memory, if you don’t like that then definitely do not play that level. demon world is a little tight at some points but it’s easily doable. a lot of these older demons were kinda hard for me but I know someone of your level could clear them really fast.

Most of these "bugs" are hurtz glitches, I play mobile and all those early demons are fine
Edit: this edit is for evw, some of these early levels like extreme park, become really fun levels once you remember the path
