This video was absolutely perfect! Exactly the tips and information I needed between this video and the next weed video you posted about perennial weeds. I've started my first garden in Alberta this year and it's been so hard trying to figure out what are weeds and what aren't, hahaha
Good information! I like the idea of getting that seedlings book. I know what a lot of the different weeds look like when they first pop up, but there are still some I’m not sure of so I let grow for a bit until I’ve determined that yes they are a weed so I pull it. And I agree, the key is to keep on top of it! I’m out there every other day and there’s always new weeds. The one you didn’t mention that I’m always fighting with is quack grass. Ugh. So annoying! Any tips to get rid of it? Both in my flower beds (which at least I can dig them to get the roots) but harder to control is in the grass. Tips?
Hi, the books I recommended in this video I purchased from Olds College. I haven't thought about writing a book. I'd have to give that some thought. You never know what the future might hold, but at this point there is no book writing in my future.
Thanks for your videos. Learning so much as a new gardener!

Figuring out all those little weeds is hard when you are just starting out. I'm so glad that this helped.

Yes to the quack grass! After I had posted the video I realized I had forgotten it!
I will have to do a follow up video about quack grass. Thx
Have you published your book? I would like to buy one

Ralphie found his glasses .
Very good, however I feel that stating the Latin names in addition to the common names would have enhanced your presentation. Thank you!
Yes Latin names are important, which is why I added them to my later videos. Thanks for stopping by.
