Please watch this movie. (friends please like/upvote so that Korbin sees this recommendation). This is a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film. His first as director and his most sincere work. Great story and acting by all especially Nana Patekar and Seema Biswas. Music of this film is just Wow! But ironic given the title of the film is Khamoshi (meaning Silence). Full title: Khamoshi - The Musical... Will love to see your review of this movie sometime soon. Also, the heroine Manisha Koirala is a great actress of 90s that you haven't explored much and for musicality watch her another film "1942 A love story" (last movie of great music composer RD Burman), and its director is Vidhu Vinod Chopra (again a great film maker who produced the previous Hirani films before Dunki, directed the recent success "12th Fail" and a must must watch movie "Parinda" from 1989 starring Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit and Nana Patekar). A final recommendation - please watch and review Jaane bhi do Yaron (a great dark comedy of 80s and cult classic with a stellar cast of some great actors like Naseer, Om Puri, Pankaj Kapur and Neena Gupta).
6:00 kissing on lips is a metaphorically expression of love in the west but at the same time the symbol of lust in the east and instead of that cheeks and forehead kissed to show purity (free from lust) of his/her love metaphorically.
This is one of the most beautiful movies of Bollywood …. Sanjay Leela Bhansali made it magical …. The whole cast acted amazing .. and so do the music album …
manisha koirala is one of those rarest actresses who can cry without a glycerin and can do that repeatedly for multiple takes. She has lived a very wild life every shade of a color palate. Babylon movie reminds us of 80s and 90s bollywood. In many movies Manisha Koirala has literally put no makeup even in one of my fav films Dil Se.
@@rushabhshah.2768 Sau Dard song, Tere naam ending scene especially, tadap tadap ke song from HDDCS. Even Akshay said in one interview that he SK is great at those scenes. I heard Kabir and Ali Abbas speaking the same thing.
I would recommend watching the movie, this is SLB first movie. The acting by all in this movie is great. The chemistry between Manisha and Salman is one of the high points. There is a song called 'Yeh Dil Sun Raha Hai' which is so beautiful. I think it might be best not to react to that song, it should be saved when you watch the movie. It's so beautifully done. I would also recommend watching it with the lights off and in silence. The sound of the birds and the sea just elevates the cinematic experience.
Khamoshi is not just Sanjay Leela Bhansali's debut film but his most honest work (according to me). Everything about it is beautiful... the music, the performances, the story, but you'll have to excuse Salman Khan. Nana Patekar and Seema Biswas shine through their performance as a deaf and mute couple. The songs take you to places you didn't know existed. It, for sure, is a good watch.
I feel Salman Khan is a decent actor who did some sincere work in his initial days. Maine Pyar Kiya is my favourite film of his, maybe because of the nostalgia it brings for me. I think he was pretty good in it and still have a crush on Prem. Over the years he's done good work here and there, but he predominantly works for the brand 'Salman Khan' and does the kind of acting his fans associate him with. No offense to his fans. It's just a personal opinion.
Sanjay Bhansali's best film for me. The soundtrack is exquisite! Jatin-Lalit composed some amazing songs for the movie. Oscar winning film CODA had a suspiciously similar story.
Surprised Korbin didn't do his usual real-time google search for more details...he would have found out this was from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's directorial debut Khamoshi...one of his most sincere works even though it isn't as flashy as his later projects...
I have been asking you to watch this movie since your first exposure to the magic of SLB. People dismiss him as a master of spectacle and grandeur, all fluff but no substance etc etc. This film (and alter Black and Guzaarish) show however his true strength - his grasp on human emotions and his expertise in being able to tug at your heart strings. This was his debut in fact! Brilliant superlative performances from a great ensemble cast - the lead actress Manisha Koirala (Dil se, Bombay, Lust stories - you loved her in that, Sanju), Nana Patekar, Sima Biswas (Bandit Queen) and a powerful cameo by Helen. The movie is called Khamoshi - the musical for a reason, its soundtrack is one of the GREATEST of all time in Indian cinema. Also, it is based on the same story as CODA - and since you love CODA, it would be interesting to see how you find this one which came out 20 years before CODA.
This was Bansali's debute as a director. Probably the most grounded film he ever made. Guys plz watch it. U will see amazing performacea by Manisha, Nana Patekar and Sima Biswas. Salman was also good in this one.
Just like the one you are describing here Rick at 1.00 min, is an underrated movie which was released on prime last month, Mast mein rehne ka, you guys should give it a try. It’s a beautiful movie. Starring Jackie shroff, Neena Gupta, and a few others.
Jatin Lalit music diectors. They have created some of the most iconic music of thr 90s and early 2000s. It would be good to research their music. It may connect some dots for you.
Aj main upar from this movie,, song is very fun & beautiful ❤ manisha songs r so gd like "Rimjhim rimjhim" from 1942 love story is the best love song or can say rain song
@OURSTUPIDREACTIONS If you had the lyrics translation, it would be such a great experience for you to follow the choreography of their movements and emotions through the song
Salman is such a clean cut looking guy that this level of intimacy also doesn't suit him i can't see him in the way srk suits till this level but not salman Ajay . I just want to see salman clean cut romance hugging, cute faces ,arms. Akshay suitable for all types of intimacy too cute to liplock
Now that’s an actor, better then any actor I ever seen, the best, king of romance king of action, uncle of terminator, grandfather of Bruce lee, last action hero. Better then any garbage actor in Hollywood Tom cruise or brad Pitt, Salman is g.o.a.t. I AM SALMAN FAN
Hi guys big admirer, please react to sunny Deol's movie Ghaatak - A Lethal (1996). And watch it as well. Movie stars amrish puri , om Puri , Danny danzongpa and sunny deol as lead. It's an amazing movie. You guys have no idea how big sunny deol was in 90s. Still has very big following in our parents generation.
This movie was directorial debut of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. A beautiful movie with terrific performances by everyone.

Salman Khan looking damn handsome ❤❤
Always loved salman in romantic roles he looks so natural, ❤️
OMG RICK YES! As a kid I used to see my parents dance on this song all the time. :’)
That's so sweet
This is such a beautiful and underrated song.
Two iconic songs you need to get to: 'Kabootar Ja Ja Ja' with Salman-Bhagyashree and 'Wah Wah Ramji' with Salman-Madhuri. Ta. 🧡
They won't do such songs. They only pick mediocre songs. Bloody idiots.

Salman Khan at that time was a good enough actor to be honest and was so handsome.

Guys, react to another Salman Khan early 2000s romantic song "sun zara" from the movie Lucky- No Time For Love.
React to 'Yeh dil sun raha hai ' song from the same film.
Oh my God...thats one of my favourite songs....and Salman looked his best in that song....

‘Khamoshi: The Musical’ was ‘CODA’ before ‘CODA’. The only difference is authentic deaf representation.
